I say this about my good friend who's a figure skating coach, and a phenomenal skater herself: Watching someone who is truly a master at their craft go to work is a joy to watch.
I don't enjoy cooking whatsoever.
But for years now I've been a fan of Chef Ramsay's work. Undeniably one of the hardest working and most dedicated people on the planet.
His work ethic, expectations, and leadership is inspiring.
I imagine Gordon Ramsey narrating his life the same way he does cooking.

I like how, as skilled as he is, Gordon still makes mistakes sometimes. Of course he does, he's human, BUT he knows how to fix his mistakes and he's very good at explaining how and why.
Yea I can't stand these guys who are just perfect every time. That doesn't actually help people learn. You learn more from a mistake than from a perfect demonstration, and it helps you know what to do when you make the same mistake.

This shows that cooking is not just "art", as people call it, in fact is just a set of procedures followed to perfection
Watching Gordon Ramsay prepare and cook food is almost as relaxing as watching Bob Ross paint.
In each case Gordon has developed his own technique that works, and for showing others he's made an art of it. I learned slightly different methods of carving a salmon or a lobster that yield the same results, so it's just a matter of establishing your technique.

Imagine how many failed Salmon, Lobster and chicken dissecting must Chef Ramsey get berated, scolded and thrown away until he could cut them all with impeccable precision and impressive agility.
I mean no way you wouldnt study cutting/dissecting precious salmon and lobster beforehand. But yeah the amount of time he put into preperation and research on how to cut em effectively is enormous.
He didn't become a chef overnight. He had to do it for the first time and fuck it up many times after that. To learn is to make mistakes. To make mistakes is human.
@@ywlan Its so so different to study it and actually doing it, you can have that knowledge but once you are in front of a whole fish for the first time, you get very nervous, the books dont prepare you for the many many variables
.5 fish in and your fear dissipates, 25 fish in you star gaining a little confidence.
@@NooBHunterXP Besides, it's not thrown away. When cutting sushi for example, you use the best parts for the nigiri, long uneven parts for maki and small parts for tartare. Nothing is ever lost in a salmon, just that as you practice, you get more "good" parts and fewer failed parts.
