If I wanted to learn video game mechanics like make some great gameplay, where should I learn to do that?? I know softwares are good at specific stuff or vst or whatever it is idk, I’m coming from a music side, I’m tryna switch to game mechanics. But I don’t want no clonky bullshit learning I’m tryna make some astounding art:fluidity in the gameplay.

You can learn it from us 👍 we teach all fundamental mechanics for third person movements and attack move-sets as well as how to utilize both key frame and motion capture movements and how to bring those animations to Unreal.
@@andycarrillo48 bro making games is hard, to do what you said you need to learning rigging, animation, if you have the money you can try mocap solutions, as well as learn how to use UE5. You need to pick a career and focus in it (animator, 3D modeller, environmental artist, character artist/designer, rigger, game programmer, etc)
There are no muscles shown, our subconscious pics up on them but non are shown in the ai
It would be cooler if it could replicate emotions from someone who could actually act, I feel like the tech is great but it’s not good enough to get subtleties in facial expressions. That’s why all the actors we see doing mocap for facial expressions overexaggerate their acting
That’s true, even with these more advanced tools it will still come down to the acting and performance choices 👍

Great to make animation easier.
But I think trying to aim for too much 'realism' is what ruins modern gaming. Style is better than realism. I thought the original Hellblade was perfect. Senua felt more real than most real people lol and it wasn't just the graphics. It was everything coming together.
I wish more effort was put into making games fun and interesting than trying to make them realistic.
Def agree stylization will be critical to stand out from the uncanny valley and connect with audiences.
Exactly, realism is an artform best left to artists. Stylised fits the medium much better

Aim for iPhone 12 at least for best results. Some of the newer iPhones are not as good as the 12 from some tests, so it’s not too critical to get the absolute latest for the captures 👍

She’s exaggerating her facial expressions way too much. I know she’s trying to show off the new technology on how it can track every inch of her face, but with a hyper realistic face, and uncanny mediocre facial animations it looks uncanny.
This is why vtubers use iphones

Not tryna hate but maybe it’ll be better if they used the animation for context while doing the real-time facial expression bc these were all kinda not what I expected to see, the facial expressions suck they are not artful to me.
It’s almost like a recording artist making a song, if the feeling isn’t there, then the song sucks sorta. We can tell what is missing. We don’t wan no generic ass song to the point it’s bland, jsut like video games.
