I bought the Dyson Airwrap as soon as it hit the market. I have unevenly curly hair. The Airwrap has replaced all my other styling tools. It has also cut my drying/styling time from one hour to 35 minutes while using much less heat. For me, it’s a complete game changer.

I bought this about 3 weeks ago as I have dry and broken and weirdly frizzy/straight/kinda curly kinda not hair. It has no idea and is a nightmare to style especially when I’m trying to reduce the heat damage which is why I took the plunge. I completely agree with you on this. My styling time has been cut significantly, my hair is fine enough that I don’t have to use the highest heat, and I have only used my straighteners once since owning this and that was for a night out, and even that was much less then my normal stying and my hair has never looked this consistently good. I am so happy to have bought this!

Same. My hair is thick, and unevenly wavy/curly/frizzy. Blowing with my GHD and a round brush took 30 mins and produced a fuzzy look that had to be smoothed out with a heat styling tool - curling iron or flat iron adding another 15 to 30 mins to my styling time and tremendous damage. I bought the airwrap smoot+control and in 10 minutes I blow dried my hair with the styling brush with very little frizz. I used the larger curling barrels very quickly and produced smooth bouncy and healthy waves at the bottom. It all took approx 13 minutes in total and my hair has never looked this good. I'm thrilled - less heat less time. Also, I've watched a ton of review videos and I'm surprised at just how many (including this one) are using it all wrong!!

Watched tons of videos and decided to give it a try! I have ultra thick hair so it's still at least a 35+ minute process to dry and "style" with this tool. This certainly beats having a blow dryer for 25 minutes and then styling for another 25. It's much easier to use this one tool than a round brush and a hairdryer. My only issue is that when using the curler, it only picks up a small section of hair. If i curled all my hair.....it would probably be about 40 individual wraps. I've seen videos where ladies have 4 sections and only use 4 wraps! Not me!!
I like this tool so much that I'm considering purchasing the Dyson blow dryer as well. This will help me cut down the wet-to-damp time.
Final note-to give an idea of how thick my hair is, I've only met one other lady in my entire life that had hair thicket than me. When i go to a salon, they uselessly have two blow dyers on me to hurry the process. My professional blowouts take about an hour and 15 minutes, and i've had some go up to 2 hours (inducing wash time). I've also had stylist flat our refuse to deal with my thick hair.

The hair will curl on it sown around the airwrap... you do not need to roll it around like a normal hot curler! :) Just locate it near the ends and will curl on its own! You just getting more tired by doing it in your own way :D

I have the dyson air wrap too and it definitely took some getting used to. The first time I tried it my hair was all floppy and my curls were flowing in different directions than I wanted. Also a tip is I noticed that even for the beach wave look you have to switch the barrel to make sure the arrows are going the same direction you are wanting the wave to go because if not, bits of your hair can get frizzy because the Cowanda effect on the wand is rotating the air the opposite direction. Overall, I love this product and love your channel🤩

I bought it in October and was on the fence. I also bought the blow dryer knowing i would return one. The airwrap went back all i need is a round brush and the blow dryer. For $150 more i wasn’t crazy about it. The only goood thing was using the reg brush attachment it got my hair super straight but than i had to use an iron to put wavesbin it since your hair has to be semi wet. I have super curly hair the blow is AMAZING

I was just at Nordstrom in Century City (Los Angeles), and they had an Airwrap to try! It was great because while I liked the product, I didn't feel like I got $500 worth of enjoyment and utility. Plus, it still made my hair hot, so it didn't seem much less damaging than anything else I would use. Lastly, I have waist length hair, and the wand is short. So I'd have to do my entire head of hair in tiny 1" segments, which would take forever! So I was able to get my obsession over this product out of my system. If you're in the LA area, see if Nordstrom still has it on display for you to try!

This seemed so exhausting lol....Seems like it would take so much longer than just blow drying it and using a straight iron to curl. Or better yet let it air dry and then curl it with a straightener and hold it with hair spray. You have such gorgeous hair though either way but I prefer the way you normally style it:). Agree with it somehow looking dated with the drying and curl. Looked great when you just used it with the curling wand after!

    • @ChristineWhite
      @ChristineWhite 5 років тому +1

You can buy replacement pieces on the site or not get the complete set. I do think it is nice to dry your roots a touch with the other “paddle” brush or the round brush and then use the curling barrels. It means you don’t have to get right against your head with the barrel/heat. On my hair, I don’t need a flat iron on the front pieces because I use the brush to straighten and dry my roots a touch first. Lots of great ways to use the other items depending on hair type!! ... just my opinion though! :)
One other thing is that I use the round brush from my roots first so I use it in a different way than the video showed so that might make a difference! :)

You have to get more tension in it by moving it towards your head and then back out a few times as you curl the whole strand. (If you're using it correctly unlike this lady in the video) 😬
Also totally dry your scalp with the dryer attachment first.
      Hope this helps 😊

Totally agree that if you know how to blow dry your hair with a round brush then this wouldn’t be worth it... plus I don’t want to get my hair stuck in that😩😭

Sam, or anyone else who has this tool.... can you please download any free dB reader app from the App Store and just quickly measure the dB levels of that thing. There are lots of good ones that are free. It sounds SO LOUD. I’m an audiologist and I can tell you if it is registering 85dB or more, it will be damaging your hearing. Permanent damage. So please measure and let me know and then take that into consideration.

What’s the curling iron you use

Always curl the front pieces away from your face not towards your face if that makes sense

@@SamOzkural the instructions will tell you to change out the attachment. You need to follow the arrows. Also, the attachment will help you to wrap the hair around the shaft in the direction of the arrow. You don't need to work as hard at it as you are. I suspect if you follow the instructions, you'll be able to do this faster.

I just can’t make myself pay that much for a curling iron that does everything.. I’m not willing to spend more than $100 max for any hair tool. I am interested in the technology and I’d like to see this product duped but smaller and easier to use, less options and a smaller travel case.
