I have my own interpretation :- The modern woman is perpetually and simultaneously between the states of empowerment and victimhood. It is for her to decide which state benefits her the most in any given circumstance.
My great-uncle told me once before he passed: "You're unique. Not special." That distinction has been shaping me a lot recently, and more people need to hear this.

I don't understand how she can say she's "assigned female at birth", which is really distancing language from her own body and identity, while at the same time, she's claiming special status for being female.
it also completely destroys her story after that because the intended implication of that phrase is that its an arbitrary decision made by the doctor, in which case all her mother would've had to do was tell the doctor she's indian and would like a boy lol

Lily's approach towards "equal" treatment is why I, as a woman, have extreme, deep-seeded self-esteem issues. I rarely, if ever, got negative feedback on anything I did growing up. I can't remember more than one teacher who gave me useful negative feedback. I always thought that any awards I got were because I was a woman, not because I worked hard to gain, hone, and apply skills. My grades felt inflated and I felt like I was put on a different, lower expectation level than my male peers. I'm in college now and still can't truly determine if my accomplishments are mine or because someone else decided that it was a woman's turn to be accomplished. It's evil and I don't want to continue this cycle of degradation for younger generations of boys and girls alike.
I had a guy get mad at me cuz i resented him for being an affirmative action college pick. Found a post of his where he got an a on a project that he says he should have got an "f" on. It still didnt hit him when i pointed out this doesn't happen to white males.

Possibly with No. 6, 10, 11, 16 & 17) For those who are perplexed about No. 1-5, google search for images of Saweetie or blac chyna or sumn idk These flags could be a result of insecurities, emotional and/or mental immaturity, childhood emotional neglect, attention/validation seeking, attachment issues, etc. Observing people's personalities, character and behaviours rather than focusing on their 'physical attractiveness' is a good way to overcome the halo effect. This is a golden comment. Men do not complain, men just act and solve problems, while Lilly like feminist will continue to cry and blame others even if she has everything.
I never tire of people with more money than my family will see in five generations telling me how evil and terrible I am for oppressing them. That goes double when it's someone who comes to my culture, my country, made great by my people, and cries about how awful we are because we made them rich.
Equality only when it benifits them. The feminist movement is not happy about women being in combat duty in the military. They want Equality with pay. So how many women work in the oil rigs and construction lifting over 100 pounds of concrete for 10 hours a day.
The people that worked in the clinic I was born in saw that I had male genitalia and knew I was male. Because ist is ans was observable reality. My parents were even forced to give me a second name because my first name wasn‘t making my gender obvious enough for the standards back then.
When my wife gave birth to our first child, a daughter, my parents were so excited to have a granddaughter (with my brother only having two sons at that point). @@aussiewanderer6304 Well, I mean maybe you're right about the females being favored more, but to me it sounds like just speculation without really being able to be 100% sure if that's really the case. I mean if she was the first girl, you can argue that it would make sense for them to be in seemingly more excitement because two boys were already born. And unless your mother in law didnt drop everything for the boys as well, then its just overanalyzing your specific situation. Not to completely discredit what you're saying, that's your experience. I'm just dissecting it a bit and bringing up whether there is some favoritism to some degree with boys and girls in your situation or just what you might perceive. I love how she said as a woman she desperately wanted a seat at the table while she gives a TED Talk which is quite literally the embodiment of having a seat at the table!
Her woke late night show was cancelled after 2 seasons due to terrible ratings. Wiki gives only her PC "critics" rating on RT (82%) omitting the audience rating (15%). At the bottom, IMBD is mentioned: "it received divisive reviews from the audience. The show had a 1.6 rating on IMDb". Remember, If a woke show gets 1.6/10 from the audience, it's "divisive"
They paid for so much awful unpopular content because it's propaganda material. They'll be pushing it onto foreign audiences to ruin foreign countries where they might take her seriously.
I don't think they mean "divisive" as in "the audience was divided". By "divisive" leftists mean that your opinion offends someone (leads to "division") and strays from leftist dogma. A "divisive" opinion is one "you should not have" in leftist view. They just don't want to say outright (yet): "you can't have such an opinion", so they say "divisive", "unacceptable" (Trudeau) etc

@@Martyn_Wolf I think the quote goes "When you're accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression." Very ironic how I keep hearing feminists use that quote.
The ANZ commercial was a flashback to my childhood. When my sister and I worked for my grandmother to clean the yard, my sister got upset that I was paid more. Grandma explained to her that I worked longer than she did and completed the tasks; therefore, I was paid more. My sister would often run inside the house when the gnats bothered her too much while working outdoors. In her mind, we did the same work, and she thought it was unfair that we did not get the same pay. She blamed the gnats, instead of herself, for quitting all the time and not completing her tasks that I had to finish for her. Don’t me get started on the quality of the work!
Sometimes it pays off too. I worked as a valet and would always run to the cars to go faster obviously. The manager decided to hire 2 slightly overweight women who refused to go faster than a brisk walk. The people waiting for their cars saw all of this that I was doing the work of both of them and would tip me more and say not to split it. Normally if I was working with equals and were all working hard I wouldn't pocket anything but that seems fair to me they didn't earn it.
Peak advise about raising a child, never give a children everything that they want as they will grow irredeemably spoiled. And if you don't believe me, just go and look at modern "empowered" womans.
Exactly. Also, it makes the child never grow up and learn to be an adult and do things for themselves. It also makes it harder for them to deal with NOT getting everything they want, it makes them into a snowflake. I can confirm that personally from experience, because I was like that in middle school, I had to learn the hard way (through losing a lot of friends and social status) that you don't get everything you want, and life isn't fair nor what you want it to be, it is what it is. I had to accept reality on it's terms and actually start trying at life instead of sitting around crying and wishing things were different. That took the entirety of 7th-8th grade for me to realize and start moving on and trying to improve things though, even now I still struggle with complaining too much instead of actually fixing things, and hanging around a friend that likes complaining doesn't help either, but you have only yourself to blame for your problems, nobody else, and that's a truth that I wish more people saw.
Well said. Life is not going to care about your identity, your self esteem, or your feelings. If they don’t have to earn anything or face consequences for misbehavior, you get the mess that we are seeing today in society.
Sadly, I'm a chemistry major, and I even see this shit seeping into STEM with all these initiatives geared towards minorities and women because they're so oppressed. If you're a man, and especially a white man, you're treated as contemptible.

Mysoginist.
I feel SO betrayed by TED talks... I used to be a huge fan. I really took that motto personally and tried to share it as much as I could. When it all started, it was about scientists, engineers, philosophers, whatever, but they were experts on their subjects. They had put a lot of effort into condensing any difficult topic into a presentation that could inspire adults to keep learning and infants to follow those leaders. It was pure gold. Nowadays, it's simply cringy. I don't know what the fuck happened. But I now regret spending so many hours of my time. I feel they hooked me up with interesting topics first to then quietly switch into political propaganda. Knowledge has nothing to do with fucking politics! You first learn, and then you take decissions. You must have a critical point of view, take what you understand and try to elaborate on it. The moment they turned the scientific approach into manipulation. They commited a crime against humanity.
Me too. I used to be 12/13 when they came out and all the speakers had so much thought provoking and now I'm just confused. Regular dumb people do TEDx talks now. Having something to say, doesn't mean you need to have a platform.
How can she say that she was annoyed at headlines saying “bisexual woman of color” but then took every opportunity she could to say “I ain’t a straight white man.”

Hardly surprising that it's rare. Liberal 101 is taking unusual circumstances and using it to stereotype large groups. But a gender studies major from the UK interviewed the men and they weren't remorseful, therefore all men everywhere are just predators waiting for an opportunity.

Lilly Sighn is a perfect example of what happens when a children believe until adulthood the lie that everyone is special. Nobody is born special, how special you are only measures to how much work you dedicate into developing yourself.

“A seat at the table” - lets use a catchy metaphor that sounds vague and makes us seem like women are missing out, without really explaining what it means and what having a seat at the table would look like. Its because they want it to sound like they dont currently have equal opportunity, when they know they do, and their end goal is equity - getting equal gender representation in high powered jobs and positions without having to earn it.
"Why does he get 5 dollars?" "because that's how it is" So you're telling me that you, a woman, in your own house bow to the imaginary wage gap by paying your son more?
Lily Singh is the worst. I'm not talking strictly about her "comedy." She is wealthy comes from a "privileged" family. She has many legs up on the majority of humanity, yet her stock and trade is her claimed "victimhood," and she does it shamelessly.
Her whole routine is "my problems started when I was born a woman". That's half of the world's population. She's in the lucky few who were born into a 1st world country with opportunities and a decent family. She was born with the luck that the vast majority of people don't get but apparently we should feel sorry for her

"Social panhandling" is such a perfect phrase for what these entertainment industry hacks do. They're not even trying to get a laugh. They're trying to get pats on the back for how virtuous they are.
I have a seat at the table. It's to my husband's left. And the table is one I refinished and it's covered with home-cooked food. The table doesn't need to be changed. It should have a happy man who can sit down and look back at his family and eat in peace. He should have the head seat since he is the bread winner and is the king of the house. He shouldn't have to set it, clean it, or make the food that goes on it. He shouldn't have to worry about his children and their education or bills. Men should be honored at that table and God should be thanked for all of us together. Lillys table has day old Chinese food on it, boxed wine and cat hair.
If I see Ted and there is a feminist complaining about their lives one more time, I will blow a gasket. Women all the time tell us to shut the heck up and deal with our issues, but they are allowed to get up at events like this and talk about themselves all the time saying how they cannot get a date or how being a woman is harder while ignoring the reality they are on a TED stage talking about themselves and they have an audience listening and the audience members can get thrown out under threat of heckling.
I agree but expect that one feminist who stand up and listen the problems of her enemy, Men's rights activist. Unlike the other feminist, she stood up for men and use her voice the struggles that men suffers from her community.
My favorite thing about this channel is the fact that he also shows people's strengths and shows how they can use those strengths rather then criticising them the entire video.
Part of her problem is that in her late night show, the audience was cued to laugh, which gave her a false confidence. Real comics have to find out what jokes land in front of a live audience but UA-camrs don’t have that instant feedback. She comes across amateur and likes she’s trying too hard. I used to watch her all the time back like 6 years ago and she was so different back then! If you look at her old vlogs she was chill and kinda like a tomboy. She had a lot of guy friends so she didn’t always hate men and wasn’t bisexual back then either. Her whole brand was being positive, unicorns and rainbows. I love how she said as a woman she desperately wanted a seat at the table while she gives a TED Talk which is quite literally the embodiment of having a seat at the table!

At the bottom, IMBD is mentioned: "it received divisive reviews from the audience. The show had a 1.6 rating on IMDb". Remember, If a woke show gets 1.6/10 from the audience, it's "divisive"

Did your sister ever grow out of this and understand the principle of equality?
