*WHAT IS HAPPENING?!* This video has _ BLOWN UP_ 😭 * HELLO* to all the new AllyCats! Please * Subscribe* and stick around for more Basics videos like this! ❤❤❤
That's very useful.yes I'm all for minimalist. I've tried using 2 types of concealer. Do you let things dry in between the layers? My only concern is related to crepyness which can show up more. Also some concealers are Matt and some have glow and getting it to match skin is tricky. Then I apply setting powder which ? Works.
@@JR-qv4ro I think cream concealers work best if you’ve noticed crepey skin in the past from other concealers. The cream will offer some hydration. You can then make it more skin-like by setting it lightly with powder. I like RCMA No Color Powder or Laura Mercier Secret Brightening powder
The best part is that you didn't have to do anything to the rest of your face. I never wear makeup at all and I have really bad dark under eye circles and this has been the video I've been looking for forever. Thank you sooooo much! ❤️✌️
I have this exact thing! I call it not a 'dark circle' but a 'purple triangle'. it's so different from other types of 'dark circles'. like, some people have hyperpigmentation but this is like thin skin and you can see the blood underneath, it's totally different.
The hardest part of this I think is knowing when and being able to stop applying. I’ve been dealing with dark circles since my teens and I’m so used to piling on layer after layer and never being satisfied with how it looks. Heavy coverage is almost like a security blanket for me. I don’t feel confident going out unless I’ve applied at least three layers by the end of my makeup routine. 😂
This may be the only video where the technique actually shows a strong understanding of 3d modeling. Everyone who blankets the whole area in concealer...I just don't understand. You're technique is flawless and very skillful. Thanks so much for posting this. It finely made it click for me as someone very new to makeup
I also have dark under eye circles with noticeable eye troughs. I just tried this technique and as someone who has been using under eye concealer for a decade, this probably is the best technique out there.
Holy cow… talk about easy. I’m 57 and could NOT figure out the color corrector/concealer thing without using more product. You are right… the products you already have will work if you have the right technique and tool! TYSVM!!!!
I tried your technique this morning, and it definitely improved my under eye. I rarely wear make-up but have been playing with it more, and using concealer definitely would get in my creases and throughout the day would just not look good. Now in my 30s I want an easy, natural look and this helped a lot! Thank you!
I absolutely love this video! Every time I’ve tried the “tricks” from the Instagram stars, I end up looking fake and the circles still remain. Your tops helped me finally get rid of the circles while being able to keep my own face. Thanks for making this. ❤
Hi..from the UK 😊! Just to say a HUGE thankyou for the advice! I tried this for the first time today and it’s AMAZING! I’m now a subscriber and look forward to checking out future videos! Congratulations on the success of this it’s much deserved 😘😘
Ally, OMG!!! I am going to try this today. I have STRUGGLED for close to 40, yes 40 years with this issue. I am 53. IHATE this part of my face. I will keep you updated. THANK YOU
Hun, this video, all your dedication and kindness, is LIFE CHANGING. I feel so bad and insecure about my face just because of my prominent and ugly dark circles that I feel like I always been not graceful or pretty ar all, no one single time, because of them and the fact that I could ever correct them... BUT NOW I CAN. Omg thank you so much, sis. Sending you huggies and a forehead kisses for all the times u where asked something rude ❤
So good to see a mua who has the same sunken under eyes, so frustrating, I've had them since my early 20s, I tried concealing but only made them worse! I'll definitely find myself the right concealer for the dark parts of my circles, thank you!
How am I just finding this video now?? 30 years of struggling with dark circles, a prominent orbital bone and undereye hollows., not to mention all the comments that I get that look sick. I couldn't figure out why concealer just didn't look right (especially the triangle technique!) 😆Now I know and am so excited to try this. Your positive energy just shines and I'll definitely be watching your other videos!
You are brilliant. Wy does no one talk about this!!! These are techniques for receding and highlighting that my mom uses (professional oil painter). So it makes sense that this would work.
I believe the correct term for the dark circles is called tear troughs. I have them as well. It's tricky to place the product properly or it will exacerbate the fat pad under the eye. Can't get any corrector or concealer above the discolored area. Great informative video!
I cannot wait to try this! I'm older, okay old 🙃, but I've been really sick, on prednisone (steroids) for a long time. I gained a LOT of puffiness in my face which creates very large hollow places under my eyes, just above the area where the fat starts. I've virtually given up on makeup which is sad because I love makeup, because of this. This sounds pretty easy, and it sure worked on you! You are way younger than me, but I'm thinking the technique should still work for me. Thank you!
First of all, you have the cutest personality. You are like the relatable girl next door and I love it! New Allycat here! Thanks for sharing. I have your exact issue and I can't wait to try out your technique.
Finally! A video that addresses the same exact problem I have without using a ton of product or a full face of makeup! Its so funny what she says as well, I refer to them as Zombie eyes and people are always asking me if I'm sick or got punched in the eye, so annoying
New subscriber here. Thank you for this video. I’m 53 and have never been able to address this problem correctly. I love the products you’ve used because they are affordable and cruelty free. Looking forward to more of your videos. 😁
Thank you Alyssa! I have terribly dark circles that I have spent thousands on concealers to eradicate them, all to no avail. I can’t wait to apply my makeup tomorrow just to try out your technique. Thanks again x
New alley cat here 😊 loved your video and believe I have finally found the way to cover my dark circles AND hollows. Plus, you're adorable and my son would probably really like you!
I'm so eager to try this technique. I'm 36 yo and I have those tear grooves since my childhood, as you said it's my sunken eye bone/full cheekbones that are emphasising my undereyes, no matter if I'm tired or slept well, it's the same. I need to try this. I also found that lately I need to use far less foundation/concealer/powder than I used to do bc my skin starts to be drier and there are some fine lines and it was psychologically so weird to use myself to wear a tiny dot of concealer, a CC cream and almost no powder bc my skin won't handle more now lol. I tried to use a line of concealer just above my grooves before, but the results weren't really life-changing. I'll try it again, thx !
Looks great. Can't wait to try this. My dark circles are way worse than yours (I'm older so the skin is thinner). I love the way makeup isn't caked on to cover up (I tried that and it looked great for 2 hours and then horrible after that...but, I felt so much less zombie-like going out!). It's a difficult problem to remedy, that's so sure. Thanks so much!
Omggggg!!! I have have been looking for something like this! I am 48 and have been looking for something like this I have the same issue as you!!! LIFE CHANGING!!!!!
Can't love this enough! I dont wear foundation or heavy make up, I only use concealer under my eyes. This tutorial is awesome! Thank you for sharing. It's so nice to see a perfect technique like this without having to use heaps of products and full on face make up.
I’m new to your channel and I’m so glad I found you, you are so pretty I love your pink hair 🫶🏼 and I’m definitely gonna try this, my eye circles are exactly like yours, I now don’t feel so alone about it, thank you, MEOW 🥰
this was so helpful! I have deep trenches under my eyes and every concealer I tried looked terrible - BECAUSE I was using too much -this technique was mind blowing! Thanks!
Thank you for sharing so helpful I don’t want to spend on cosmetic so this will help! ❤ forget those haters that criticize with out knowing. I fell they should never ask any type of question like that.
❤❤❤❤thank you finally. yes bending head forward showing the sunken circle. Xcellant. first time. It is perfectly. applied and the circles are gone. Omg it really is a gamechanger technique. Circles. At 66. eyes look. Tired., cant wait to try it. Damp sponge is a great tool. easier. To apply flawless airbrush. finish. Look. Less is more. Is au natural. Very cool❤
Have you ever considered eye filler because of your under eyes? I sure have 😅 but this quick technique has changed that for me (and it's WAY less expensive haha!)
Filler builds up and you end up looking horrible later, especially when you start it at a young age -when you don't actually need it- because it's trendy. Edit:to add that you're beautiful and your video was very helpful. Thank you so much!!
I'm so glad you didn't go for filler. There have been so many videos the last couple of years by plastic surgeons saying "this is why under eye filler doesn't work" (TLDR: they had eye anatomy wrong when they started doing the fillers) and showing horror stories of people going temporarily blind because the filler moved and messed with their optic nerve.
OMG!!!!! I 49 and have looked for this answer since I started wearing make-up. I have thecexact same under eye circles and tones..... FINALLY a correction that will work 🥰 soooo happy Que HAPPY DANCE
Love love love. I usually watch Wayne Goss as he’s closer to my age but when I look back in pictures from my late 30s I see but didn’t notice or have the means to pull up a hack. I appreciate that you are young but you are truthful and not just hey I’m 19 doing a video on how without having the need to and just erks me. Thank you your technique is even a bit easier than Wayne’s. You have a new subscriber
This video was so helpful ❤ Long story short. I’ve always had harsh lines under my eyes. Something I was just born with. Well after getting teased for years I finally got filler injected under my eyes in my 30s I had touch up injections a few times since (I’m 42) well I don’t know what happened but my body started to seriously attack the filler under my eyes and I started developing huge granulomas. The size of eggs. Well I found a Dr in California (I’m in WA State) that came up with a series of injections and it helped get the swelling and the size of the granuloma down so much. Well now my issue is that because the skin got so inflated, now it’s the opposite. So I have hollow spots under my eyes where the granulomas were. I hate how I look in pics now. I’m going to try this technique and hopefully it helps a little. Thank you ❤
Oh my GAWD WTF. I had the color correcting part, but the concealer only in the most hollow part.... I just did it in the mirror and literally said, "uh...what?!". This works!
From a long time dark circler I find putting cheek color (blush and or bronzer color range) up closer to the eyes on the outside corner than usual. So dark circle is LIGHTER which is close to nose and naturally dark, and the cheeks are a little darker near the outside corner. So the color contrast is way less and also camouflages.
I have darkness around my whole eye (skin over 60)! That is so hard to conceal but what stymies me are hooded eyes and especially the pooch of skin toward the corner of my eye. It's right next to the area I need to conceal (up along the inner eye darkness). If you get any concealer or light eye shadow on it, it practically glows with whiteness! I've extended the "darker crease area" eye shadow used to decrease my hooded eyes which helps but maybe you have a technique for this? Love your kitty theme! I paint wooden candle sticks and on the bottom I write "Barncat productions." I grew up on a farm where we played with our barn cats alot. Me-OW!
I think your technique of using the deeper eyeshadow shade is great! Id use a tiny precise brush to conceal only the bit of skin under the eye fullness. Love the Barncat Productions! Do you sell online, I’d love to check it out!
Omg 😱 this worked 🤗 I have so many concealers and I was ready to toss them. I have tear troughs that are so hard to conceal, and I don’t like the look of a bright concealer under my eye if often feels like too much makeup. Your method is awesome, and thank you for sharing.
Such a great technique for us hollow eyed girlies! My issue is getting the makeup to stay in this small area. I feel like the makeup here wears off so quickly, and if I’m wearing on the rest of my face it really contrasts. Anyone have any tips? I’ve been using power grip primer on the under eye area, setting with a thin layer of powder and I colour correct underneath
Thanks! I'm in my 60's and the whole eye circle thing only gets more prominent. This is the first time I realized it wasn't my product, but my technique, that needed correcting.
This is exactly what I was looking for, thank you so much for sharing! I've been self conscious of my under eyes since middle schhol, I'm excited to try it out for myself. 🤗
Your video has been astonishingly helpful. I too struggle with and am conscious about my sunken eye area. It gives the appearance of tiredness and sickness and general creepiness and is not at all flattering. I also despise the ridiculous overly makeup clone look that has become so popular. I prefer a more natural look. Your technique looks wonderful. I'm going to try my utmost to replicate it. Your video is just what I've been searching for and not those plastic surgery remedies that pops up. You've got it right. We want to look like feminine women not clones. Thank you so much.

Yep me too. It’s like the capillaries are too close to the skin and the vessels are seen through the skin. Drives me insane.

I actually just teared up reading this! I’m so happy I could help ❤️
i... it's that easy? omg, trying this after i coated my undereyes with 5 concealer layers today

This is the first time I realized it wasn't my product, but my technique, that needed correcting.
oh my god, your skin is so beautiful
You are absolutely adorable. Thanks for the tips!
Finally someone with same eyebags as me 😭😭 THANK YOU ❤️❤️
This is exactly what I was looking for, thank you so much for sharing!
Omg I wish I knew about this before now 😭😭 you are a life saver! I can’t wait to try it. Just joined the kitty litter 😍
Welcome to the Kitty Litter!! I’m so thankful to have you 🥺❤️
