Wei, I was gonna say Jin after their amazing debut in DW 7, but the slow degenerate destruction of the rest of the three Kingdoms as Jin slowly takes over depresses me too much 😂. Also Cao Cao IS the best Character in DW, it's not even close.

I tend to divorce Shu from history from the Shu in ROTK/Dynasty Warriors. In doing so they easily become my favorite kingdom. I'm totally able to eat up the "virtue" and "benevolence" angle with an altruistic hero as if it was an old-school Dragon Quest storyline. The cast members even back in the day with DW3/4/5 always felt like an odd assortment of characters with a wider variety in designs than you'd get out of the other 2 kingdoms too. From Guan Yu and Liu Bei to Wei Yan and even their strategists from Zhuge Liang to Pang Tong. Doesn't hurt that my favorite character in SSX became an honorary Shu character in later games too. They'd also have access to places that made sense for them like the Nanman campaign, and battle scenarios like running through the gate to get surrounded in DW4's Mt. Ding Jun prisoner exchange was really neat at the time.

I would like to think the reason why Tadakatsu is more fitting to be the Lu Bu equivalent in SW and not Keiji is due to their historical achievements
Lu Bu is known as the one man army, " the monster among men , the flying General."
Tedakatsu Honda is the Samurai who surpassed death . The Vanguard Commander, who was so skilled he didn't get a scratch on his armor in his 60-year career while Keiji had the horse Honda had the Famous Tempokiri the spear that cut the wind properly one of Jepan most famous treasures that spear was so good it was left on cliff side and when recovered after 100s of years it was still in good shape which is more famous then Lu Bu halberd
Keiji is cool and strong famous yet historically there was so many warriors stronger then he is , his strength came from his Macho like confidence and bravery yet he didn't become an official Samurai until his late life before he heroically sacrificed himself to let Kenatsugu Naoe escape.
Lu Bu is so strong he can push through any force you throw at him vs. Tedakatsu Honda is so skilled that nothing can defeat him or even get close to him
It's more like an unstoppable force vs. immovable object
Keiji maeda is just cool with a cool horse and cool name, and he is here to have fun kinda a guy

@Jamushu the sengoku period had so many warriors that could rise up to meet the legend of Lu Bu , I was going to mention Toshiie or even Khetsuhie or Sakun Shima
I remember watching the Japanese made movie about the battle of sekigahara and when the enemy was making plans it conduct a direct approach to ieyasu camp it would get rebottled with " are you crazy Tadakatsu will be there for sure "
He felt like a true problem almost gave Lu Bu vibes, with don't chase Lu Bu and avoid Tadakatsu

Tadakatsu Honda makes more sense as the rival of Lu Bu, the entire point of it is the strongest Japanese warrior vs strongest Chinese warrior match up.
Keji was never treated as the Lu Bu of the series but rather a rival for Tadakatsu, just like how Guan Yu was treated as the rival for Lu Bu. Both Guan Yu and Keji are usually depicted as the big "strong" enemy but only below of the level of Tadakatsu and Lu Bu. Usually in the story some characters would give them praise and say how they have the potential to be just like them and its even sort of shown with the VS mode photos where in DW there is a silhouette of Lu Bu fighting Guan Yu and in SW vs mode silhouette of Tadakatsu fighting Keji. They are more of a obstacle for Tadakatsu/Lu Bu to show their strength. Guan Yu getting outmatched by Lu Bu so he has to fight along side Zheng Fei and Liu Bei. But for Keji its getting defeated by Tadakatsu Honda.
So Keji is more of a Guan Yu of the series. They both even have the role of having a special horse and are also when it comes to difficulty stats treated the same in the WO series.
Tadakatsu Honda is pretty much the opposite of Lu Bu, one is honorable the other is dishonorable, one is selfish and only looks for his own benefit while the other is selfless and wants to help others. One finds the strength for him self while the other finds strength for others, one is loyal while the other is treacherous. Ying and Yang in a way which is what makes them have chemistry when interactive with each other.
Edit: One thing i want to add is the "gameplay aspect" both of them are yet again the opposites of each other, Lu bus moveset is that of a ragefull beast going mayhem focusing on overwhelming the opponent while Tadakatsu is beast that looks for openings and strikes as well as more tannky. Lu bu goes for the rage in one direction while Tadakatsu Honda moves around and has more terrain control over his strikes
As for Keji he doesn't really have much any similarities with Lu Bu besides the horse

I don't know why some people don't like earlier iterations of Zhang Jiao in the games, I *LOVE* him! I found his theatrical cartoon villainy personality to be quite refreshing from DW 3 on to DW 5, his voice actors flare for the dramatic with Zhang Jiaos' dialogue and body language was entertaining. The way the devs presented Zhang Jiao reminded me of Jaime Gomez, the Buddhafield cult leader.

my general dislike for Guan Suo and Bao Sanniang comes from the fact that, like most Shu characters added from DW7 onward , they aren't really that important to the story. Some didn't even exist ( like Sou and Sanniang) They take away from characters that are important that should have been added a long time ago. They are just there to have Wei/Jin fight someone other than generics during their 39240 invasions.

My hot take relating to the next video is that Shu's morals are not challenged enough in the games. I get's most likely due to their main shtick being benevolence but it still makes it feel like they don't really have that much struggle which isn't true since it took Shu awhile for them to have a land to call their own. It also ties into the other annoyance I have with Shu and them being treated as the whipping boy a lot of the time when they have some of the most impressive people in their ranks (looking at you three Guan Yu, Zhao Yun and Zhuge Liang).

Bao would've been helped if she was playable in the Shu story mode in her debut, more so since she didn't have a cloned moveset.

While my favorite Kingdom is actually Jin, that's not your question of the day.
As such, as much as i like them better, Wei is the better faction overall for me. It felt the most realistic and not too distorted by a more "Black and White Heroism", that is inaccurate to the History. Like i know that Sun Quan's later Reign and anything Late Wu is a mess KOEI would never get to, and we all know how it went from Shu. But i just love the more morally grey perspective of he Three Kingdoms, and also the philosophical side of things too. It just felt... Honest, and captivating.
As for why i like Jin the most however? Since i only into DW from 7 onwards, and i'm getting into DW with more historical mindset compared to Sengoku Basara, i ended up more interested with how the story actually ends, the ones that are kind of glossed over in the Novel. And so, even if it's not explicitly mentioned, i think the whole story felt like "We had to unite China no matter what obstacles are before us, even if we're treated as the Villains for it" made me even more captivated. Not to mention, the Sima Clan overall is among my favorite DW Characters too, with the addition of Jin managed to make Sima Yi to be a lot more nuanced character other than just "Haha, Obviously Evil Guy with a very famous laugj". And unlike Shu, they wouldn't afraid to have characters' be challenged or their darker sides be shown up, while still being the heroic parts of the Later Three Kingdoms (Unlike Shu where the Benevolence philosophy became a parody in on itself, in less than a good way) Even the fact that the War of Eight Princes and Disaster of Yongjia didn't ruin it for me. Instead, it only made me appreciate the irony more of how the Sima Clan's ideals is completely turned on its head later. One of the most underappreciated period of Chinese History, that's for sure.

  • @Sorain1
    @Sorain1 26 днів тому

Honestly at this point I think that the only way to have enough space for characters to be given proper development? They need to make a 3 part Musou game, one part for each kingdom being the focus. That'd give space for characters to get time to shine. Then the 'extreme legends' equivalent would be bringing them all together and adding Jin to finish things off properly. Bao Sanniang is one of a wealth of characters that could get a better rendition that way.
Edit: Also, I absolutely agree that the high powered mythology of Greek and Norse pantheons isn't the best mix for Orochi. If anything, I think Arthurian myth is more on the same scale as the current cast. It could also serve as a nice test run for a spin off centered on those myths (with a bit of other British isles mythology thrown in for flavor potentially. Cú Chulainn comes to mind.) to give something fresh while not veering too far from what worked in games past.
I think what could fix Liu Shan is a solid late era hypothetical route. Example: What if that story of his father throwing him away for a general was something he took to heart? Picture a Liu Shan who decides he won't let his kingdom suffer for the whims of it's generals, then either tries to properly ally with Wu or outright decides to seize Wu to properly defeat Wei. It's a long move from his RoTK depiction, but that's why it's a hypothetical. Potentially this could have an older model for Liu Shan, with a more vicious move set for the same weapon if they wanted to go all in.

From the ultimate badass Guan Yu to the goofy ass Pang Tong they all had a unique flavor and they definitely felt like the ones with the better motivation to stand up against chaos.
Due to those reason I became so attached to them that even if Koei went dogshit writing on them in the later games they are still my favorite and I always start a new DW game by doing Shu story and I usually max level Guan Yu first !

About the Liu Shan take, this is me just saying. Liu Shan was meant to be incompetent storywise, and I know he gave minimal effort to be somewhat competent ruler of Shu. But it was never enough to keep everything together till Wei invaders knocked at his door.
KOEI wanted him to be likable as much as the other characters. Also, blame the Eunuch Huang Hao. Lol

When I first got into Dynasty Warriors with DW3 Shu was my favorite kingdom because they were being pretty clearly depicted as the good guys - the ample amount of screentime given to Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei's sworn brotherhood went a long way to sell that idea.
But the older I got and more familiar with the history and literature of the Three Kingdoms era I began to realize that Wei had the most interesting campaigns and learned that Cao Cao was a major influence in a lot of the juicy political intrigue between the other warlords. Yeah 100%, it’s what got me thinking about a WO game with Orochi as the main character. It was cool that we got one story for his faction, but it’d be sick if we could get a full game focusing on his journey and rise to power.
Or even perhaps a reboot of the WO series? To rewrite Orochi’s arrival

Alright so which one is the best? Well i have different answers for all of them throughout my years but I always found Shu to be the weakest as they seemed the most one note and in the earlier games were treated as the default good guys while Wu was the middle and Wei the bad guys.
What I appcreciate about the newer games is actually threading that line better that neither was fully right presay in a way. It will be a long comment so stick with me lads.
Character design I will 100% go with Wu and Wei being 2nd. Wu has this nice blend of Functional Clothing with armour and like being fashionable (I mean each Sun Character having something Tiger related on them if its just a small cloth or a whole waist protection) Wei 2nd because they got that efficiency in Armour look, they got that steel and really look like they are out in a war for most characters.
Shu is kind of a blend of both but just not commital to either making them mixed and lose some identity in a way
Kingdom Leaders. If it was just a simple of taking the first one it would have been easy for Wu and Wei but sadly due to what happens I am not huge on Sun Quan (other hot take for the future) and Liu Bei, Shan and Zhuge Liang arent strong enough to compete so Ill say Wei wins due to stronger consistency with Cao Cao and Cao Pi and Finally Sima Yi. (ill ignore jin for this arguments for now)
Characters as a whole: This one is the trickiest because now counting with each characters from each Kingdom having stinkers but also the highest peak.Shu suffer the most. Guan Kids are just not enough fleshed out that it drags the whole kingdom down. Wei having it rough with Xu Zhu but overall got mostly decent to great characters, same with Wu so competition is again between the two and I may go with Wu (yeah i got a small biased) but Wei is veery close really.
With all things Kingdom itself Wei was without doubt the stronges, most self sufficient and was the reason the Three kingdoms began in the first place.
Wu mostly was loyal to the Han to some degree but not blind to its faults plus mostly were caring about their own territories also had the quickest ruler changes in the Three Kingdoms era
Shu also wanted change due to Hans problems and also wished for a brighter future for China.
so personally out of the three I say Wu because they got a lot of positives that hits the spot for me with also the battles they fought.
Tho I can see how some say Wei and sometimes Shu.
    Wei also a strong contender.
Btw with my explaination Wu is the best. I mean look at that swagger

I think the problem lies with Shu's next generation is that they are too derivative of their fathers, both historically and in game. Another problem is that they all died too quickly. Hell, didn't Zhang He get rid of Zhang Bao? They seem like shallow imitations. The only exception funnily enough is Xing Cai, who became her own character due to her position as Liu Chan's wife.
What's sad is that Shu has a solid cast for the post Zhuge Liang era. Ma Dai was a great addition and acted as a perfect counter balance to the hot headed Ma Chao. Xiahou Ba was also a dark horse pick, but they didn't flesh him out. Wang Ping would've been excellent, but they kept him as an NPC. Zhang Yi was also a solid choice. Finally, Liao Hua- at least in ROTK -was kicking since day one and stuck around till the very end.
But instead, they decided to add Guan Yu's children, including two entirely fictional ones. Sad.

Hi Koei Kollection. I think a lot of the hate for Guan Suo is made larger by a combination of three things. A number of characters don't add to the story, are not real in the first place and that last thing is made much more annoying by how their are a lot of important people with impressive records from Shu they could add. I don't hate Guan Suo myself, but he is a very good example for this very annoying way Shu is treated in these games. There are a lot of people in Shu who truly should of been added a while back, with just some being Wang Ping, Zhang Ni, Ma Zhong, Zhang Yi, Li Yan, Liao Hua, Jiang Wen, Fei Yi, Wu Yi, Wu Ben, Huang Quan and a few more. Instead, we keep getting fictional people like Guan Suo, Zhou Cang and Bao Sanniang who also are not used in ways to truly add to the story. While not in my opinion the wrose example here, Guan Suo, I think, shows this issue well, with how the role he has early under his dad and in a few campaigns like the southern campaign already having his brothers and sister, who were real people in the game where they could be used here and even they are not used much.
Edit. The story about Liu Bei tossing Liu Shan to the ground is not historical. That comes from the novel.

The thing that made me hate Zhuge Liang was him intentionally trying to get Wei Yan killed by sending him into bad positions, and Wei Yan just being so much of a chad that he made it out anyway, all because he had convinced himself that Wei Yan couldn't be trusted despite the guy never once giving any reason to be doubted.
Then the book has this bullshit "gotcha" moment where it tries to paint Zhuge Liang as right all along after Wei Yan leads a revolt when Zhuge dies... except even then he was 100% pushed into revolting by Zhuge Liang's manipulations. He wouldn't have done it had Zhuge Liang not driven him to do it! He's a genius for the self-fulfilling prophecy he created! No... he's a psychopath... XD
As for Liu Shan, his character is too much like his book self: a loser NEET nepo-baby who doesn't want to do anything other than play fortnight with Huang Hao. He is one instance where I would like to see them diverge from the book and make his personality completely different. Have him be motivated to fulfill his fathers legacy but wracked by self doubt or something.
It's not as if they don't deviate from the book depictions for other characters. Book Xu Zhu(Chu) is a freaking beast and awesome! And Book Deng Ai is basically late-era Cao Cao, instead of the odd intelligent brute the games make him out to be.

For the English VA for SW 2 they definitely did some characters dirty, and the OG commenter gave some great examples of that. They *RUINED* Keiji's voice in SW 2 and in the first Warriors Orochi, Keiji sounds like a shrill ska surfer in 2 and he sounds like a muppet in the first Orochi game! I didn't much care for Ranmaru's voice acting in either SW 1 nor 2, I knew about Ranmaru in Japanese history during the Sengoku era to some degree, so I expected him to have a feminine voice. I liked Nobunaga's voice in both 1 and 2 but I liked his voice acting in 2 the most, despite what Koei Kollection says I never got that comparison with the voices between Nobunaga and Cao Cao. Maybe because Cao Cao voice acting is more demanding and proud in tone and Nobunaga's is more even toned and calculating.
Fun Fact: The person who does Yuan Shao's voice in DW 5 also does the voice of Leomon in Digimon.

Focusing more on the Three Kingdoms portrayal in media as a whole. I love the Yellow Turban Rebellion, and I hate that they almost always get relegated as a footnote or as a throwaway tutorial enemy whenever they are depicted. I know historically the main rebellion was put down within a few months to a year, with resurgent factions popping up periodically for the next 20 some years. But I think it works as an excellent way of showing off just how bad the situation was within the later Han Dynasty. The corruption and court intrigue, ineffective Governers, over taxation, mismanagement during crisis', it makes you look at the Kingdom of Shu though a different lense. If they had won, they would have suffered from the same issues as the later Han Dynasty because they didn't learn from the mistakes of the past.

  • @AntiSkarabey

Sorry, long one... and not in good english. Double sorry!
In history or games, Wei is the best, and Shu is a worst. Well, Shu and Lu Bu, as they both suffer from - more or less - same problem.
That is, Book and all things what take inspiration from Book (including DW) overhype Shu and Lu Bu like there is no tomorrow... and it is creating dissonance with the actual story we being told. Actually, it is even addressed in one of a comments from video - case of Lu Bu, specifically. If you look at history, Lu Bu is not that impressive, and he doesn't even king of switching sides (that title is rightfully belong to Liu Bei), his war/battle accomplishments are not necessary his own - he ether worked for someone, or provide a reputation of "that guy who end Dong Zhuo" (which, in Book, was entirely a plot of other guy who play'd both Dong Zhuo and Lu Bu for his own agenda). But book praise him like he is greatest warrior of an era, likely to make a pretty scene of three brothers dueling with him, and all that. Game don't have any real way to show us Lu Bu is a real deal, aside from "ho ho in this mission he will ignore your strikes".
Shu is a same. Aside from personal opinions on real Liu Bei's and co characters and morals, for a huge part of a games they run away from someone, betraying others for "benevolence", and then Zhuge Lian came and take all the credit for everything he can. All the while game didn't forget to remind us what Guan Yu is God of War, Zhang Fei is Not Just Drunkard, and whatever knightly nonsense Zhao Yun is supposed to be. Not even mentioning Ma Chao and his justice, from which we know... what he responsible for a death of Wang Yi's family? What a great guy.
I mean, for a most part, we are Told about their coolness, but characters don't have a chance to truly live up for their supposed awesomeness.
PS: Wu is dealing with this too, but even in a Book it feels like they here just for historical accuracy, so i feel like giving Koei some credits for at least trying to give them relevancy (then i see Chibi and feel sad for Zhou Yu).
Wei, who's not "our heroes" for a most part, feel more natural, as they fought hard for their success, and then Sima clan have to do their thing anyway.

13:24 Ayy, das me!😃I'll admit, I haven't exactly gotten to playing Orochi 1 and 3, I do think Orochi doesn't really have the personality to stay the main villain for multiple games, he does have the intimidating presence, but in terms of personality, he doesn't have much staying power, totally fair take on my own take. I actually came up with a solution to make a new villain, have them be another god from Orochi's mythology, or maybe take a Shin Megami Tensei approach, and have just a bunch of demons in general, and have them overthrow the gods, and now Orochi needs to work with the warriors that have beaten him before to stop the demons from destroying everyone's worlds.
Or maybe if you chose the "god from Orochi's mythology taking over everything" route, maybe you could take a page out of LEGO Dimensions book, (Let me finish) and have him try and combine every single reality into one, in search of the perfect world, maybe even getting a ritual to gain something powerful that basically lets him play with everything, everywhere, all at once with a snap of his fingers, and now you need to stop him before everything collapse's in on itself. I like your idea too though, especially if it would be for Orochi Empires.
Anyways, as for the actual question posed, I don't really think there is an answer to, "Which kingdom is the best?" they all have their strengths and weaknesses. (Yes, a lot of these are going to be my opinion but whatever)
Wei has a lot of good story moments, especially with Cao Cao, but they kinda fall off after Fan Castle and Chi Bi. Wu has probably the best cast of characters, but they don't really do much in the grand scheme of things. Shu has probably some of the best movesets, but their writing leaves a lot to be desired. Jin probably has the best story out of the four, (Sima Zhao quickly became one of my favorites after playing Jin's story in DW8) but there's also not much to them currently, and the lack of characters doesn't help. It's really a matter of preference here I think.

No offense but i feel like since you haven't played half of the games as you said about 1 and 3, wouldn't be wrong to base your opinion on it since you don't know the story of the games
And based on your comment here 13:26 I'm assuming you haven't played 4 as well, since the information you said there is wrong, Zues had a motive behind what he was doing, its only at the beginning vague since the plot is trying to make a mystery of what he really wants, he did not do stuff out of fun, not to mention he isn't even the one that brings Orochi back.
I don't think it makes sense to make a statement of the character if you don't know him, that would be like if i was to have a statement that Darth Vader is a bad villian but i haven't watched Episode 4 or 6 but only watched 5.
How does he not have personality ? i mean one of the big things that WO series focuses *is* his personality, he changes a lot during the games as well as effects other characters lives, Wu faction hates him from their hearts, Date follow him since they think he is the one to rule and keep piece, him and Nobunaga show big respect to each other, Keji is his bro, Kotaro follows him because of the chaos he brings, Lu Bu litrealy leaves his wife behind just to fight for him and get stronger in hopes he can be the one to end him. I can keep going on and on but i think you get my point, he effects the characters lives and everyone has different views on him. They ether hate him or love him and the reasons could be out of respect, might, fear, benefit, hatred.
Same goes for him, he has a lot of views over the characters in the series and changes happen during each game.
If anything he is one of the best things about the series, his struggle with his immortality and strength sets up for a interesting story. I have written a comment in this video that you can find, there i just talk about your comment and more about Orochi and his views as a character
As for your ideas, i don't see how they would fit in the Warriors Orochi series. They don't really add anything to Orochi or the general story of the games.
@Soeain1 As for Da Ji while she is an awesome character, she is very simple compare to Orochi. She is more of a pure evil having no regret what she does. Orochi has a whole struggle with having to do bad stuff while he doesn't want to do it, Da ji also has a very simple view towards the characters pretty much not liking anyone expect Orochi and Himiko. Orochi on the other hand has a lot more different interactions with each character, his hate that he has with the mystic realm and his buddy-buddy interactions with Keji and even his rare sarcastic humor with his followers and respect fowords his opponents. Orochi changes the most compare to other characters while Da Ji stays only evil he tries his best not to kill the heroes, even defends them from him self (heck in WO4 its even *litrealy* by fighting him self in flesh).
"Who steers trouble the most?" Orochi. He is the one that made the world, the one that defeated all of the factions one by one, and the one who set up the whole plot for them as the challenge (by ether capturing lords, friends, or simply setting up the entire thing that they have to defeat) as well as the one who summoned the hydra and his clones that they had to deal with.

    • @SirIsaacFortesque
      @SirIsaacFortesque 24 дні тому

@@Hidrozlais Okay, While I will admit I don't have a whole lot of experience with Orochi, and that maybe I should've waited to talk about my opinion on him, there are a few things that I want to say about your arguments though.
First off, I have played 4, (I can even upload video evidence to my channel if you still don't believe me) key word being "played" I never said I beat it, I'm like, halfway or less than halfway through chapter 3. (The newest level I haven't beaten is "The Liberation of Zhao Yun", before any version of Orochi shows up)
Second off, "How does he not have personality ?" That's literally not what I said, what I did say was, "I do think Orochi *doesn't really have the personality to stay the main villain for multiple games,* he does have the intimidating presence, but in terms of personality, he doesn't have much staying power," while yes, that last part is proven a bit wrong by your written comment, A: I still didn't say Orochi doesn't have personality, and B: what you said in that written comment just proved my point even more right, because he eventually becomes a friend of the heroes, and defending them, so my point stands that he just can't be the main villain of the Warriors Orochi games now, because he's basically not a villain anymore. (Heck, he sounds like he should be the main protagonist after Orochi 4)
Thirdly, the thing about my new ideas for Orochi games. I personally don't agree that those wouldn't add anything to the story. For the idea of another god from Orochi's mythology coming to take up the role of villain, you say he was locked up for very long, along with the fact that he hates the mystic realm, why not explore that aspect of him more? just have an interaction like, "Ahh, Orochi, I had almost forgotten about you" and have him get mad at the new villain, which causes the war to destroy everything, or the combining worlds to create perfection plot line, then have Orochi work with the heroes he knows to save existence, heck, if I remember hearing this correctly, the heroes memories of the Orochi games got wiped again after Orochi 4, so they may not even remember him, and he could possibly remember them, which can lead to interesting situations on its own. And if you go with my idea of just a $h!t ton of demons overthrowing the gods, then you could take the same angle I did with the first idea, but instead have Orochi reluctantly work with those mystics he hates, and you could have the heroes basically ask him, "Hey, you seem to have a bit of history with these guys, what happened?".
Overall, while I can agree that I jumped the gun a bit here, (I actually liked the sound of what went on with him in the games, as I thought it was just him being the main villain again and again with basically the same motivation like with Sigma in Mega Man X, but that description did make me more interested in going along with the story of the games. If only my PS2 wasn't on the fritz right now) I did still want to mention those few points were I think you could've done a bit better.

    • @Hidrozlais
      @Hidrozlais 24 дні тому

@@SirIsaacFortesque I do believe that you have played WO4, you don't have to prove it, but again you haven't beaten the game which is my point
you made a very big statement without knowing much about the character, i mean not playing 1 and 3 as well as not beating 4 entirely is strange. If you lack the information about the character how can you tell if he doesn't have the personality to stay villain for the series ?
As for my question "How does he not have personality ?". I should have worded it better im sorry about that, my English is bad so my comment does sound a bit clumsy. What i wanted is, is to answer to your comment which is, : "doesn't really have the personality to stay the main villain for multiple games"
How does what i have written prove you right on that ? if anything it just proves that they *can* always write something and that he does have a personality to stay a villain for the series since every game did change or effect him.
As for him becoming a friend of the heroes, its more complicated than that, he isn't exactly their friend, they more so have respect towards each other (or should i say he has respect for them since all of them have different views on him), he is very much still a demon king effected by his powers so he cant be a good guy even if he wanted to, sure he does defend them from Orochi X however his demonic power kick in and he still wants to battle to end his life. That's the thing, he is unable to be good because of his demonic powers as well as his immortality, he could only momentarily defend them but that doesn't fix his demon problem. Spoiler about WO4, after Orochi X is defeated Orochi still wants his life to be ended so he has a battle with the coalition army. So again its the struggle of Orochi with his power and his immortality that makes him the villain of the series.
As for the thing you asked "why not explore that part of him ?" when it comes to the hate that he has for the mystic realm. It is explored, WO2 and 3 focus on it, we learn who the mystics are and what connection they have. In WO3 Ultimate part of the story they even reveled there was a mystic in the past called Ying Long who broke the divine mirror. The thing is, WO3 makes it so that he is the one that ether fuses with Orochi or becomes Orochi after breaking the it, however it is not explored fullest. Its only up until WO4 again that they only briefly touch apon it by saying Orochi is Ying Long yet as well as saying Orochi contains his souls so it doesn't really give a direct answer (its also something that allowed him to defend the heroes from his Orochi X version). Now this is something that WO4 *should have* focused on (but no they decided to put some random new characters in the story for what ever reason) There is literally a whole plot line they can do with it and explore his character even more, as well explore the timeline before the whole divine mirror accident.
The thing is, i see you are missing a lot of context with Orochi or general with the series, beasacly what you suggested about Orochi working with the heroes and mystics to defeat the villain sort of happened already, its the reason why Orochi tries to help them and defend them all from Orochi X, he even says to them "i made it this far because of you" or something along those lines. He meant he is able to do this good deed and defend them because of all the things they did, you even have Fu Xi talk to Ying Long (sort of). However because of the situation he is in he cant be just good afterword's since of his demonic powers. Now there is ofcors the problem of WO4s bad writing and instead of having Orochi kill Odin he actually just decides to leave that to the heroes which is dumb and out of character, we could have had an amazing ending where we see Orochi chasing down Odin only for Odin to try and escape however he is unable to and is killed by Orochi, an interesting message to the audience "don't mess with something bigger than you or something that you know nothing of"
They just treated this game as fan series so they ended the game with the whole "we have to save the world plot" which was never the focus of the series.
About your ideas, i still don't see how anything of that adds to Orochis character, or even how that would effect warriors (which is also something very important). Why would Orochi be mad at the new villain ? and why would he care if some person forgot about him, as for Orochi working with the heroes doesn't really work(momentarily yes) but having a villain Orochi has to face is more just a walk in the park for him. Maybe if it was a moment type of thing, it worked with Orochi X since he is literally the same person so the 2 of them have an actual challenge. But making another villain would have to take a build up, you cant really expect people to take that new villain seriously if he isn't build up properly. And now isn't really the time to make a new villain especialy with how the story is structured now. They would have to pretty much do a re-boot of the series becouse of the endings of WO4 Ultimate as well as SW and DW doing re-boots which again just gives us more room for Orochis development and his look as the main villain of the series.
As for "demons overthrowing gods" i don't understand what do you mean by this. Demons are part of Orochis army and the gods were introduced in WO4. If i understood you correctly you want some big bad to cause chaos but again what does this add to the series ? Maybe i just didn't understood what you meant
There are many important factors when writing a villain, Orochi is perfect for the role, the thing is the game not only tells us a story from the perspective of the heroes but also from his perspective, in WO2 Orochi has his own story because the game itself is his story. Its these events and happenings that shift and change his character. Other villains don't have anything to add to Orochi or the warriors (best examples are already existing "big" villains that we had; Kyubi, Odin and Hades) they absolutely add nothing (besides plot holes) and are just ether there for sake of being there or are filler. The thing is the story has always been about these warriors changing Orochi as a person hence the name of the series *Warriors Orochi*

Wei Yan remains the most disrespected officer in all DW and his portrayal as a brute with a speech impediment is a deliberate attempt to disguise him. There was no point to it because both of their maxed damage output is the same, a 2 point difference didn't change anything between them! It was adorned with Gold, Silks, and Furs, and it stood a head taller than the rest, but it still could 'fit in' with the rest of them. DW7 dropped the ball hard with the horde designs.
That said, the way leveling horses worked in DW6 was stupid. My dad had a literal notebook of all the specific steps needed and what each Stat had to be to ensure you got the maximum potential out of it. To be fair, it did pay off and he has two Red Hare Kings.

13:26 The information he says about WO4 is wrong, The entire plot of WO4 is Zues doing everything possible to prevent Orochi from coming back, which he saw via his water thing that Odin would try to do.
Also, there really isn't any recurring plot line in any of the 4 games. The first game takes place right after Orochi defeats all warriors however they are given a second chance, and thus the second war starts, in it each faction has a different story to tell, which is either betraying Orochi (since they are forced to fight for him), escaping and building an army, or uniting factions together, etc... The second game focuses on entirely different things, stopping Kiyamori from reviving Orochi, Wu rebuilding their morale strength to fight back, Wei trying to force other factions to fight back since they won't act up, and SW having Oda - Takeda, - Uesugi factions putting aside their differences. The third game is basically one big time travel plotline where they try their best to find a way to make a timeline where they can defeat Orochi X and the hydra he created (as well as to find a source of power that can even kill him). Ultimate story even has a filler villain Kyubi as well as a completely different setting when facing Orochi. The fourth game has Zues trying to stop Odin from reviving Orochi back but ultimately failing and resorting in to Orochi facing his X version of himself. I won't bother talking about the ultimate version of 4 since that story is trash, but i think you get the point.
The only thing that's repeated is the ending of good guys winning, but that's easily fixable. Just end the game with a cliffhanger or just have it end with the bad guy winning (beasacly the WO2 Orochi ending) ez done.
As for "Orochi is boring," idk about that, he is my favorite fictional character. The thing is 15:33 he does change a lot during the games. In WO2 (Orochi story), he starts off with the mentality of "Any who are weak are useless and should be grounded to dust," basically any unworthy foe who can't grant him his wish of ending his life is useless, which makes sense since that's what he has been searching for all of his life, you are beasacly worthless to him since you can't kill him, however, he later changes that mentality because of these humans. Stuff like friendship, importance of family, and opening your feelings to others is what changed him (the messages that each faction is trying to tell us in WO1). Because of that, instead of just killing everyone, he actually starts to like them and even wants them to have a happy ending where all of them would live in peace in his world. However, by doing this, he also robs himself of freedom of eternal piece; he could very much just kill everyone and move to look for other more worthy opponent who can actually give him that but chooses not to, so much so that during the events of WO3 he becomes the god of the destruction wanting to be destroyed and just end everything because of the great toll of depression given to him. Then in WO4 we have Orochi literally facing his inner demons (literally) by defeating that god of the destruction version of himself. Beascly defeating his old mentality since he is acting selflessly by protecting the "weak."
15:36 As for this, he doesn't have a goal of dominance; he just wants piece by piece.
15:42 This is already a thing in WO2 (Orochi story), but I'm guessing you meant you want that again in the future games, tho isn't that what everyone wants? Individual chapters were better when it comes to crafting a story since it gives more potential work.
14:03 As for this i think arguments should be made because i don't really see it. We have so many build-ups for his character, his first appearance that of a mysterious dark lord villain only wanting death but only hinting at his sad backstory, to the second game where we learn more of him personally and his traumatic experience of being locked up for years, to the third game where he is pretty much just bowl of and sadness and finally to the fourth game facing his problems and finally showing happiness so if anything i think repetitive is not a thing for him, since we see so many changes and different perspectives for his character.

More characters seem to sound right in SW 1(minus Okuni and Ranmaru) compared to 2 to the point that if DW 3 was known for goofy voice acting 2 would sit right below it with some of it sounding forced or deadpan. Yukimura and Keiji come to mind and several fans collectively agree that Keiji sounds better in that game compared to 2.

I like shu and I think shu is the best but the community likes wei the best. In my opinion its probably wei, shu than wu and if we are including jin, probably be Wei, Shu, Jin than Wu. Wu is last because lets be honest their kinda shit. After Sun Jian and Sun Ce, Sun Quan isn't even a good leader. A good example of this is when Shu and Wu have an alliance and shu is like ok, will attack han zhong and take all the attention away while you can attack he fei. Shu not only killed Xiahou Yuan, capture Han Zhong and took the main force of Cao Cao while Wu was scared and creating the best scene of Zhang Liao heroics. Alot of people don't like shu because of the ideas of virtue and benevolence because those concepts and ideas are hard to create while wei is all about chaos and fighting. Those ideas is kinda like playing a game about an escort mission vs kill everything in sight, which is easier to do? Obviously the destruction mission thats why wei is so popular. You also should remember how impressive shu built its kingdom literally from the bottom up. I don't think anyone in this age has the balls like LIu Bei has. He literally survived from the right side of china to the left side. The only bad side of shu was literally Liu Shan but eventually in all of the kindgoms, all of them had really shitty kids. Wei, Wu and Jin all suffered from lots of betrayals. Shu only had one betrayal and that was with Wei Yan and the others teaming up with him or vice versa other than that, if you think about the ideas of virtue and benelovence didn't cause shu to die out but was the lack of poor leadership and the unsucessful campaigns. If were including like the romance series, after looking at the character from each faction, i was surprise to see that wei or wu had not alot of the gold special abilities compared to shu.

Hot Take 1: Warriors Orochi 4 did more to flush out most characters than DW8/9 did. If you really pay attention to the events of the characters when they're sharing their epilogues you learn quite a bit more than was presented.
    2 main examples:
Liu Shan being called out for "acting" as a Fool rather than being a Fool so he can't be "blamed" when things go wrong. Also he uses stone seat as a weapon that's hilarious.
Kunoichi: Being seen through as a deeply manipulative person that hides behind her "airhead" persona of sorts. When this was called out it made a lot more click when you realize the difference between the writings.
Hot Take 2: Sima Yi and his wife are a treasure that show you can add a "cheerleader" to the series right, and make it enjoyable. You cannot tell me you do not crack a smile with their bantering.
