      @@Ihasfinger911 I've been working with our dialogue system, implementing every single voice line, every objective etc. I've gone through and done lighting passes, prop passes, setting up AI patrols, rigging of animations. I've been setting up every scene for our cutscenes, then editing those images, literally making every cutscene from scratch.
      That good enough for you?

    One bit of feedback I have is instead of having a visibility bar tied to the HUD, I think having something similar to Metro or Splinter Cell where there’s a light on your character’s hand that lights up whenever you’re in lighted environments and turns off when you’re in the dark. That way the HUD can be even less cluttered (pretty good job already) and you have something you can see at all times regardless whether the HUD is on or off.

      I actually disagree with this point because when it’s a simple light on and off it makes being detected a very binary thing you’re either visible or not I really like the bar because it’s similar to splinter cell chaos theory maybe a workaround for immersion is a dynamic light bar on the hands compared to the light being in the light or darkness

      @@LMFAO975 Easy fix, just have the light change brightness depending on how visible you are, with it being completely off for totally invisible. Or have it change colour in a gradient from green to red, etc.

      @@darkcognitive This would be the best way to implement it. Maybe have it completely off when in the dark, then it‘d cycle through colors depending on how visible you are OR it’ll simply blink when you’re partially visible and will blink faster the more visible you are until the light is fully on which means you’re fully visible

    For the enemy types, a really cool way to differentiate them could be using voice lines, green guys sounding like half life security guards, yellow/blue guys sounding like military and red guys sounding like combines with scary distorted voices, I don't know if you're planning to give them voices but it would be really cool.

      Yeah, voicelines would be a good option, especially if you're around a corner and can't see the enemies yet, the voice gives context clues as to who you're about to fight.I liked the idea of the colored lights, but if they're gonna do colored lights there would need to be a lore/worldbuilding explanation for why the employers give different soldiers different colors, and why soldiers are lit up like christmas trees to begin with. Too many AAA games do things like that where it's a gameplay decision that feels totally disconnected from the world.

    For the lockpicking system you could maybe have certain doors be keypad locked and have the codes either hidden within the environment such as on whiteboards or monitors, shooting the door open at the risk of attracting enemies, throwing an EMP at it or hacking through the keypad with a small minigame or something along those lines.

    I think the million little lights, especially on the legs, is what really made the "Christmas tree" effect happen. Maybe something like a glow stick dangling from the belt to give that color indication from the front or back. Or keep the visor glow and put a little LED type light on the backpack or near the upper back of the enemy, kinda like 2042's LED colored lights to distinguish friendlies, squad mates, and enemies. My concern with removing the colors and relying solely on different armors is that, especially in the dark environments, it might be difficult for the player to distinguish enemy types and make appropriate decisions, unless the character models are of noticeably different size (ex: juggernaut in Call of Duty).
    Game is looking really cool so far, thanks for all the hard work and these detailed, transparent dev logs.

    Having the lit up visor would be dope on top of the different enemy types. I feel like it would add intensity if you didn't look at it's armor type then it turns around with that intense red visor so you're like OH SHIT. I guess it'd be cool if the lit up stuff was a toggleable thing in settings but dang am I excited for this man!

    I like how you're using science in this. The chemical that locks in the armour when there's impact exists and is used in protective casing and armour. Also, I love the slow-mo feature, but this could also be used in turn with adrenaline charged moments or just collecting a chemical like you're doing - The science part of that would be likened to Time Compression which has a deeper theory surrounding it, but commonly used in explaining "time seeming to slow down" in a high-adrenaline situation. It's something soldiers experience.
    Anyway, you and your team are doing great; loving the direction of this and wishing you all success.

    I think a neat little feature would be a variety in reload animations. You reload regularly when out of combat, you reload more aggressively during combat, and you stumble your reload when you are taking damage or recently took damage.
    Small variations in games make all the difference even if you think people won’t notice.

    All I can say is I am absolutely blown away by the progress this far. The game looks absolutely amazing already on so many levels and it takes key points from games I grew up playing and loved and brings them into this generation and it does it (from what I can see here) RIGHT. Take your time. Follow your hearts, stay passionate and I fully believe this will be one of the greatest "indie" games of all time... I can even see this dominating AAA titles. Keep up the fantastic work!

    I like that you’re toning down the lights on the enemies. I think that will make it much more immersive and less “gamified”. It can verge on goofy if done wrong so it’s cool to see you listening to the community even though you grew fond to the color coding. Keep it up brother. It’s a tough route ahead, and everyone is a critic. Just know at the end of the day you’re doing something that you would play, and that will inevitably be a banger

    adding special missions that require a specific gun would be cool, like there's a large compound and you need to take out a HVT but its too guarded so you use a sniper to locate him and kill him, also if you alert the enemy they would start to come to your sniping location and ambush you. would love to see something like that in the game, keep up the good work.

    Nice video. I think you sound very interested in showcasing the playable space to a Publisher. I look forward to seeing if anything happens there. I think this devlog kind of opened the door to a lot of possibilities that I probably didn't expect back in December after watching the first devlog. Back then the game seemed pretty fleshed out from the outside looking in, but I'm starting to understand just how early this is and just how many things could change in a year.

    suggestions/questions
    swap shoulders? - is ai going to laser beam us when we left hand peak?
    key mapping with modifier combos? on press, release, double tap, key+key?
    difficulty settings? - playthrough set to no hud, no slomo, loose ammo on reload, ect.
    tac reload? - lose bullets in mag but fast animation
    throwable casings/shells to lure ai?
    executions/interrogation of ai?
    different bullet types?
    health system?
    inventory system?
    stash system?
    vendors?
    Creation of a forge type mode to allow the community to create content for the game would be insane.
    I'd also look at all the stalker mods for inspiration as well - nightvision especially

    As long as you and your team keeps your head on straight, you will hit the mark. Publishers will come and go. I'm really enjoying the hard work and look forward to the final game. I wish the indie team I use to work for had the same drive. There was too much pressure from Sony and too many restrictions on creativity. I hope I can be on a team like yours or even finish my own game one day. All in all, thanks for the transparency and most of all, the inspiration @BigfryTV!

    First of all.
    1. the song that you have shown is so refreshing to hear in FPS shooter. Perfectly sets the mood. Looking forward to hear more.
    2. The twitching shot soldiers are awesome. I really like the variety, that it can happen. That its not just like you shoot somebody and they morph into ragdoll instantly. You can possibly make it a mechanic. Where you have to eliminate soldier quickly, or they will be wounded on the ground, twiching, making noise and alerting other units about your location. So you will need to make double taps to stay hidden.

    One thing i really like to see in games is not just weapon customization but loadout and armor customization as well. Such as heavier armor that gives extra armor pips or regenerating armor pips but is loud and visible as hell, or armor that replaces armor pips with reactive camo charges. (ya obviously have to still be quiet otherwise people can just shoot in your general direction)

    Mate there is no rush to release the game, you guys have shown more real game play than The Day Before, it's insane and you guys must be so proud of what you all have achieved. It's jaw dropping dev logs you guys have been doing, you guys are not hiding anything and are just going for goal. I don't care and I'm sure most don't care when it comes put on you are doing these type of Dev logs. Just insane and you have to be pumped knowing what your making looks so good.
    Take you time, it's done when it's done, just keep posting updates like this and ppl will be pumped to play it.. let's goooo well done to you and the all the crew mate..

    Love it mate! I have two suggestions things that are always missed in games like this that I think need to be included!
    1st; A proper quick draw animation. Your main gun should be held with your left and in eye shot while your right hand draws your pistol silently take out a person and/or a light!
    2nd; hiding in plain sight, I hate it when you walk onto a balcony that the enemy has some obscure line of sight of and they some how spot you in the most super human way possible!
    Keep up the good work tho!

    I really like where you are going with this game, one the thing you could add in a progression system where you can upgrade your suit and you gadgets throughout the game.

    I like how you're mixing some arcade shooters elements like the armor system, it'll make the gameplay more forgiving and can help get more people into tac shooters

    You also said you were open to suggestions. When you said something about weapons in near future, i recently found some weapons in irl that might have interesting concepts. Examples: sound weapons, there are resl weapons that are based off sound for non lethal crowd controle. Maybe something like a sound nade? Something that makes a tone and stunnes enemies. In a way similar to marvels sound stun thing from ironman. Maybe also something like the first concept electric weapons? Not full scifi but something like handheld railguns? Just some random ideas

    I loved the mention of in-game slow motion. One of the reasons I loved The Outer Worlds was because of it. A quick burst of slow-mo to deal with a large group of baddies, hit a crit shot, and straight cool factor. Even use a mod that replaced VATS in Fallout with slow-mo. An underrated mechanic in FPS to be sure.

    The shotgun reminds me of my kalashnikov KS12T. Absolutely love that shotgun. 20 round drum really sets her off in real life but she's heavy with all those slugs

    This looks so sick! congrats man. Also, i don't know how much you are familiar with F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon), but i think there is a lot about that game, specialy the gunplay, that you need to check out. The slow mo and futuristic elements of the game can work as inspiration.

    In terms of that lock picking system. It would be a cool Co-Op ability like say it's 4 player each person/s has a unique ability to pass through the levels so for example you're doing a mission there's locked doors that player can go ahead and do the locks whilst being "covered" by the team but then say there's 3 players and no one chose that ability or character then locks aren't existent, anyone could do it or someone randomly gets that ability
