Summer bass fishing can be really good and really difficult at times. There have been days where I hate being out there and days where you can't get me off the water.
One of the most overlooked patterns to catch bass during this time of the year is by targeting small backwater areas for bass!
BassFishingHQ is dedicated to teaching people how to catch more and bigger bass. I will go over different bass fishing tips & techniques that will put more fish in the boat or on the shore. Whether you are just starting out or a seasoned tournament angler, my goal is to help you catch more bass.

Speaking to us "non-boaters" along with "boaters" shows what a great guy you are . Much appreciated. Great job.

Thanks for the tip. When getting to the water requires up to several miles of hiking steep terrain, reading the water beforehand is kinda important.

Thank you for including bank anglers. Love the channel. I have implemented so much of what I have learned here and it has really worked. I am having a blast! BTW punching the D-Bomb from the bank has been very productive, and I caught my first three chatter bait fish this week. I learned from saltwater fishing to always look for birds. Thanks again for all of the great information and instruction.

That’s what I do in the summer, my lake has a creek that constantly flow into it. I take my kayak and fish the creek and creek mouth, the bass love the fresh cool water. I use crawfish baits or buzzbaits. Been catching 20+ fish every outing, sizes from 2-5 lb average. Caught a couple 6’s back in June and caught a 7 lb on a buzzbait in the creek mouth 2 weeks ago. Looking forward to the full moon next week. I use bass forecast app and a moon phase app also for getting the best times to fish. It’s extremely accurate 🎣

Last few years I’ve switched to creek fishing during the August/September doldrums when the lakes are dead, and it’s been fabulous. Great fishing, fun wet wading in shorts and old running shoes, and oh yeah- rarely if ever see another angler.

Yet another way to consider things when you’re trying to think of where the fish would be given your current circumstance. Yet another way to better read the body of water we’re fishing!!! Many thanks.

Hey Tyler this was some good stuff I’ve got a tournament coming up what would you think of doing if when you get there you find out the lake level is down 3 to 4 feet. Would you still try to get away from the main lake
