I honestly got confused when Dot and Anadil introduced each other. In the book, Dot's character had a thicker body and Anadil was a albino witch with 3 rats at her side. I'm a little disappointed as I loved these three witches in the book
They opened it up for albino actors. Do you know how hard that is to get the right albino actress/actor for a part? Stop complaining and just don’t watch.
I know he's not her type but Hort seems like a really good guy. He's loyal af and so supportive. I started reading the first book last night bc i finally watched the movie, discovered that it was a book series, discovered that the movie made changes to the story. I hope Hort gets him a good arc, he's a weird emo kid but damn, don't I just love his kind, little heart. Maybe not for Sofie but he'll find a girl that's not only right for him but appreciates him.
the sophie vs hester showcase of talents scene could've been better if sophie called for bats, wasps, and bees to attack hesters demon. it really was one of sophie's best Evil moments in book 1

She was whistling for birds and squirrels to help her, like Snow White did, but bees came to her aid instead and then wasps, bats, and other animals that she didn't expect. Sophie is truly powerful on her own, and in the movie, they made her super dependent on Rafal for her witch transformation. That's not the case in the books, it's darker and more cruel. Sophie in the books is the true epitome of Evil.
**SPOILER** Was it really Sophie that called the Bees or was it Rafal that actually came in and 'saved' her since we see him in the bees? A part of me feels like she didn't really have any powers until the end seeing how it was Rafal that basically boosted her baby power.

What I don't get is when Sophie and Hester are in the classroom, Hester is actively trying to kill Sophie, and would have if she wasn't stopped by the bees, but the moment Hester is at risk Lesso says "You're not allowed to kill anyone until after graduation" Like okay, then why was Hester allowed to almost kill Sophie..?

@@getdownonit8753 the actress did a great job but theres alot of wrongs to Anadil's character first is her powers, its kinda weird that we were introduced to her hydrokinesis abilities first instead of her more original power which is having the ability to command her pet rats and the fact that she can enlarge them a few inches, its one of the things that separates her from the rest second she didnt rlly had any presence? like shes just there? she appeared more in the books but in the movie shes just a background character somehow
they may not follow whole thing on the book, jts a market strategy, they dont use entirely the books to surprise audience, mainly audience who had read the books, cuz if they do the same thing as the book, there is no rush feeljng while watching the movie

Anadil had a casting call for albino actors so it's not like they didn't try but ya dot should have been bigger

I like the portrayal of the actress in Hester's character. Hester's personality and her appearance are what I imagined from the book.
Hester’s skeletondragon looks very intimidating. I love the VFX that show how her tattoo comes alive.
