If YES, why all DJI ASS KISSERS present this drone as 50MPx 1inch, when in fact is under 1inch and Bayer tech 12MPx main camera? ??????
I would also like to point out that all these UA-camrs that released DJIAir 3S videos today were GIVEN these drone for FREE so how do we know if the reviews are NOT bias… I would assume they are since it’s free and they didn’t pay for it. Don’t get me wrong … I like most of the drone UA-camrs and enjoy watching their videos but free to me = bias
And we're allowed to criticise if we want to. My review is after 2 weeks of use and word for word the same as if I'd bought it and I am guessing Darren's is too. For me, brilliant bit of kit = bias
One of the reasons I watch Darren here is that he usually does a good job of being quite open and honest about these drones. This is the first video, normally we're all excited etc and its all about new features, but we always get real life ones after 3 or 6 months too and Darren tends to be quite critical in those. Always points out issues on them and the comments have a fair deal of feedback in them too.
@@aikz5 I wouldn’t go that far but maybe some of them could be. We all know DJI makes awesome things. I love my Air 3 and I’m sure the S is a step up but I do believe some UA-camrs over exaggerate on somethings.
I just got a 4k mini and so far I like the hobby of drone flying. The image is okay but 3 things I’m most concerned with right now is nighttime use primarily, speed, and wind resistance. I know the transmission quality is 1080 at 60 fps with the mini 4 pro and higher drones so that would probably aid big time in night flights. So I’m basically between mini 4 pro, air 3s, and mavic 3 pro. Is there any other model I’m overlooking? And which would you recommend
Ive just got a mini 4k but up high today pressed bring home and it settled above a huge tree and thought its gone but took it away from the tree and was fine so got to thinking upgrade but then at £250 i can afford to lose a drone but at £1000 I cant. Tell you what though..an amazing piece of kit the mini 4k.
It depends on your use case, your experience with cameras and photography and videography, your budget and if you care about a better camera, or better safety systems and active track. Get the Mavic 3 Pro if you have a lot of experience with photography, and video and for whatever reason require the best.. it’s weight carries it over the 900g limit for a C1 type drones limiting where you fly without training and certifications making it a bit more a hassle to work with. Get the Air 3s if you are just getting into the hobby, focus on your shots/ positioning and safety features and flying, with the added benefit of safety now while flying in low light scenarios. The weight is under 900g so it fits into a C1 category (depending on where you live) which makes this far more accessible to use and take off with. The Mavic 4 probably won’t arrive till 2025 mid/late. So I wouldn’t worry too much, even if you got a Mavic 3 Pro, and the M4 came out in a month after. You’re still using an extremely impressive kit on a portable drone that can fit in a lunchbox. Realistically, I tell people to get the one they want, within reason of course. The best drone to probably get if you’re starting off is the Mini 4 Pro given its C0 sub 250g category. Far easier and far more fun to fly because you don’t have to worry about restrictions beyond basic safety legislation. You can get more practice in and fit it in an everyday carry bag. Plus if you make a mistake and crash it, at least you did it on a sub £1000 drone package. Instead of a potentially 2k-4K package. Let me know what you think. I’m curious.

I had a Magic 3 pro and for some God aweful reason I sold it, so I have the Mini 4 pro left. How would you rate the air three S compared to these two maybe in the middle? What I benefit by getting an A3S over the mini 4 pro
if for commercial use/professional and you are already a certified drone operator go for A3s. mini4pro is for beginner, vloggers and people who don't want to get a certified drone pilot license and don't want to register their drone.
So for somebody that's new to drones especially DJI it's like a whole bunch of different lines What makes this air s line special compared to the others?
compared to the regular Air 3, the Air 3S is just a midlife refresh for the 3 series with a few extra features like a 1 inch sensor, new LiDAR obstacle avoidance and some software features. Both drones are relatively similar in most other regards(including the 70mm lens except the new 14 stops of DR). compared to other drones, its heavier and got a better camera(and dual camera) when compared to the Mini 4 Pro, with better wind stability and speed. both have the same O4 transmission. Compared to the Mavic 3 Pro, the Mavic has the better camera(5K, 4/3 sensor) but the Mavic series is slightly worse in pretty much every other way.
Such a wicked machine! Could you tell me What ISO & shutter where you at for the fireworks shots? It’s guy Fawkes night next week so would be a perfect chance to test out the night capabilities of my nice new Air 3S! I got it yesterday but haven’t flown it yet. Can’t wait to get used to it ;)
I have the RC2 with my mini 4 pro, will it be a simple process to bind with the air 3 s or will it be complicated as now ie unbinding my mini 4 pro and then binding the air 3 s ? Looking at getting one but don't need two rc 2 .
I use my Mavic Air 2 almost exclusively for Real Estate Photography and starting to get into video. Been looking into upgrading. Think the Air 3s is the best upgrade for me as of now?
Question, will it raise your over all price of the goods and services your selling? If the answer is no then you’re wasting money and I don’t expect your business to last with these types of decisions.
Another great video, thank you! The stability is nuts! As someone flying a Mini 4 Pro, with a Flyer ID & Operator ID, considering this drone, can you point to any resource that simply summarises the differences in moving from sub 250g to this? What do I need to do, as well as different restrictions?
Hi Darren, great video mate. A minor point - on 2 of your screens when discussing obstacle avoidance you say that the drone is “breaking” because of the obstacle sensed. I think you meant “braking”. A Freudian slip perhaps? All your vids are terrific, with great info and explanations. Many thanks for sharing!❤

The mini three pro without the sideways Avoidance is a little bit of a drawback, but I’ve learned to deal with it and stop hitting things after I trashed my mini 2 What do you think?
I have the mini 4 pro and the air 3 and the new Mavic. I find myself using the mini all the time because of the ease and non intrusiveness even for work. No client has ever said about the lack of quality. The new air 3s is not worth it ….. to me
@pudsboi5203 The Air 3S is a big jump in crash avoidance, now can see wires, so right now my Neo is perfect as it can hit wires all day and never get damaged, but for sure the Mini 5 will be on my radar if it can match the Air 3S obstacle avoidance!

Great review & footage 😊 I've had a Mini 2 for over 2 years now but looking to also get another and I'm torn between the Air 3S and Mini 4 Pro. The location immediately looked familiar. We've visited Lanzarote ten times over the years (before I got the drone). Recognised the beaches at Papagayo beyond Playa Blanca, Famara and Timanfaya National Park. Having experienced the winds there, you sure had good conditions for testing stability 😉 I hope to fly over there as well when we return 😊
great video !!! im just a photographer, so video atm not of interest to me. Im debating picking up a mavic pro 3 (2nd hand) or getting a new air 3s.The 70mm camera looks fantastic, its lighter, newer tech, so starting to lean towards the air 3s. Currently got the mini pro 3 which I love, but need better performance. Would you recommend hte air 3s ? I really dont want a big bulky drone, which is what the mavic is, although slightly superior performance in photos?

Bought an Air 3 on sale last week lol. Should I return it for this? Is it worth the extra £400? 🤔
Great video ! It looks brilliant
Thank you very much!
Are the regular Air 3's batteries compatible?
yes !
How about the propellers?
check the mah on the new batteries...using old batteries will reduce flight time which is already reduced by a few mins...check the comparison on dji website
I’ve been watching you and Billy getting around the countryside and posting on instagram and waiting patiently for these reviews!
Haha we been busy !
great video! thank you. question - can you use both lens simultaneously ?
Nope
Noob here: what program do you use for video editing?
How well does the video quality match when flipping between cameras. Will you need to match in post?
Matches good, you can use d-log m on both, I use nd32 80% if the time and only difference you’ll see is low light but my fireworks examples was both focal lengths
@@DMProductions cool. Thanks!
Great video my friend! Waiting for mine to arrive 👍🏻 oh and great desert shots 💯👌🏻
Still missing real D-Log and variable aperture. D-Log M isn’t very flat in comparison
Variable aperture aint never coming, they have to sell mavics too.
I switched hoping active track in spotlight would improve but the drone still lurches forward and backward as its tracking (spotlight)
any ideas? Thanks
There are more and more DJI models, and I don’t know how to choose?
mav 3 listed for sale on the bay now, ordering this today. been waiting a few years for a proper upgrade to the 2s and it hasnt disappointed, thank god
Sure is a great upgrade I can’t see my using the mavic 3 pro much at all now
@@DMProductions i know mate. 14 stops of range and even better low light than the old 3 year mav, all these new features too... makes the mavic 3 a bit obsolete in a way.
I just received mine and there is no MOV file format?
I had a Magic 3 pro and for some God aweful reason I sold it, so I have the Mini 4 pro left. How would you rate the air three S compared to these two maybe in the middle? What I benefit by getting an A3S over the mini 4 pro
if for commercial use/professional and you are already a certified drone operator go for A3s.
mini4pro is for beginner, vloggers and people who don't want to get a certified drone pilot license and don't want to register their drone.
@@KeenTBaaMTV the faa certification is completely pointless when hobbies can fly the exact same drones without any qualification. It’s illogical.
so i guess this is what i need to bump up the quality if i need something more than my mini 4 pro🤔
I have air 3 how much better is it?
Thanks for your review! Really informative. And amazing scenery. Where did you film this?
Thank you, lots of places, Norway, Canary Islands and UK
Does the Air 3S use the goggles 3?
Can’t wait to get used to it ;)
Can it fit an rtk module on it, attaching to the usb c?
i think it wont. because dji now wants us to buy now their DJI enterprise drones to use RTK
I have the RC2 with my mini 4 pro, will it be a simple process to bind with the air 3 s or will it be complicated as now ie unbinding my mini 4 pro and then binding the air 3 s ? Looking at getting one but don't need two rc 2 .
Yes it’s easy you just switch drones via the connection button on dji fly when you turn the other drone on
@@DMProductions great ! Hmmm, I wonder if DJI will sell drone only ?
Any body tell me please how can use this air3s for live feed on outdoor broadcast setup ,or compatible with rc pro ?
I use my Mavic Air 2 almost exclusively for Real Estate Photography and starting to get into video. Been looking into upgrading. Think the Air 3s is the best upgrade for me as of now?
Question, will it raise your over all price of the goods and services your selling? If the answer is no then you’re wasting money and I don’t expect your business to last with these types of decisions.
Pretty certain upgrading his drone won't put his business under. And if it does, it wasn't a good business to begin with 😂
Another great video, thank you! The stability is nuts!
As someone flying a Mini 4 Pro, with a Flyer ID & Operator ID, considering this drone, can you point to any resource that simply summarises the differences in moving from sub 250g to this? What do I need to do, as well as different restrictions?
Hi mate wich is better between mavic 3 classic or air3s?
I’d go for the air3s just for the additional tele lens
you left out anything about mapping. can you use waypoints? Are the quick shots the same?
Yes Quickshots, Mastershots, cruise control and waypoints all the same
If you had to pick up one to do real state footage and construction, in uk restrictions you would pick up mini4 or this one?
Mini 4 pro
Great review! Just wondering where you shot that cool volcanic mountain style footage??
Hi Darren, great video mate. A minor point - on 2 of your screens when discussing obstacle avoidance you say that the drone is “breaking” because of the obstacle sensed. I think you meant “braking”. A Freudian slip perhaps? All your vids are terrific, with great info and explanations. Many thanks for sharing!❤
Good point! Thank you 🙏
You wasn’t flying very fast. Go fast can you fly for the LiDAR to work/not work?
Hello my friend I hate to let you down but my air 2S it has 20 true megapixel image and 1 inch sensor,, so please tell me what’s the point? And what exactly DJI did ?
tele lens, lidar, tracking, battery, ocu4, the list goes on buddy
The tele lens is probably the only reason to upgrade.
Great review! Thank you 😊
great review as always Sir , thank you
Thank you kindly
Awesome as always. Wondering if you have any instructional videos on how colour grade. I have Final Cut Pro. I’m purchasing the Air 3s and mini 4 pro. And am new to this. Thanks.
Hey I have a few videos on my channel but I’ll do an updated version soon
I currently have the mini 3 pro and I have a neo which basically just a toy for quick trips. I was planning to upgrade to the mini five pro but now this air 3S looks pretty awesome and probably would be a better buy for me.
@@gregb1599 yes, i love the size of the Mini 3 pro, and a definite advantage especially for travel. Going to hold out and see what the Mini 5 pro has in upgrades.
Of course it's your favorite drone
How’s the camera paired against Mavic 3 Hassleblad?
Mavic 3 will still have the edge as it’s an adjustable aperture but for 90% of people this would be enough
@@DMProductions Thanks a lot for your answer. May I ask about the Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution? Does that help winning even against this new 1" sensor?
I released an in-depth camera comparison on my channel where I compare wide angle and tele cameras between Air 3S, Mavic 3 and Air 3. Very interesting results!
Great video and very informative, just like your other reviews on the Air 3. Bought the Mini 4K in July and it is an amzing drone giving great footage. Wanted to up the game and started researching other DJI Drones and came across your reviews on the Air3 which sold it for me and was about to order one till i heard the Air 3S was coming out so waited. Was released today in the UK and bought the Air 3S - RC2 combo package which arrives tomorrow and can't wait. Please don't recommend anymore for a while as the wife will be screwing having just spent another £1,400 ouch. Keep up the good the good work and will be watching your future videos on the Air 3S. 👍
How fast is she ? In sport mode
Does anyone know why they’re dropping the 5K feature off of their drones? I love my air to us because it is 5.3 K.
Are the AIR 3 and AIR 3S Batteries compatible
Yes
Did they not release that GPS remote everyone was mentioning?
The biggest advantage you will get with the Mavic is the adjustable aperture which for photos is a big advantage. If you want to focus on photos getting the Mavic 3 pro but for an allrounder the Air 3S is brilliant
nice review does the quick shots shoots at 4k and dlog?
Excellent review mate!
Glad you liked it
Is the Air3s worth upgrading from a mavic 2 pro?
have same question...
Ordered through Amazon UK while they have stock. Should be here tomorrow. Do you think they will make it compatible with the goggles 3?
Yes I would think via firmware
Should i sell my mavic 3 classic and switch to the new air 3s
I did that for the air 3 so for sure do it for the air3s
@@DMProductions and do you think D-log will come on the air 3s or it will stay D-log M?
