It's a pity that Relko got injured before the Irish Derby a few weeks later. It would have been a great thrill for Irish racegoers to see him in action.

Many Classic, Group and handicap winners the last 100 or more years were pepped up crudely at first but since with undetectables. Always 5 years ahead of the labs. Higher than average thoroughbred barbituarate readings tell chemists there is something "there" but they need to know the exact composition to identify that dope.
Sir, the public are also doped to believe all turf "stars" are straight. Many are artificial. Does one believe racing folk are more "innocent" than athletes and cyclists? Rather niaive to do so given huge stud earnings, betting coups and for some huge egos. Doping horses has been as common as tax fiddling where the only crime is being caught.
Often a get out of contaminated feed is accepted by the Jockey Club but are very selective about who they "let off".
Suggest for UK bet in June and July on the biggest breeder owned horses when stud careers are up for grabs in Group races. That time of year horses at their best for big events. Sir, good luck in determining how some of these races are collectively earmarked by and for the cartel to succeed.

Unlike the brilliant Sea Bird 2 years who won on the bridle eased down literally cantering. Relko was under a full drive from Yves and whilst he didn’t have to go for the whip, this horse though very good lacked the brilliance of Sea Bird
