She's actually western asian / middle eastern and also south east asian but only 1/4 (25%) Singaporean she was mostly raised by jewish parents and lives in england which makes sense for her british accent as well- She does not look fully white but she is white passing- i am a south east asian too but its sad to see musa being mostly white when there are full asians existing for a full representation- musa is south east she shouldve been chinese specifically which clearly in the cartoon shows east asia culture- even if shes small part asian we wont see a full representation and the Chinese culture smh

This isn't a spin-off too in my opinion, considering a spin-off usually still follows the main series but told in a different perspective like if a series was made of the Winx Club but in Stella's pov or in a different setting but still tied to the main series like, as you mentioned, the World of Winx. Original comment was right, they should have just made a new show not related to the Winx Club. It would have had more freedom in terms of plot progression without the general public having to judge it prematurely because they can't help but compare it to the material that it was adapted from.
For me it looks more inspired by the cartoon W.I.T.CH than Winx. W.I.T.C.H is more darker and Winx is much bright, sprinkle, Pretty. Who knows the Girl Group « Boys World » ? That’s more of the idea I had for the characters of an adaptation for Winx.

Although the execution on some aspects of the show were poorly done like the outfits and the whitewashing of characters smh😐. the plot was okay and the cgi wasn't ATLA live action bad💀 so overall it wasn't bad but it's wasn't good either but i am looking forward to S02 and i best see tecna👀

meh, the universe don't feel really like another world, the "fairies" don't have wings, use our phones, our socials network, our drugs, our fashion, our animals... they even have fucking normal cars! To me, the show is happening on earth, not in another world, they don't have anything that make them apart even though the two worlds are supposed to be apart. And outside of the fairies shooting their powers from time to time, i don't see magic anywhere. The plot is not bad but for something with the budget of netflix, i hoped for way more cgi and special effect.

I think the reason why it has only 6 episodes due to budgeting concerns, there's a lot of visual effects used here, compared to Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. and also they might be testing the waters, if this will become a HIT, and yes it DID. it went #1 in more than 10 countries, and the biggest show "SO FAR" of 2021 in terms of audience viewership. so probably we'll get the normal Netflix 10-11 episodes in the upcoming seasons.

I was so skeptical at first to watch because the winx club was my gay childhood and i thought this show was going to ruin that but it didn't because the show has some of the same characters and elements from the cartoon but they had their own story like the burned ones and the Rosalind lady tbh it had me on the edge of my seat like every episode even if you already know what happens to bloom in the long run from the cartoon
The Starfire i wanted had green bolts of radiation, pink hair and orange skin since she was an alien. The Starfire you wanted is the same one we got just white. At least have the balls to own up to it

The "magical girl" transformation is usually really cringe in live action (trust me), that's why i think it was a good idea to remove it. Plus i think they wanted to make the show more "realistic" and dark to appeal a teenage audience instead of a children one, that's why they toned it down with the glitter, vibrant colours and family friendly content.
I would like us all to take a moment of respect for the makeup artist working for Netflix. Someone had to tell me she was also Dorcas in Sabrina, she looks completely different

Based on the stuff I've seen so far, I actually like it. I don't want them to just remake the original. If I want to watch Winx Club, I'd go watch that. I really appreciate the new take they have on it. They're turning it into something new, which I love. I don't remember much about Bloom from the cartoon, but what I do remember just makes her feel kinda bland? Is that just me? She feels like more of a character here. She's got flaws that she needs to work on besides just "getting stronger" or something like that. Also, I actually prefer these outfits over the sparkly, colourful ones from the cartoon? I think it's funny how the cartoon's style appealed to me as a child while this show seems to lean more into what I like now.
Even thought Fate was billed as a teen series, as a 72 year old man, I enjoyed both season 1 and 2 immensely! Unfortunately, the powers that be at Netflix have decided they aren't making enough money and so are cancelling plans for season 3. So maddening!

I was so skeptical at first to watch because the winx club was my gay childhood and i thought this show was going to ruin that but it didn't because the show has some of the same characters and elements from the cartoon but they had their own story like the burned ones and the Rosalind lady tbh it had me on the edge of my seat like every episode even if you already know what happens to bloom in the long run from the cartoon

The Starfire i wanted had green bolts of radiation, pink hair and orange skin since she was an alien. The Starfire you wanted is the same one we got just white. At least have the balls to own up to it

almost every single interaction with bloom was about her and her will to find the truth, It almost felt like she didn't care about her friends at all
To be fair, the "friends" in this show didn't really have much chemistry, they didn't even act like friends most of the time untill the last episode...

literally blooms character arc in the old winx was trusting your friends and being hopeful. but this one was just awful. no hate to the actor of course, she played an awful character perfectly. but bloom in this wasn’t acting smart nor being the hopeful, friendly and fun loving character.

Guys relax. Fate knows shes not just a fire fairy. Plz watch carefully before u guys judge. In episode 6 of Fate rosalind mentions that bloom is the fairy of dragon flame and not just fire. Bloom didn't knew that at first in fate just like how she didn't knew in winx club at first that shes more then a fire fairy.

The "magical girl" transformation is usually really cringe in live action (trust me), that's why i think it was a good idea to remove it. Plus i think they wanted to make the show more "realistic" and dark to appeal a teenage audience instead of a children one, that's why they toned it down with the glitter, vibrant colours and family friendly content.

Based on the stuff I've seen so far, I actually like it. I don't want them to just remake the original. If I want to watch Winx Club, I'd go watch that. I really appreciate the new take they have on it. They're turning it into something new, which I love. I don't remember much about Bloom from the cartoon, but what I do remember just makes her feel kinda bland? Is that just me? She feels like more of a character here. She's got flaws that she needs to work on besides just "getting stronger" or something like that.
Also, I actually prefer these outfits over the sparkly, colourful ones from the cartoon? I think it's funny how the cartoon's style appealed to me as a child while this show seems to lean more into what I like now.

Even thought Fate was billed as a teen series, as a 72 year old man, I enjoyed both season 1 and 2 immensely! Unfortunately, the powers that be at Netflix have decided they aren't making enough money and so are cancelling plans for season 3. So maddening!

@@rayhanali5375 the show literally felt like a wandless harry potter in riverdale. If they were going to adopt a show like this then at least spend money of CGI. This is literally another example of an adaptation. Having said that, it might be a budget issue with CGI. And since the show seems to be successful, hopefully season 2's better!
