Extra points for the people who noticed that Dr. Joel Kahn cited a psychiatrist when he talked about the colleague who said that there were no randomized trials for the carnivore diet. Apparently a psychiatrist can know stuff about nutrition.

I studied on my own and now I'm a highly sought-after software engineer with three years of experience, earning six figures. I don't GIVE interviews, I INTERVIEW college graduates from top colleges here. Degree is just a piece of paper that you can wipe you a$$ with.
I literally became a software engineer by reading articles as a kid. It's very easy to underestimate what smart people can do if you're on the other side of the curve.
I became a mechanic through reading. One day my dad came over when I was in the middle of a repair and asked me how did you learn how to do this? (Pre internet me: reading.)
There are things that you can't learn just from reading, you do need practice to get the physical motions down. Could be anything from practicing surgery to firing a rifle. But the theory behind those motions, the reasons why you do things in a certain way and what way to do them, yeah, that can all come out of books. I think when a lot of people think of becoming educated, they assume you have to listen to someone give lectures and answer questions. They seem unable to grasp the idea that a book is just a lecture that's been written down, and when it's done properly it answers all the same questions a professor might forget to address in their lecture. I've had some good teachers over the years, but I've still learned far more from my own readings than any from teacher.

Nah she doesn’t lack common sense she knows exactly what she’s doing. She’s trying to intimidate him and confuse him so he fumbles in someway so in the end since she’s the only one who spoke loudly and firmly, subconsciously people would think she’s the one who has the most knowledge in the conversation. She’s actively trying to break down his authority by making him look like the weaker, unsure individual in the conversation hence, she pauses for the smallest time so he can try to say something but she cuts him again before he even speaks a full word to make him look dumb. She has a very specific agenda and isn’t there for compromise or to understand the other side.

And not just any judge, but a fat one. Who are you going to listen to in matters of diet and nutrition, a fat judge, or a lean doctor who has spent years reading through published papers to figure out nutrition (and even wrote a book as a compendium of his research)?
I tend to lean towards seasonal paleo myself. I rotate depending on craving and try to mantain dietary diversity and listen to my body. Never seemed all that complicated🤷♂️ but I always mantain a consistant animal sourced protein base. Also people are wildly different in their dietary requirements. I often wonder if the increasing prevalence of psorisis, eczema and other now common skin diseases and many allergies aren't just another result of the over-medication, over-diagnosis and the mis-medication of certain demographics who will buy whatever you sell them. But what do I know? I'm not an "expert" mouth-hole who's funded by Big Pharma and the FDA. 🤷♂️
Lawyers like her exist. In the courtroom being argumentative does not equate to being a skilled lawyer. If any lawyer misbehaved the way she did, they will quickly be debarred by the bar council of the state for grave professional misconduct.
@Mark Park Critical thinking isn't really a woman's strongest suit. Which explains why feminists are always trying to create laws that are detrimental to society including themselves.
Probably why she doesn't practice law anymore. Anyone who goes through as much law as you need to become a judge and then decides to go on a talk show either went into it for the wrong reasons, had buyers remorse once they got into that position, or were so bad at their jobs they had to be removed. My guess is that particular judge was such a shytshow as a judge that she needed to be forced out. Which is really saying something because I've seen quite a few really bad judges in my time.
Funnily enough, the answer is still no. You need to learn HOW to interpret statutes. You also need to learn how to interpret case laws with said statutes.

Could also just be not eating processed foods. Are you eating fast food all the time as well? Based on the few people I've seen change their diet quite a bit over the years due to medical reasons, I think if you don't eat a balanced diet, then you have to change everything to get those nutrients that you were missing. Apparently other people who go on the carnivore diet need to take vitamin supplements for the vitamins they don't get through meat and some people have annoying side effects like migraines and diarrhea from eating only meat long term. If our bodies were supposed to live off only one food (plants or meat) then I'm sure that would have been very obvious by now. But people couldn't get all the nutrients their bodies needed by only eating plants, which made them start hunting animals. I don't think there was ever a real debate about this until more recent. But I think the changes people are seeing is just them cutting out processed foods. If you ate home grown plants that didn't have chemicals sprayed on them and ate animals you raised on a farm and didn't inject growth hormones in them, you'd feel just as good.
Also of note, everyone has different enzyme combinations in their stomach. Hence why some are lactose intolerant, some have glucose intolerance etc. Thus, this would be an interesting area of inquiry if serious research was ever done on why some diets work well for people.
Imagine studying for over 8 years to become an MD, learning about how the human body FUNCTIONS from top to bottom. And then you're here being spat at by some aggressive celebrity judge simply because the true narrative doesn't fit her beliefs and a doctor who believes she's smarter than you because she's been doing the same job for a bit longer.

I’m a university graduate, but I’ll be the first to admit that you absolutely do not need a formal degree in something to be an expert on it. With the amount of information that’s readily available today, anyone can become well versed in a subject through time and effort. An argument through “authority” simply doesn’t work.
Smart take! Exactly what I say. Also, how do you define what an expert is in the first place? Somebody with a diploma or certification of some kind? There are millions of people that have degrees that don't understand very much about anything. There are also many people with degrees and certifications that have poor questioning skills and half or more of what they learn is not true, but misinformation.
The “appeal to authority” is causing the majority of our problems in society. Too many people don’t understand how to question and think critically, they just want to trust the “experts”
Not only do you not necessarily need a formal degree to become an expert, there's plenty of people who got their degree one way or another but simply don't have the knowledge or skill to truly be an expert at anything. Just because you went to school and partied hard for a few years, then crammed just enough to pass by the skin of your teeth doesn't make you more knowledgeable about a subject than someone who's never taken a course but has an interest in the subject and has been studying it for years. There's also this weird thing where people seem to think experts in one field are knowledgeable in any other. I don't need to hear about climate science from a physicist, a computer engineer isn't the guy I want flying the plane, and I'm not taking stock tips from someone just because they have a degree in law.

This is an older study from 5 years ago but it agrees with your symptoms as it was in it's infancy. Lookup doctors "Ashutosh Mangalam, PhD" and "Howard L. Weiner, MD" and their work comparing diet to MS. I know oxalates play a role for kidney patients as my specialty is nephrology. I am not a gastroenterologist, but I wish I could help.
@@rustyshacklefordspocketsqu8162 Dear Sir, you are mistaken. Everyone technically has a leaky gut to some degree. I agree with you that you can make it worse by damaging the biome but it can't really be destroyed. It is actually genetically coded to you, through your mother, at birth. Fun fact, your own feces can be used as manure to grow crops as long as only you or your immediate family eat them as you share genetically similar gut microflora. Every time you poo, most of that is the dead microflora that converted what you ate into useful energy and products for you to live. Everything after that, is mind-blowing wrong. You clearly don't understand that yeast is fungus. You also clearly don't understand that fungus and "food particles" don't leak into the blood as you don't understand how digestion works. If certain vegetables cause the reactions you describe, that is anaphylactic shock and is a severe reaction to a specific trigger, such as tree nuts, certain legumes like peanuts, shellfish, etc. You should be tested for those to know to avoid them. The rest of your discussion is sporadic and hard to follow. You have fungus and bacteria living all over and in your body. They balance each other and provide necessary functions for each other and you. You are a giant city and they are some of the tiny specialized citizens. If one of them grows out of control, it causes a city (you) disruption until it is back under control. Some people may be 50/50 fungal/bacteria; others 20/80 fungal/bacteria. Everyone has a different homeostasis. You are an individual and your 5 holistic healers may have meant well, but they clearly don't understand microbiology or human anatomy. I hope you find your way back to real science, but if you don't, I wish you well on your journey.
Plants exist on a toxicity spectrum. All plants have chemical compounds, to varying degree, which can provoke an immune response and/or have a medicinal/therapeutic effect. Only a few plants can be utilized as a viable source of food to supplement human sustenance. These are benign types of plants that can be eaten raw or minimally cooked or processed to reduce toxic effects. Other plants have more concentrated toxins and these can be used as medicine, for a set time, to treat a specific ailment and achieve a desired effect, or to provoke a temporary state within the body. But they offer very little in the way of nutrition and are low in sustainable caloric energy. A prolonged vegan diet will be damaging to the body in various ways over the long-term. Plants contain varying types and levels of antinutrients. These include: Lectins, saponins, gluten, oxalates, solanine, tannins, isoflavones, phytates, furanocoumarins, nitriles, phytoecdysones (plant hormones and mimics that disrupt animal hormonal balance), endocrine disruptors, coumestans, sulphites, protease inhibitors, amylase inhibitors, trypsin inhibitors, glucosinolates (goitrogenic compounds), isothiocynates, indoles, chaconine, salicylates, polyphenols, biogenic/vasoactive amines, lignans, mycotoxins (molds/fungal growths found in nuts, seeds, legumes and grains including: alfatoxins, vomitoxins, fumonisin, ochratoxin, deoxynivalenol and, zearalenone), trichothecenes, ergot alkaloids, benzoates, cyanogenic glycosides, photosensitizers, glutamate additives, and liver P450 enzyme disruptors.

Between this and certain people saying that the future will have most people in the world eating bugs and drinking sewage, there's got to be some sort of agenda being pushed to stop people from eating meat. Maybe eating meat will make people healthy enough to see what's going on and repair our civilization, and certain interest groups really don't want that to happen.

Humans lived for millions of years on a 90% plus meat diet supplemented with tubers, fruits, leafy greens and vegetables, just look at teosinte and compare it to corn now or even in the 1500's the same can be done with any other non meat source of food. It's near impossible in most biomes to find enough to survive and even if you could find enough in a given area gathering enough would to sustain yourself and your tribe would take far more time than just throwing a rock. I know muh appeal to nature fallacy but I simply don't see how a diet used that long by humans could ever be so bad for your body that a doctor would call it a stupid diet. Just look at skeletons of hunter gatherers compared to farmers till about the 1900's or just look at the musculature and teeth of those few people still holding on to this tradition.

Whenever I see any form of authority telling me I shouldn't be doing something my instant reaction is to ask "why?"; and in this case now I'm very interested in checking out the carnivore diet for myself.
I've been studying diets for quite some time and been on the carnivore diet for a bit more than a year and can say it's quite a powerful diet if you do it correctly. If you eat grass-fed meat, organs, eggs from pasture raised chickens, wild caught fish and raw milk, all nutrients are acquired with minimal inflammatory input on your body. Indeed, the carnivore diet is an anti-inflammatory diet which I used to heal my skin disease and gut issues. I recommend watching Primal Edge Health too.

actually even muscle meats have enough nutrients in them. The thing is on the carnivore diet you get no fiber, which means that the fiber doesn't absorb some of the nutrients and expell them, it means that the bioavailability of the nutrients you intake is improved A LOT

Reading is underrated. On the job is great but fairly anecdotal. Why not harness 1000's of on the job experience through literature.
On a side note I was really sick and have been doing the carnivore diet for 6 months and I feel amazing. Not scientific but it means something to me.
Interesting and good that it worked for you. My sister feels better with a vegan diet because that works for her.
Watch a Jordan Peterson daughter Mikayla Peterson talk about her "lion diet"
Good for you. - Maybe it was carnivore diet, maybe it was eating less sugary, processed foods. Tip: if it was made in a factory, don't eat it.
That's exactly why I tell people to eff off when they say, "You can't talk about psychology. You aren't a certified therapist." It's frustrating to see all these so-called "fellow scientists" ignore the basic protocol that foregoes proving a hypothesis right or wrong. Instead, they overreach for a conclusion that's in line with their bias.
Yeah, but the reason they say that so often is because they are telling a lot of lies (particularly regarding health and nutrition), so they use the 'trust science' slogan to make the claim that their science cannot be disputed (and anyone who does is somehow deranged).
When you actually look under the surface, most of the scientific studies they want us to believe don't even exist (such as saturated fat causing heart disease, they tried their best to get the results they wanted, and couldn't do it, so those studies got downplayed or buried).

I'm pretty's sure they took off the dislike button so people can't see how much bs these "doctors" are saying. 🤦🏽♂️
If you want to view the like/dislike ratio there is an extension called "Return UA-cam dislikes"
It's so government propaganda and big corporations don't have to suffer from the ire of public opinion
use the extension for chrome or firefox
They did a trial for it after Joe biden got elected and every video of him got murdered with dislikes. Then they slowly integrated it in like a cancer.
The dislikes were removed for Brandon's sake.
This show wasn’t aired for the purpose of a fair debate, it was supposed to attack and vilify people with opposing ideas. Idk why anyone is surprised by the level of unprofessionalism. It’s a circus. Hope most people don’t get their facts from this type of media. It’s like getting relationship advice from 90 day fiancée. It’s just a fiasco and it was hard to endure tbh.

Oh I remember Paul's appearance on that show... The best measurement on that panel would be fat percentage and muscle mass to show who got it right.
BTW on Carnivore diet for about 2 years now. Doing fine.
@@miotyuori7331 I wish I could remember the TV show i watched which explaining how cult members became more easily indoctrinated and brainwashed once they were switched to a strictly plant based diet.
@@jeremysears4263 I find people who eats plants more submissive and quiet. Once i started eating meat i actually started getting healthy and started giving less fucks how i forgot the dishes for 1 day when my parents had a whole week to fix that when I was away. I'm pretty sure spending years reviewing high level material is... exactly how someone becomes an expert
It's not like she spent years locked away reviewing papers and reading works to get her LAW DEGREE, lol.
As an attorney, what makes you an actual law expert, lol? You have a juris doctorate, but what have you ACTUALLY done?
This is why I don't watch cable TV. It's all staged programming to lead you to just believe on a certain point of view and not question it like a wild animal. I'm glad for your channel existing, you're helping people critically think for themselves.
exactly, anytime you hear the logic pushed listen to the experts understand these experts are just liberal graduates parroting the narrative the people wanted you to hear. it's sad but I feel like the public today can get more accurate information doing research themselves than trusting these so call experts. definitely a loss of public trust in many of these institutions.
I had to visit a relative and they had the cable TV streaming out its propaganda 24/7. I was just thinking wow you are ingesting this crap so often it's no wonder you believe the way you do.

This is so surreal. It's like watching an Adult Swim show but it's taking place in my reality.
Anyone getting that emotional when debating their argument should always be questioned. That guy flailing his body around was just embarrassing. It's like he couldn't defend his point with words so he had to resort to being loud and using exaggerated body movement.

By the way, yes eating a diet consisting of beef, fat and eggs actually does he’s the body of inflammatory ailments and diseases. I can truly vouch for Dr. Salidino.
Whenever I see any form of authority telling me I shouldn't be doing something my instant reaction is to ask "why?"; and in this case now I'm very interested in checking out the carnivore diet for myself.
It has positively changed my life over the last few months since I started
I've been studying diets for quite some time and been on the carnivore diet for a bit more than a year and can say it's quite a powerful diet if you do it correctly. If you eat grass-fed meat, organs, eggs from pasture raised chickens, wild caught fish and raw milk, all nutrients are acquired with minimal inflammatory input on your body. Indeed, the carnivore diet is an anti-inflammatory diet which I used to heal my skin disease and gut issues. I recommend watching Primal Edge Health too.
Exactly -quality of the meat source matters. not to mention plenty of meat heavy cultures who have been eating that way for years without tons of ill effects-and that dr was bugging out like it was crazy and unheard of to eat meat heavily

I know the Inuit, Mongolians & Natives Siberians that survives only or mainly on meat. They look strong & healthy.
Vegetation can be seasonal & scarce. We couldn’t colonize Arid/cold areas otherwise. We were part of an ecosystem once & our ancestors couldn’t be picky about their food source. Also i read that fat proteins are good for the skin. We eat a lot of meat on my country & never had a pimple on my adolescence. Time I had bad skin, it’s when I started eating less healthy. I starting consuming fat proteins again my skin is getting better.
Gotta be super expensive though?
actually even muscle meats have enough nutrients in them. The thing is on the carnivore diet you get no fiber, which means that the fiber doesn't absorb some of the nutrients and expell them, it means that the bioavailability of the nutrients you intake is improved A LOT

The legally-protected, professional term is: Dietician, NOT "nutritionist" - ANYONE can call themselves a "nutritionist", NOBODY gets a degree in "nutrition-ism"
The degree hanging on my wall from a four year university is in "Food & Nutrition," but otherwise yes you're right. Anyone can technically call themselves a nutritionist, Dietician is for having a degree and going through the official accreditations.
@@waaurufu would you call yourself a foodist and nutrionist then? Wouldn't it be inaccurate to just say nutritionist at that point? Or maybe just foodist?

Dr. Salidino is always using studies in his podcasts, and he debates and discusses many different topics with different people. He also advocates for people to eat foods that don’t trigger their bodies, and he isn’t going around and saying all plant foods are bad. He himself eats fruit, but he couldn’t get a word in edge wise with these hard-headed, defensive people. These people acted like he was a rampaging child who they had lost control of and, since he challenged their narrative, they wanted to reel him back into their hive mind. These people HATE independent thinkers and critical minds. How dare you do independent research, but you have to do independent research before we believe you, but you can’t do independent research because you can’t think for yourself: hive mind 100%.
