Now that Capcom's been shipping collection, hopefully this will light a fire under Konami, Bandai Namco, Team Ninja/Koei Tecmo, and Xbox to bring these classics to a modern audience
We need a Re-release of DARAKU TENSHI: THE FALLEN ANGELS and RAGE OF THE DRAGONS , and we need an ART OF FIGHTING 4 & 5, CAPCOM VS SNK 3, FINAL FIGHT and GAROU 3 & a STREET FIGHTER GAIDEN/LEGENDS/7 , then let that be it for those franchises. They also need to bring back BURIKI ONE and do two sequels for that. Capcom and SNK needs to stop bullshitting and give the fans what they want.
SNK got that Saudi money by a Saudi Prince who genuinely loves SNK. That's why SNK have greenlit a bunch of projects with higher budgets now. A new Art of Fighting game and a Samurai Shodown Action RPG game was confirmed to be being made by SNK.
A dead fighting game series that I would love to see again is the Naruto Clash of Ninja (or Gekitou Ninja Taisen) games on GameCube and Wii. They werent the battle arena games on Playstation consoles, but an tomy and 8ing series that played like Bloody Roar with Naruto inspired mechanics like spending meter to ninja-teleport out of a combo. They were such good and underrated titles, overshadowed by the much prettier Playstation arena fighter cousin.
Bro I played the shit out of Clash of Ninja 2! I could never figure out how to beat the CPU on the highest difficulty because they would just block everything XD.
I agree that Terry and Mai in SF6 might be a sign we're getting MVC instead of CVS. If a new MVC did really well it would obviously make them more inclined to make a new CVS.
DOA, in my opinion, has a better fighting system and plays more fluidly than either Tekken or Virtua Fighter. But I couldn’t buy the last one because it’s just a Japanese perv simulator at this point. If they toned it down to less embarrassing levels it would be a fantastic fighting game. I put tons of hours into DoA2 Ultimate on Xbox. Probably the first truly functional online fighting game.
Morrigan is the ultimate example of a character outliving their franchise. Just because Morrigan, Felicia, Hsien-Ko, Demitri and the like are floating around out there in the ether in other games doesn't mean Darkstalkers is a shoe-in. If Capcom can thread the needle and make a new Darkstalkers that people will actually play, it'll be impressive. Also, kudos to SNK for putting out bangers and steadily revitalizing their catalog of IPs since returning to game dev. Reviving Fatal Fury has been a most personal mission for some of the developers, so being able to finally get it done should be invigorating. They've already confirmed a new Art of Fighting is in the works as well as a Samurai Shodown action RPG, to say nothing of whatever they're doing with Metal Slug. The company has well-documented aspirations of becoming AAA within ten years, so seeing them spread their wings more and more with every year will be interesting to see.
There is nothing stopping konami from just contracting 8ing again like the old days besides apathy. they could have them whip up a collection in a heartbeat.
While on the subject of Killer Instinct, October 24 would mark the series' 30th anniversary so if Microsoft were to tease anything about a new KI, that would be the best time to do it.
@@retroman3960 Instead they'll do live-service now. Free-to-play, pay for every little things else, with 3 types of in-game currencies. And lootboxes. And battlepasses.
Soul Calibur can't be dead man, that game is absolute gold, banco needs to stop being stingy and give the team the budget they deserve, just imagine this game with actual cutscenes like Tekken and MK, new guest characters, new mechanics a big roster and improved graphics 🤤🤤🤤
Bloody Roar needs to come back, It was basically a crazy anime fighter when most 3D games were slower and more grounded. Konami jail is such a mess for its chances.
Remember doesn't matter how dead the game seem to be, there is a chance bunch of cracked latino americans players keep it alive on fighcade (nationality of players may vary per title)
Darkstalkers is the biggest tragedy of them all... look at where Vampire Savior landed where it was easy to pick up and almost impossible to master, this perfect balance between traditional 2D fighters and Anime fighters that would appeal to just about anyone, amazing character designs that are some of the best in t he history of the genre, phenomenal sprite animations that are STILL some of the best and most creative examples to this day, a fun and easily understandable theme that makes it stand out and bypasses all cultural and language barriers.... you can't tell me a modern version of this wouldn't sell?! I want to scream every time I think about it. You re-release the same game over and over (ensuring everyone who knows about it has already bought it), while at the same time doing NOTHING to advertise it to people who aren't familiar with the series, and then use your poor decision making as justification on why it wouldn't work after you've done everything humanly possible to kill it. I mean, Christ, Nintendo is over here taking notes on how to kill a competitive scene and it's STILL going strong. I'm going to go cry now.
If Darkstalkers did return, I hope that they could find a way to integrate Red Earth/Warzard into the series. The characters just mesh well together and well could potentially get a game mode similar to Red Earth's gameplay. Though Darkstalkers along with Red Earth would probably have to be rebooted storywise for the two work.
Timming is something essential for franchises. Akuma in TK7 was a genius move from Namco. Made people excited and kinda "forgive" SFXTK in a way. Not a fighting game, but one of my favorite franchises its a rythym game for PS1, Bust a Groove. Characters from it also look likes FG Characters. But it lost interest by people really fast, again timming. And now a day with soo many good and more famous rythym games, a comeback is almost impossible. Soo its really important to help those collection for old games. Helps to keep it the legacy avaiable, since those ips are closed to their past consoles. Great video btw! :)
With the case of the Bloody Roar series, during the pandemic, there was actually a re-dub project for Bloody Roar 2 performed (with consent from Konami) by Casey Mongillo, Kira Buckland, and a few others voice actors.
That's one good thing about Konami getting into Pachinko I guess... They're more easy going about they're back catalogue outside of Castlevania and Metal Gear.
Great video! This was a great collection of all dormant fighting game series that were once popular. I can't think of one missing. The most surprising ones to me were honestly the games that came out within the last decade that are considered dead. It feels weird to think of Soulcalibur or KI as dead titles, but yeah, it's been 6 to 10 years. Usually that's when we see new titles take over, or at least continuing DLC when looking at games like Skullgirls. Darkstalkers and MvC are games Capcom likes to dangle the carrot in front of us for making new titles, but I'll take the bait every time. Darkstalkers are not dead and MvC will return!
Everybody knows Star Wars Masters of Teras Kasi needs a revival! But on the real it’s actually tragic most of these entries won’t be seen for a while now. DOA mostly bums me out tho, Hayabusa was my first main in any fighting game and my fav video game character of all time. Hopefully we’ll see him again soon
DoA was a game of firsts for me as well, it was the first fighting game I learned to consistently 1CC and the first one I did every combo trial for. I main Zack and Lisa.
Blazblue Central Fiction, the final main Blazblue title cause a lot of controversy because it didn't get an english dub, didn't have playable unlimited characters & didn't even get an "Extend" version like Continuum Shift & Chronophantasma did.
Heres hoping that most of the fighting game series in this video manage to comeback at some point. I would personally love for Bloody Roar, DOA, Killer Instinct and the many Capcom/SNK fighting games to somehow comeback from the dead.
In my opinion, DoA needs to embrace its silliness (yes, THAT silliness). I know it would probably cause issues for advertising and main stage tournaments, but come on... that series lived and died on sexy costumes and ridiculous physics, and DoA6 tried so hard to distance itself from that to make it more marketable. I don't understand why we can have MK on main stages with characters ripping out organs and goring everyone to death, but the minute R. Mika slaps her butt it becomes a problem. -_- I really think there's a space for DoA as a semi-lewd, but technically solid fighter, and these major sponsors have to grow up and let that be part of the community as well. Also, I'm sure there's talk at Arcsys to give Blazblue the GGST treatment. If I were to venture a guess, I'd say it's in some sort of pre-production right now, and they'll announce it in the next couple years.
Yeah, I personally thought DOA stood out with it's doll-like visuals. DOA 3 is why I asked for an Xbox for Christmas (that and Jet Set Radio Future enthralled me for years). DOA 5 and 6 felt....too real for me. I think BlazBlue could be Strive-ified, but it's *the* anime fighter to me. They proved they can still make insanely crisp sprites with the new characters in BBTAG so I hope they do it again.
DoA should simply combine the fighting game and the beach volleyball game. Add a few more activities, like bowling, dancing, tag team, three-way battle / dramatic battle, battle royale, etc. Focus the story less into bumbling schoolgirls kawaii adventure, but lean more seriously into the ninja lore, with a menacing world-ending villain arc. Make it a real high-stake story with over-the-top characters that just happened to dress sexily for no reason, instead of everyday story about cute ordinary girls that dress sexily also for no reason. The first is fan-service, the latter is just perverted. Two totally different things. Add silly gimmicks too choose, like low gravity, underwater stage, anything really. Just make it the most fun, dress-up dolls sport/action/fighting amusement park and laugh all the way to the bank with the cosmetics microtransactions.
@@davidsentanu7836 Thing is there already was huge parts of Ninja Lore with DoA the boss of the second game was a Tengu for pete's sake heck there's even another Tengu that's playable in later editions of 5 and 6. Even with the more sci-fi stuff with Alpha the ninja lore never went away and still played a significant role in the story.
I agree. I feel like it needs a soft reboot. The old Dead or Alives like part 2 Hardcore and 3 to this day are still the best looking fighting games to me outside Virtua Fighter.
@@GodOfOrphans True. Ninjas are cool. They fight all the time. They flip out and kill people. DoA needs to lean more into the ninja lore to even differentiate it from Tekken. As can we see, the more Tekken focus on the devil gene lore the more popular it is. Fighting tournaments are too 90s. Most people don't care about martial arts anymore, but ninjas are still cool. More ninjas! Less schoolgirls!
I'm a big Soul Calibur fan, and I've been playing them since I was a young kid. It's so sad to see my favorite fighting game series drop into obscurity.
3:33 Wanna make a slight correction. Soulcalibur II is the best-selling entry in the franchise. The director stated in an interview for III's demo/beta/E3 build that II sold 4m copies. The Japanese Wikipedia page for II leads to the page that featured the E3 2005 interview that had Yotoriyama (longtime series director and producer) state this. This 4m sales figure was stated way before HD Online was made, so II's total sales numbers should be even higher. As for IV, we so far only know that 2.32m copies were sold for the game. It still makes it one of the best-selling games of the franchise, though, as I believe VI only sold 2m copies. This puts the games total sales ranking as follows: II > IV > VI > V > III > I > Edge > Legends As for whether the series is dead or not, I think it's just taking a break. Bamco's approval process for games is annoying, and Tekken only really got where it was due to Harada having to skirt the rules at times (based on his interview that he had that you mentioned in the video). It'll probably take a while though as Bamco takes forever to approve stuff (as their management sucks).
Ahh... Bloody Roar, my all time favorite fighter. Still got all six of them and even got a Japanize version of the first mostly for the box art. Ya, there was a sixth, most seem to forget that there was a version made for the Xbox, though much like Primal Fury on the Gamecube, it was another redo of 3, just with yet more in it. I just wish some one would work on the idea of were transformations in a fighter again. Not like the concept is a Bloody Roar only thing.
Bloody Roar 2 was one of the few games I was good enough at to talk trash to my friends! With Gado or Bakuryu Id win like 95 out of a hundred times! I got my ass kicked hard in most fighting games but for some reason I was really good at BR2!

I'm on the same boat, I wasn't thinking Capcom would remember stuff like Power Stone, Rival Schools & Star Gladiator but with Fighting Collection 2 coming out next year, there's hope to maybe give us a new Darkstalkers now that SF6 is a success especially since that team cares about fighting games & they can also be the ones to make that 3rd Rival Schools game which would be a bit bittersweet since Itsuno wouldn't be the one to make it but I do believe the SF6 team can be the ones to make a new Rival Schools since they were the same people that gave us Akira in SFV if I'm not mistaken
Yoshinori Ono cared about fighting games, was the guy basically responsible for SF's return as a Capcom flagship and a new Darkstalkers was his personal passion project alongside SF4 but Capcom didn't think the interest was there after the collection's failure. Remember when Ono teased a DarkStalkers4? When a collection comes out, it's used as a gauge as to whether a new one would be successful and funds it. (think MvC collection now = MvC4?) There was a moment at an EVO where Ono had people hold up dollar bills about it. Capcom USA had a design contest afterwards, and my submission was a female gorgon dressed as an office lady, and her snake head tied into a ponytail which could open for super moves, etc. Maybe someday.

With the release of a new Virtua Fighter (6?), and not even a thought by Capcom to make a brand new, true sequel for Darkstalkers, and with no other non Darkstalker characters to keep it authentic, is truly a crime. My UA-cam channel can use a fresh upgrade.
One series you haven't commented on was Eternal Champions: Sega USA's Genesis and Sega CD fighter that was killed by Sega Japan. Another casualty of the Sega Civil War
Bloody roar was so cool. It was like the closest thing to a DBZ game where you can go super Saiyan. Fighting games where you can change forms, and be knocked out of those forms to a less powerful state..... They need to make a comeback
Soul Calibur was one of the first fighting games I grew up with. With 3 being my first of the series, since I had a PS2 growing up. My main 5 were Siegfried/Nightmare, Sophitia, Kilik, Mitsurgi, & Xianghua.
Franchises I want to see return that you spoke about: 1. B L O O D Y R O A R 2. Power Stone (or at least make a capcom all stars game inspired by power stone) 3. Soul Calibur 4. Marvel baybee As for Red Earth, I'd make it part of the Darkstalkkers universe and have Tessa be a character if a new Darkstalkers were ever to be made. I don't want to see a new Dissidia but I would die for a 3v3 anime tag fighter with the Final Fantasy franchise.
I would agree that DOA is pretty much dead if it weren't for the fact that the company is more focused on turning the girls into and to quote my friend here " Virtual girls that people spend vast amounts of money on for costumes" then making a DOA7. I mean really 5 had that much money for DLC costumes and then 6 made it even worse with even more scummy decisions on top of them focusing more on extreme beach volleyball 3 where they had a whole bunch of new female characters that I'm pretty sure everyone forgot about and even more dirty costumes. Now I honestly think that all the girls do from the series is just go on that island and just chill for the next several years because they're not getting any work and Kasumi is currently being a gravuare model lol. But man it does always suck when there's a fighting game franchise that you want to see come back only for certain things to come by and say nope that's not going to happen.
Could you imagine a reboot of Brutal: Paws of Fury. I remember seeing ads in my comic books only to get disappointed with a sub par gameplay. The characters were so cool though lol.
I was really happy to see that Power Stone was mentioned. Power Stone 2 doesn't get the love that it deserves. I have a lot of fond memories of this game. I put a few friends on to this game back in the day. This was a gem and the mechanics were fun.
One series many wish for a comeback is Injustice. Where IJ2's story left off there's quite a potential for Injustice 3. But with Netherrealm busy with Mortal Kombat it might take a while if there will be any news regarding next Injustice game.
Thanks because these are some of my favorite titles in gaming and wish that they'd get more love and not be dead anymore... Soon hopefully or whenever that is of course.
What about PlayStation Allstar Battle Royale? That was a fighting game that used a lot of PlayStation characters such as Kratos, Sly Cooper, Racthet and Clank, Jak and Daxter and Nathan Drake. There were also leaks of Dart from Legend of Dragoon being a DLC character but that was scrapped because the game wasn’t doing too well. I brought up PlayStation Allstar Battle Royale to a friend in college and he acted like the game never existed and stated that there was only Super Smash Bros. It’s a damn shame that the game never got any sequels because there were so many other PlayStation characters for Sony to use like Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima, Raziel and Kain from Legacy of Kain, Joker from Persona 5, the characters from White Knight Chronicles, Rose and the other dragoons from Legend of Dragoon, the characters from Ni No Kuni 1 and 2, Sora, Riku, Roxas and Aqua from Kingdom Hearts and Jaster and his gang from Rogue Galaxy.
Darkstalkers is my favorite Capcom fighting game IP. I would love to see a new release, but I would only be really interested if they used hand drawn sprites, which seems highly unlikely to happen. That coupled with the fact that they don’t even have the data to support their confidence in releasing a new game in general means I’m not keeping my hopes up about it coming back.
Especially when you look at the style of the vampire savior versions of darkstalkers, and compare to things like guilty gear, they could EASILY update the systems to something with a similar feel (use the special gauge for a percentage pushblock instead of mashing! build in more juggles and natural links but avoid super long combos! easy!), start with the entire old cast an build a new generation off of there (how much does Leo feel like a new vampire hunter two generations down the line? lots of easy examples of concepts). People would go nuts.
Soulcalibur could be great if they gave it the same kind of time and attention as Tekken. It needs to go back to having great singke player content and modes. Chronicles Of The Sword is still one of my favourite extra modes in any fighting game.
This video is good at explaining what happened to each series. I didn't know that the create lead left in the case of Soul Calibur and Blazblue. As for the Capcom games, I will say they should do the Capcom All Stars idea another shot. A 2v2 or 3v3 fighter with all IPs. We got CFE which everyone hate, but I see it as a guilty pleasure on what could have been. As for DOA, that part hurt me. I personally have all 6 games. Yes, all 6. Plus Dimensions on my 3DS. Still annoyed that Koei fumble the bag with 6 and focused too much on reselling and costume season passes. 😢 I want another DOA game personally.
I think the issue with darkstalkers is Capcom is possibly not willing to pay for animating the game. DS has a lot of insane animations that's possibly too difficult to translate into 3D, I think ArcSys is the only company who could possibly pull it off.
Particularly, the 3D fighter talk spoke to me a lot as I've primarily played Soul Calibur for a looooooooooong while. I wish it had more love within Bamco (the pandemic cancelling its world tour and a host of other plans hurt that game a lot, I feel. But not enough to make it look like it didn't sell). That also said, the start of the video reminded me of being on the receiving end of "yo why you still playing dead games tho" only for the guy talking like that also witness his favorite fighter lose support too.
I'll echo the sentiment for Pocket Fighter being nice to see return. A very cute and fun game that can have a limited budget and so on, just so long as they show the care of the first and make it really enjoyable to play.
Capcom fighting collection 2 is happening I hope you saw that its happening and its gonna be super hype! Also happy we got MVC collection as well and I hope to GOD we get a killer instinct collection as well! Other collections I want are Dead or Alive, Soul Calibur, Tekken and Guilty Gear!
I think the guest characters for Soul Calibur 7 would be Joker from Persona 5 Sly Cooper Raziel or Kain from Legacy of Kain Alphen from Tales of Arise Velvet from Tales of Berseria Sir Dan from Medievil Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima
Soulcalibur is in the same boat as darkstalkers where the franchise is popular and iconic but its only good enough for merch. Many companies usually only focus on one fighting game nowadays with collections and rereleases (or in guilty geard xrds case netcode updates) to keep older games alive.
Soulcalibur dead? Never! The soul still burns and the legend will never die!

@@ZoddGuts is it a remake/re-release of that one Samurai Shodown RPG that was on the Neo-Geo CD ages ago, or is it a totally new one?
I wouldn't say SoulCalibur is dead, more like dormant, just like what happened to Soul Edge in the 3rd title's story.
playing as Yoda was one of my favorite memories
The irony: Dead or Alive felt so alive back in the days but now its completely dead. Dead or Alive went from alive to dead
Tell me about it
DOA, in my opinion, has a better fighting system and plays more fluidly than either Tekken or Virtua Fighter.
Bloody Roar was developed by 8ing, so development isn’t as much of an issue as interest from Konami
There is nothing stopping konami from just contracting 8ing again like the old days besides apathy. they could have them whip up a collection in a heartbeat.
@@majortom331 Right? Konami barely cares about Contra and Castlevania, Bloody Roar has no chance.
@@wolfman210 Konami recently released a haunted castle remake with Castlevania ds collection.
While on the subject of Killer Instinct, October 24 would mark the series' 30th anniversary so if Microsoft were to tease anything about a new KI, that would be the best time to do it.

Fighters Destiny on N64 was highly overlooked back in the day. Truly a Unique Gem

But it's banco. They never do anything for us... Speaking as a Digimon fan
Darkstalkers is still one of my favorite fighting games thanks to Morrigan because she's iconic!
Gotcha Force mentioned! The game of my childhood, I loved it so much
Bloody Roar needs to come back, It was basically a crazy anime fighter when most 3D games were slower and more grounded. Konami jail is such a mess for its chances.
I know right. I would be okay with good remasters. I don't think they have the talent to make new ones at the moment.
Remember doesn't matter how dead the game seem to be, there is a chance bunch of cracked latino americans players keep it alive on fighcade (nationality of players may vary per title)
Don't forget about the East too! Man, they're good...
@@NeoZiggy92 as I said players' nationality may vary per game.
so true hahahah we just love our fighting games
Of all the companies that could have bought Hudson's IPs (including Bloody Roar), it's a damn shame that f*ckin' Konami was the one that got them.
Im just amazed someone remembered Battle Arena Toshinden.
It's on the mini PS1 classic
I remember that! Did that ever release?
@baberuthless Yes.
That's one good thing about Konami getting into Pachinko I guess...
They're more easy going about they're back catalogue outside of Castlevania and Metal Gear.
Yea I got the rom recently and its great work. If thats not fan dedication then I dont know what is.
You're joking, but an actually good Star Wars fighting game would be a cool idea.
Plus dark ear mobile which continues the main series sorta
Heres hoping that most of the fighting game series in this video manage to comeback at some point. I would personally love for Bloody Roar, DOA, Killer Instinct and the many Capcom/SNK fighting games to somehow comeback from the dead.
You have my greatest gratitude for including both Bloody Roar and Dissidia Final Fantasy
As soon as the CvS music started, i was looking for the hidden Kaiser beer ad, its at 0:16
I'm a big Soul Calibur fan, and I've been playing them since I was a young kid. It's so sad to see my favorite fighting game series drop into obscurity.
Indeed. 30 now, started with SC2 when I was about 9, it was the PS2 version since I was already a Tekken kid.
Virtua fighter soul calibur and darkstalkers is especially sad
This puts the games total sales ranking as follows:
II > IV > VI > V > III > I > Edge > Legends
As for whether the series is dead or not, I think it's just taking a break. Bamco's approval process for games is annoying, and Tekken only really got where it was due to Harada having to skirt the rules at times (based on his interview that he had that you mentioned in the video). It'll probably take a while though as Bamco takes forever to approve stuff (as their management sucks).
I need a drink to make this less painful.

If he couldn't make it happen I don't think it ever will.
@@wolfman210 Idk this collection with a majority of it being old IPs that Capcom themselves said they wanted to bring back gives me some hope things will change even if I might be hopelessly naive & have a lot of wishful thinking
@@videogamerzero1schannel As a fan of both DS and SC I'd love to have my pessimism proven wrong but I think the Industry has been "Hollywooded" too much for less mainstream genres like fighters to have a chance in the eyes of the giants like Bamco and Capcom if they aren't proven pop culture icons like Street Fighter, Tekken, Nintendo and Mortal Kombat.
Why put money into DarkStalkers or Soul Calibur when a new Resident Evil or Dragon Ball game would make more money?
@@wolfman210 Perhaps you're right but I believe things might be different this time with Capcom even if I might be naive into believing things can change now
Remember when Ono teased a DarkStalkers4? When a collection comes out, it's used as a gauge as to whether a new one would be successful and funds it. (think MvC collection now = MvC4?) There was a moment at an EVO where Ono had people hold up dollar bills about it. Capcom USA had a design contest afterwards, and my submission was a female gorgon dressed as an office lady, and her snake head tied into a ponytail which could open for super moves, etc. Maybe someday.
And that trailer they showed at comic con? That was insane and they just pretended it was for the collection the whole time 🤷♀️

My Soul still burns for the tales of Souls and Sword…Eternally Retold.
With the release of a new Virtua Fighter (6?), and not even a thought by Capcom to make a brand new, true sequel for Darkstalkers, and with no other non Darkstalker characters to keep it authentic, is truly a crime. My UA-cam channel can use a fresh upgrade.
I hope it will happen someday but year by year I keep losing hope. I’d love capcom to outsource the game ideally but we’ll see
I miss Bloody Roar. That and Tekken 3 were my introductions to fighting games. I’d say Marvel Nemesis too.
Soul Calibur 7 is inevitable. Also holy hot diggedy damn, I did not expect a Gotcha Force reference
Rival schools was gold! I remember me and my buddies playing that for hours on the PS1 back when I was in the 6th grade 😢😢😢
One series you haven't commented on was Eternal Champions: Sega USA's Genesis and Sega CD fighter that was killed by Sega Japan. Another casualty of the Sega Civil War
Battle Arena Toshinden & Bloody Roar are main games I’d love to see make a comeback!
Fighting vipers actually did get a 7th gen digital port to 360 and I think PS3 as well and that was well before it was playable in Yakuza
Fighting games forever! I’d love to see alot of these come back. The soul still burns

1. B L O O D Y R O A R
2. Power Stone (or at least make a capcom all stars game inspired by power stone)
3. Soul Calibur
4. Marvel baybee
As for Red Earth, I'd make it part of the Darkstalkkers universe and have Tessa be a character if a new Darkstalkers were ever to be made.
The team was scrapped and the main man jumped ship to Tekken.
The writing’s on the wall at this point.

I wonder if Kite Man or Spoiler will be the new characters in Injustice 3.

Thanks because these are some of my favorite titles in gaming and wish that they'd get more love and not be dead anymore... Soon hopefully or whenever that is of course.
BAT needs to come back along with Clayfighters.
18:10 ...well damn...
Ey another excellent video! With all these collections coming up I have hope for some of these series coming back ❤
SOULCALIBUR is dormant for now not dead.
Thank God for emulation and what not, I love revisiting old fighting games
Darkstalkers is my favorite Capcom fighting game IP. I would love to see a new release, but I would only be really interested if they used hand drawn sprites, which seems highly unlikely to happen. That coupled with the fact that they don’t even have the data to support their confidence in releasing a new game in general means I’m not keeping my hopes up about it coming back.
I used to absolute love Fighters Destiny back in the day who remembers that what a classic that was
Soul Calibur on The Dreamcast back in 00' was my all time fave game
Gotcha force is criminally underrated. I would play that game into the early hours of the morning
The soul still burns ! A tale of souls and swords, eternally retold !

I would love to see the soul cailber series come back i still love using its character creator
I love soul caliber. I would buy Soul Caliber 7 and would hope their guest characters would be master shredder and splinter from TMNT
I think the guest characters for Soul Calibur 7 would be
Joker from Persona 5
Sly Cooper
Raziel or Kain from Legacy of Kain
Alphen from Tales of Arise
Velvet from Tales of Berseria
Sir Dan from Medievil
Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima
Soulcalibur is in the same boat as darkstalkers where the franchise is popular and iconic but its only good enough for merch. Many companies usually only focus on one fighting game nowadays with collections and rereleases (or in guilty geard xrds case netcode updates) to keep older games alive.
It's hard being a Last Bronx player...that game hasn't had any port re-release since 2006, which was exclusive to Japan.
