@@tasnimmeher9790 Hi! Sometimes it happens to me after using it for a while (some weeks). So when that happens I stop using it for a few days or even a week, then go back to normal application. I apply at morning and night, one small drop on each under-eye. When it's absorbed/dried by the skin and finish off my routine, I go over with my moisturising cream (the CeraVe in my case), even on my under-eyes
I've used this most morning, for the past year and find it reduces puffiness significantly and I can actually feel my eyes becoming less tired. Not a fan of the consistency, which can be a bit tacky until it fully sinks in. Never used it for wrinkles, hydration or dark circles (which I find are diet/sleep related). I'm a guy, almost 40 and I have zero crows feet and a very faint expression line, under each eye. Since starting eye care a few years ago, I've used Elemis pro collagen eye treatment, Estee Lauder Eye Repair, Clarins super restorative & and for the past 10months, Niod Fractionated Eye Concentrate. Loved them all.

Makes me look hella tired. But you know what at least we can get away of not sleeping and still look little to close to our usual self.
I love the fact you add comments from a pro who explains like you everything very clearly and helps us to identify the real issue we have. Brillant, I'd love to see the entire conversation. At my 30's I really want to take the right direction before doing something wrong and eventualy mess up my skin
I’ve always struggled with dark under eyes and I have to say the product works for me! I’ve been using it for about a month and a half now and noticed a change within a few weeks of using it. Of course, I do have very dark under eyes, so maybe, like you said, that is the reason I’ve noticed a bigger change than others!
So I know you don’t really like eye cream, but could you do a video on the best eye cream for each problem base on ingredients? I think it would help a lot of us
This is by far the best video on this topic I've seen online. Detailed yet to the point explanation, referencing studies and going out of the way to include experts for validation. Truly grateful for the kind of content you make. I suffer from festoons or malar bags which seem to have a similar concept. I will definitely start off with this and let you know how I feel ❤
Interestingly this product was one of those that actually made me see changes rather significantly. It reduced the purple color under the eyes and I think also some of the puffiness. I didn't have very strong puffiness though, I mostly took it for the color. I applied it twice a day. I didn't know it has benefits as a full face serum, tell me more about that please
Agreed. This is actually my favorite Ordinary product. I've seen a huge difference over the last three years that I've been using it. I first saw changes after a few weeks, and if I don't use it for a few days I can tell. I'm 36, and I started using it at 33.
i don't always use it twice a day, but same, it's lessened dark circles heaps. I also feel my 'under the eyelid' is less wrinkly. Also experienced more lash growth (I lost my lashes a few years ago due to intense medical treatment, and they were pretty sparse when starting to grow back). Been using it for about 4 months? I don't find it helps with puffiness as that for me is a sinus/lymphatic drainage issue. My main reason for not using my face moisturiser in eye area I do experience milia more frequently. (I'd love if you could discuss milia in detail, Cassandra!) Weirdly enough, when I used it on some beginning fine lines as suggested by Cassandra, it didn't really do much, but am on a baby retinol which seems to be helping better. Though I might try the caffeine serum on broken capillaries around my mouth and nose as she suggested :)
Yess!! You can put it in your face! The coffee does wonders to the skin...but im glad it worked for your dark circles... im thinking of buying it just to see if it works for me. As you i dont much puffiness, its just really dark.
This also can be used with vitamin c and niacinamide helping more to the skin to get the brightness that we all want it. Im going to buy it. Wish me luck!
i have never been so insecure by a woman before. you are one of the most brilliant incredible gorgeous soft spoken woman i’ve seen on youtube ughh i cant stop watching u
I LOVE this product! I often wake up with puffy eyes in the morning, and this is the only product I have ever tried that actually works (and I have tried all the expensive brands!). I put it on, and five minutes later the puffiness is reduced. By the time I get out the door, it's completey gone. - so Thank you Cassandra for introducing me to this product :)
The best thing to get rid of shadow under the eye, is lighting! I look at myself in different lights and I look dramatically different in each one. Kinda freaks me out lol. I have that product and many others from The Ordinary, and I like them. Some you can't get in Canada though, not sure why. Very informative video, but then again they ALL are.
I use this everywhere and what I’ve found it helping with is it tightens under my eyes and it has helped with broken capillaries around my nose... thankyou beautiful for another great video 💋xxxxxxxxxx
Yes! I’m 52 and I’ve been using it all over my face too including, jawline and under my chin for 2 years and I can tell a difference without it. To each his own.

I also struggle with dark under eye circles and have sleep disorders. Thank you for sharing! I tried this before and didn’t notice a difference. I think it is my anatomy and I embrace that now. :)
I actually fine this incredibly useful for reducing the puffiness of my eyelids and around my eyes. I was actually starting to consider surgery because I hated it to much, so this product has been a big game changer for me.
i use this and i personally have dark circles. it does help with that a little bit, i saw results after about 2 weeks (not that drastic). but for me it doesn't get rid off the problem but it can reduce a lot of that discoloration
NIOD Survival 0 uses a form of fractionated melanin tailored to absorb light in the range of 400-500 nm wavelengths. Being NIOD part of DECIEM, just like The Ordinary, I assume they use the very same ingredient. I would love to see the whole conversation with Dr. Miller
@@saintetienne755 I just received that eye serum to try it out but I haven't used it yet, hope it does something for me though. That stuff costs a fortune for what it is.
@@parisiaeka5159 If we don't have chemical compounds such as melanin or UV filters to absorb and filter the radiation our skin will do it instead. Our skin absorbs sunlight for things like vitamin D synthesis, but it being an organ makes it subject to degradation and formation of cancerous skin cells, that's why we use SPF. Melanin is not a UV filter per say but a pigment, which helps in defending our skin cells from UV radiation. That's why we tan when we stay in the sun, because our body reacts to its exposure to sunlight by creating this pigment, melanin, in our skin in order to "defend" itself.
I used TO Caffeine and found it didn't do anything to my under-eye puffiness which is from aging. I've been using The Inkey List Caffeine serum for a couple of years because it works a little better on my skin.
I swear by this product. Cannot say exactly how it makes my undereyes look better, but if I stop using it for 2+ days, I instantly get very dark undereye circles and puffiness. Tested this 3 times for different lengths of not using it, because I, too, was not convinced it dis anything.
This is the only eye cream I've found that actually reduced my purple bruise-like undereyes. It may not work for everyone, but this was a product that performed better for me than much more expensive eye creams.
I’ve never tried anything specifically for the eyes until I ordered a wishtrend box that included the Klairs fundamental eye butter. I really enjoy it. It has a few different types of peptides in it I believe. Doesn’t feel heavy or sticky at all. Truthfully I wouldn’t have purchased it, but since it was in the box and highly discounted, it’s definitely a product I enjoy using. Could you look into that product please?
Allergies are my cause for bagginess so I know I just need to go to a derm whenever they start to really bug me. I am really intriged by that caffeine solution as a serum🤩
4:55 Childhood traumas and things like PTSD: it can sound like a very benign step in treatment, but taking care of ourselves through skincare can be really therapeutic. I’ve noticed that myself. 🦋💗🌸
I've been using this since early May this year, still a quarter more to the bottom. Although I did get it to try my luck with some minor puffiness and fine lines, I can't say this bottle contributed 100% to changes in that area because 1. I cold compress, 2. The lines were not so bad to start off with so moisturisation helped, and 3. I apply SPF religiously too. Then I stumbled upon that video you posted, and I started applying on other areas on my face, all over my neck and stomach (I developed major lines on my belly area due to pregnancy and post birth I shrunk to my petite size again with LINES across my belly 😂). Now this I have to report helped. Just like you said, I used it like a serum. With its price, I have no complains, just happy to have become a more knowledgeable consumer with less lines, thanks to you, Cassandra. ❤️❤️. Thank you for the video, I enjoyed it. Oh, yes, I'd like to see that video of yours interviewing the doctor please!
I also use it for this purpose! I also put it on my butt and breasts - I breastfed exclusively for over a year. I can see much more of a difference on my body than my face. Even my husband has commented it :)
Been using this as under eye cream for like 3 months now, it made a lot of difference. It has reduced the puffiness. It also has brightened my under eye 🥰

Valuable information. I am one of those that always had little eye bags, even as a kid. Now at 58 I keep hoping for that miracle cream cure because it’s so much worse now. Tried this serum, did nothing. Working with acceptance instead. (and good health, etc)
Hey, look up Beauty by Anne Marie where she uses a Nivea Q10 serum for bags. They don't sell this serum in stores anymore so I had to get it off of Amazon (I didn't buy it through her store but made sure I had the correct one because there are 2 different ones so make sure you get the right one, it's pricy at $24). I've used that Q10 serum under my eyes for 2 months and it actually has helped my bags. I've had bags since I was 15. I had to be persistent and use the serum 1-4x/week for 2 months and it's finally showing results
i used this product for a long time and I actually liked it. The hydration was very good and it did brighten my under eye area. I am using Sunday Riley Auto Corrector but I will be back to The Ordinary eye cream.
I've been using the Ordinarys caffeine eye cream for a while, and it seemed to tighten up all the wrinkles and lines under my eyes, to the point if I don't use it I can tell...I'm hooked
I bought this and started using this about 2 weeks ago! The gummy residue in the cap is so true, I thought I was clumsy so it ended up like that lol. 😂
I'm impressed you said Epicalifragilisticexpialadotiousalate in one go side note: Puffy undereyes looks youthful, korean makeup includes lining the "undereye smile" with some eyeshadow then filling it in with a glittery eyeshadow. I've been using Dear Dahlia's eye sequins for that and I think it's REALLY beautiful. :) Try it (specifically called Aegyo Sal)
I’m on my third bottle and I haven’t payed close attention to the change tho i went in the bathroom after your video and realized I don’t have any puffiness. Though I still have dark circles. I’ll be paying closer attention as I continue to use so many of The Ordinary products. Thanks Cassandra! Hoping to find more of The Ordinary products on your channel.
I also tried this for puffy and bluish circles seriously for about a month with no change but what did help with mine was gentle vibrating massage. Be patient, consistent and unfortunately continuous.....like for the rest of your life lol
I have used many products for my dark circles but i can tell you dermalmd under eye serum is one is my favourite among all, the reason behind that it is fast reactive towards the dark circles also it’s price is quite decent. MUST buy for under eye pigmentation💕💕
I've been using this product for a few months now and I havent seen Major Major difference but i have seen improvements for sure. Especially since i have such a fair conplexion, ive seen this help enough *for my personal preference* with some of the shadow and puffiness in my under eye. Which has been an insecurity of mine for years, and this product even though it hasnt done miracles, it has helped. But definitely takes a lot of time to see some results in my opinion.
Lymphatic drainage massage for the eyes is great! Exuviance eye smoother for $40 is great containing hyaluronic acid and polyhydroxy acid, kept in the refrigerator to depuff is also another eye trick. I'm a Skin Care Specialist too! I'm new to your channel but I'm enjoying it!!!
I bought this product recently and I’ve noticed a difference already after only using it for about 3 weeks that it appeared to make my under eyes lighter.
I always feel like eye cream can help with the damage you do to you eyes by yourself, but not with the change that your eye area goes through naturally. So when you use a lot of eye make up you have to also remove a lot of eye make up. Depending on your skin type this can be drying to the eye area. In this case a moisturizer can help. But I think that's kind of it...
I started using the snail mucin about a month ago and apply it under my eyes as well. I started seeing how bright my under eyes are. I also use a hyaluronic acid roll on and have been for about a year, so it wasn't from that. I am super satisfied with the snail mucin. My face glows, my under eye is looking amazingly good.

I am 51. Have not had many skin issues. I do love this stuff primarily for maintenance. Not to mention that it feels really good compared to lotion type eye creams. Cost is great as well.
I have been using this! I have that under eye fat and I figured it was genetic. I have been using this and sometimes a jade roller. I think it helps a little, but it definitely does plump up the skin around my eyes and makes any fine lines much less noticeable. I was able to force myself to sleep on my back for a week once and that helped a TON but I'm so bad at it and I'm a troubled sleeper to begin with 😅
I think it works. You say that you don’t see any improvement; but you can actually see it. Your eyes did look less puffy. The product will help but the key component is to get good night sleep as well.
You should have done only one eye to be able to compare throughout the day and everything I bought the retinol eye cream and I think it's really helped with wrinkles Also, your hair looks so beautiful 😻
I tried this product too and although It didn't make the darkness disappear I love to use it when I haven't had a good night of sleep, you know, when you feel like your eyes kind of like...hurt?? I don't know how to explain but it does make me feel way more relaxed
I know what you mean! I experience the same thing in the past. it makes my under eyes feel tight and relax. although it didn't do anything to reduce the dark circles, i guess it does something for puffiness. however I don't have that much patience to see a greater result, so I stop half bottle. I can wait for other skin problems but not under eyes 😆
For some reason I don't understand the science that my teachers tell but I understand EVERY SINGLE thing that Cassandra says when she talks about the skin science. She makes science actually kinda fun and interesting
So I’ve been working with the same bottle for MONTHS. I was at first only using it once a day and then went to twice a day (am and pm) and I’ve noticed a major difference. I have a natural glow under my eyes now (even when it’s not on) and it takes down any swelling that I may have. I’ve never suffered from dark circles but I can say it helps with making you look more “awake” and “alert”
I definitely want to see the full conversation between you two! Super interesting. He does say “okay?” a lot, tho 😂 love the new upload, Cassandra. Great job lately! (Always, but lately you’ve really been pumping me out!) also interesting to hear you nursed until you were 5. I’m a side sleeper too, but I don’t have that excuse 😅
I am 44 and always struggled with puffy under eyes and purple shadows. I started using this but just in the morning cause instantly reduces the puffiness but night time i use retinol eye cream. This is not giving long term results but just applying it in the morning it gives instant lift and great base for my concealer. It is a bit drying so i use sunblock on the top
To all who have puffy under eyes: I think they are really cute. Do not feel the need to change it. They are adorable and there are a lot of people who think they cute and envy you guys 🥰

I love the fact you add comments from a pro who explains like you everything very clearly and helps us to identify the real issue we have. Brillant, I'd love to see the entire conversation. At my 30's I really want to take the right direction before doing something wrong and eventualy mess up my skin
I'd absolutely love to see the entire video, too! PLEASE
I think it would help a lot of us
She's done a video similar to that. Check out her June video "before wasting more money on eye creams...", she recommends some in the description box.
I'm a guy and I have to say this is a very wonderful video. Thanks for the review.
Aw🤗
Love how you move the video along quickly but still loaded w good info. So ez to watch!
How long does it take to notice a difference with purple color under the eyes?
(I'd love if you could discuss milia in detail, Cassandra!)
Weirdly enough, when I used it on some beginning fine lines as suggested by Cassandra, it didn't really do much, but am on a baby retinol which seems to be helping better.
Yes, I would LOOVEEEE to see that full hour interview!
Which product do you mean please?? With the caffeine?
Love the amount of details that went into the video. Appreciate the info that actually help us understand my skin better. Thanks
I use this everyday! It helps the puffiness I get around my eyes from allergies. It’s brightened and opened up my eyes so much 👀
Did you use it two times a day! Before bedtime and after waking up?
The best thing to get rid of shadow under the eye, is lighting! I look at myself in different lights and I look dramatically different in each one. Kinda freaks me out lol. I have that product and many others from The Ordinary, and I like them. Some you can't get in Canada though, not sure why. Very informative video, but then again they ALL are.
That is because of your bone structure
Overhead lighting really accentuates the herniated fat pad under my L eye.
At this point i trust you more than any brand advertisement🤣
I use this everywhere and what I’ve found it helping with is it tightens under my eyes and it has helped with broken capillaries around my nose... thankyou beautiful for another great video 💋xxxxxxxxxx
What differences have you seen with the broken capillaries? Are they just less noticeable?
Yes! I’m 52 and I’ve been using it all over my face too including, jawline and under my chin for 2 years and I can tell a difference without it. To each his own.
@@AngelLuluBlu what basically are you using for wrinkles puffiness and dark circles around the eyes
I have puffiness around eyes and it makes me look tired
@@AngelLuluBlu so it did tighten your jawline ?
I'm so sorry you had trauma that causes you occasional nightmares! I've had trauma too (Luckily, no dreams), but I wanted to say that I love your videos and you are very bright and so informative. Do keep smiling ☺️.
I can't sleep on my back. When I do I have terrible nightmares and wake up with headache
I can't sleep on my back either. I don't know precisely why. It bothers me because I probably wrinkle my face all night long.
Keep trying don't give up 🙃
It happens to me too.. I thought I was the only one!
@@cacamtz1213kaka me too!!!
Me too! It gives me sleep paralysis, it’s horrible and not worth it!
I’ve had great success using this cold from the refrigerator!
Thanks for commenting
We're ur eyebags puffy like a lot n u tried everything? If I could see how urs used to look like
You’re the first one that I actually go through the whole video. I love how you explain things and be thorough 💜🤍☺️
Absolutely have been loving all of this information and how you can hold me because of how real and just down to earth you are. Thank you again
I saw eye cream and clicked wayyyyyy too quickly💜
Please post the whole conversation with the doctor! I loved the little clip
i use this and i personally have dark circles. it does help with that a little bit, i saw results after about 2 weeks (not that drastic). but for me it doesn't get rid off the problem but it can reduce a lot of that discoloration
Same!
Arnica K helped tremendously with my dark circles
@@cynthialopez2084 which product do you use with Arnica K?
Hydration is so important. My dark circles are worse when I don’t drink water
Miller
NIOD is massively expensive - I've tried several, including the eye stuff. And it's a 'no' from me. Saw zero benefit
@@saintetienne755 I just received that eye serum to try it out but I haven't used it yet, hope it does something for me though. That stuff costs a fortune for what it is.
why wud skin need to absorb light??
I Love how dedicated You are with skincare. I wish i loved myself more so i could take care a little bit more of me.

I used TO Caffeine and found it didn't do anything to my under-eye puffiness which is from aging. I've been using The Inkey List Caffeine serum for a couple of years because it works a little better on my skin.
You are the only source of truth I look up to when it comes to skin care products, thank you for the effort!
I swear by this product. Cannot say exactly how it makes my undereyes look better, but if I stop using it for 2+ days, I instantly get very dark undereye circles and puffiness. Tested this 3 times for different lengths of not using it, because I, too, was not convinced it dis anything.
@Nurhan Mhawe Works for me!
It works for dark sunken eyes and not baggy eyes! That’s my theory and it works for me because of this!
So you’re saying when you stop using it your dark circles come back?
@@reneealams yes
@@janjickamixy wow okay thanks
👍🏿
Hey, FYI it really worked well on my undereye bags. I'm 65, I applied morning and night and started to see the difference after about 3 to 4 weeks!
Allergies are my cause for bagginess so I know I just need to go to a derm whenever they start to really bug me. I am really intriged by that caffeine solution as a serum🤩
I have the same problem and it's really sucks when we can't try many products. Does this product works for you? I'm about to try
@@carmencarmen7043did it work for you. I bought it but I’m scared I have very sensitive skin

So much effort has been put in the making of the video its showing
Been using this as under eye cream for like 3 months now, it made a lot of difference. It has reduced the puffiness. It also has brightened my under eye 🥰
Did you use extra eye cream or only caffine solutions?
I just want to right you Cassandra that I have been watching your every video and i am so suprised that someone is so harismatic and well educated and still so dron to post a video on youtube, you are so insparing for me personel to learn more about ingridians and just imyoing routin, skin routin. I am from beauty industry, thats my proffesion and thank you for sharing!
@@leahr9038 thank you! I will look it up
Wow I'm kind of relieved that you showed the "gumminess" of your bottle, because mine have been doing the same thing and I wasn't sure what it was!

i used this product for a long time and I actually liked it.
I'm impressed you said Epicalifragilisticexpialadotiousalate in one go
side note: Puffy undereyes looks youthful, korean makeup includes lining the "undereye smile" with some eyeshadow then filling it in with a glittery eyeshadow. I've been using Dear Dahlia's eye sequins for that and I think it's REALLY beautiful. :) Try it (specifically called Aegyo Sal)
That’s very interesting, thank you for sharing this
Since i use this serum my puffiness's under my eyes are gone….i put it on and in a few minutes they’re gone….i love this stuff ❤️

Thsts awsome that you incorporated your face time with surgeon. I say YES! Please post that video and add the ingredients he mentioned for eye creams.
I also tried this for puffy and bluish circles seriously for about a month with no change but what did help with mine was gentle vibrating massage. Be patient, consistent and unfortunately continuous.....like for the rest of your life lol
Hi there. Was it manual massage or did you use a device?
It’s been more than 4 months and nothing with this serum
@@deedee2218 i used a vibrating massager wand that i picked up on Amazon. It has a rounded metal head.
So informed, so clear, so well spoken! Thanks, Cassandra. You totally rock!
The way you deliver knowledge and the dedication you put on creating these videos makes me feel cared for and actually supported, tysm!
Also, i can't seem to find the video where you speak about the caffeine solution for the whole face. How is it called?
I was putting the caffeine one on today and just happened to click on your video and that's the exact thing you're talking about. I guess I needed to see it
Just wanted to say thank you for all the effort you put into these videos! You help so many of us! Also, thank you for not making aging a crime. I don’t want to age quickly but I also don’t want to be 60 with zero wrinkles. With all your tips I hope to age gracefully! 💓

I discovered this channel a few days ago and I have stayed because I love your ethics in relation to cosmetics. I'd love it if you could try out a brand-name transparent lab that's going to be launched shortly.
I think this is the best product I ever used under my eyes! It got rid of my "hills & valleys" and the dark bluing tint all around. Love it!!
I use this as an antioxidant all over my face, as Dr Dray recommended, and it works great in the morning under the spf.
