I LOVED listening to Infinity in HS. My girlfriend and I used to listen to the album over and over again while making love 😊 I saw a Journey tribute band years ago, and they sang Patiently. I was so thrilled, I started to weep. The friends I was with saw my emotions and said you ok. I told them that song brought back some precious memories for me, it was a VERY special song. That's the beauty of music, it can take you back to the happier times in our lives when the world was so much simpler.

I think this is their most beautiful song. Just ahead of “ Faithfully” and “ Open Arms”. Neal’s playing is just gorgeous on this song.

I saw Jouney in March 1978 just a month before this performance. They were amazing live. Played 5 encores. And a new band to a lot of us named Van Halen was the opening act.

Journey/Montrose/Van Halen One of the best tours ever. Van Halen's first album came out just after the tour started.
His voice, his smile, his eyes, his hair, everything compliments each other and its just oh so perfect❤❤❤ i wish i could met him at this particular year, 1978

They're all phenomenal musicians and I love all of them and have been a huge fan since 1978. Steve Perry's voice is straight from Heaven and he's one of the best singers of all time. But in all seriousness, the way he's looking at him says a lot, knowing they did well choosing him as their lead singer. Knowing Journey’s reputation of not having a good sound, I bet everyone in the audience was not prepared when they heard Steve open his mouth and sing.

Amazing to hear Steve Perry's pristine, crystaline voice before excessive touring and strain broke it. If he could have preserved it, Journey would have been even greater - later slbums are hard to listen to
This is the most fabulous quality. They were so new as in newly big-time at that point.
