You’ve been told this a million times, I don’t care I’ll say it too: You make the most enjoyable, well narrated and cinematic gear reviews in the planet. Thank you for your time and for doing this.
You are a very kind man. I admire your honesty and insights. It takes courage to make yourself so vulnerable about your personal life on a social media channel. I'm guessing that it can be scary and cathartic all at the same time. Your love for your kitties is heartwarming and the respect that and love that you show for your father is fabulous. I know that its been a difficult year for you. My hope for you is the pain will lessen as the new year goes by and that you will treasure the best things in your life. Best wishes. Just a month before Air 3s announced I sold my Mavic 3 Cine, so I was lucky. I knew Air 3s is going to be quite close to Mavic 3 in terms of image quality plus it has a 70mm camera. There aren't any Air 3s review other than yours that goes deep into sharpness setting and post-production options you can apply with the tools like Film Convert. I think Air 3s is a good buy after selling my Mavic 3 and it saves thousands of dollars! P.S. I've lost my father a month ago too... So, again, my condolences Philip.
Thank you for another great drone review Philip. It's funny how your drone videos are more or less the only ones that show how these drones can be used for creative, artistic film making, while still having room for the technical details. With most other drone videos, I tend to skip to the conclusion after 5 minutes of watching. With yours, I prepare a cup of good coffee and some biscuits before I sit down to enjoy a review that in itself is a piece of art. Well done!
Hell yeah, been waiting for this one. As soon as the Air 3S dropped and all the influencers were tripping over themselves to upload the same minute the NDA lifted, I started looking forward to the Philip Bloom review. Thank you!
Mr Bloom is a master craftsman and cinematographer, when I see he has something to say I click straight away. As something of a cat aficionado myself I love how he includes the fur family whenever he can. As a hobbyist Air 2S and A7S3 owner I love how he shows what these things are capable of. The message doesn't care about the route it took to reach you, but the quality of the presentation will determine the influence it has on you. Thank you Philip.
Thanks Henry, much appreciated. Wish I could have included more of the cats in it. In case you didn’t know I have a dedicated cat channel. 😀 ua-cam.com/users/onemanfivecats
@@philipbloom This will be my first Christmas in 20 years without at least one cat to buy me a pair of socks. But plenty of folks have it worse, so chin up and let's all be kind.
@@philipbloom They know this and love you. I have a good friend with a decent size property in the Margaret River region of Western Australia, would you be interested in a visit? Those kind of your reviews are just so lovely to watch - it´s a lot of useable information embedded into stunning visuals - keep on doing this Phil, thank you!
Master Philip, it does not matter what you gear you review it is a masterpiece! Please keep us entertained. If you can, please give us more vids on filmmaking, your style is awesome. I learn a lot from you. Thanks
Great video Philip - there are some fantastic take-aways in this review - whilst I still have my Air2s as my main drone its getting a little tired - thank you so much for sharing your wonderful cine stories!
If you would make a review about your jacket for one hour long I would still watch it! I has been mentioned already, you make by far the best gear reviews on UA-cam.
Lovely work as usual Philip. I usually consume this type of content on my phone when the kids have gone to bed. But your reviews are always cast to the tv as they are beautiful little stories. Keep up the good work mate 🤙
Best review out there. Stunning shots, presenting and colour throughout. Happy Christmas to you, the cats and your family mate. (dated this comment too)
First off, my condolences! just a few seconds of footage made my heart cry. further more.. nice video with lots of info to store in my confused brain. The air 3S is the one for me.
Another beautifully shot review Phillip. I have a damaged Air2S & was wondering if I should repair it or upgrade. If I can get close to the quality of your shots I’ll be very happy with an Air3S especially with that 70mm camera.
Hello Philip. Wonderful explained. I am only a beginner, I like drones more for flying fun, obstacle avoidance, active track... You are the expert. I have also the Air 3 S. And good videos and images are also important. Some drone experts / photo experts on UA-cam said in categorie images / fotos the Air 3 s is bad / catastrophe or something like that. No Anti Alaizing filter, lots of moire, not detailed enough... Please give me your detailed opinion for the Air 3 S ( only categorie images / fotos and not videos ) and in addition in cstegorie videos: Lower bitate Air 3 S lower quality of videos especially when you fly fast and moving the camery gimbal... Some people said, lower bitrate is a problem... Perhaps you can give me a better feeling having a good drone also in this things. Thank you Philip.
Other UA-camrs rush to put out a video on the day of the PR drop to catch the wave. Philip spends weeks to bring out the most trustworthy and informed videos for potential buyers. This is why I avoid all reviews until I see his.
I did my review and comparison vs. the mavic 3 pro on my little pixpro blog and I found myself claiming the the 1inch+f1.8 combo gathers more overall light than the m4/3+f2.8 1x module on the Mavic 3 Pro (everything else being equal light gathering is the only metric for image quality after all). The difference is small, but I think that might just make it the best flying camera there is. Yes the Mavic 3 Pro has a bit more video modes and the 7x module, but Air 3S overall has become my favourite drone too. Goddamn do I agree that we should drop the outdated sensor size "names". The equivalent focal lenght, but not the aperture grinds my gears as well.
Beautiful video !! splendid ! - Did you shoot on auto or pro mode ? - Did you also had issue with moire/aliasing effect on roof or other geometric lines ? some people say that it's an huge issue on this model.... Again very beautiful work.
Just wonderful as always - beautiful shots. Im finishing the review as well soon. 1" does makes a difference in low light situations compared with air 3. But with the lidar, you can achieve shots, that was very difficult before 😉
Air 2S owner: 3.5 years & DJI still hasn’t made a drone that makes me want to upgrade. A 70mm lens would be nice, but I cannot give up 5.4k video. Especially now that I shoot on a GH6 at 5.8k. It is RARE that a single clip on my timeline doesn’t have some repositioning work done. I just can’t go back to 4k, ever. Even cropping in over 4k looks cleaner than it does with a 4k image, providing even more versatility. Excellent video as always of course.
@ oh I do. You got me on Topaz, Film Convert, and Neat video, ha. But processing every clip I want to use is time intensive work. It’s the only way I use the Osmo Action cams I have or cellphone footage. The image is definitely falling behind on the Air 2s, but still just not enough of a step for my wants / needs. (Helps that I rarely use it.)
It's always a great pleasure to watch your videos. Cinematic feel, in a simple product presentation!! By the way, I would like your opinion: The Air2s with 1 inch, can record 5k files. The Air series (3 & 3s) can record ONLY 4k files. Is this an "improvement"? Greetings from Greece 👍
Fantastic and thorough review as always Philip. I do have one question (regarding photography). I recently picked this drone up myself and when I shoot 5 shot AEB with the 50MP setting it is incredibly slow to write the files to the card (and internal drive) is this just me, or is there a solution to this? I can't even switch camera or adjust settings while it does this and it can take up to 10 seconds to save, where as my Air2S was almost instant.
Thank you. Unfortunately 50mp (and 48mp) is painfully slow to process/ write to the card. I’ve no idea why. It’s been the same with most of their recent drones.
its true what they say - u make the best vids - i wish you would do another mzed anything - i loved the first one - maybe a plugin piece? anyway thanks....
Ah yes the pure art review by Philip Bloom. Probaly gonna never but this drone cuz I'm poor as duck, but non then less gonna watch this with pleasure. Cheers
