BRAVO! Finally, someone who REALLY took the time to actually USE the product before giving it a horrible “review”. Between yours and Tati’s updated video, I’m sold 👌🏻 I love the Dyson blow dryer, this is going to come in so handy considering to curl my hair i literally blow dry, straighten and them curl it 😂

I was so frustrated with all the videos of people not using it properly. I disregarded them all and bought it myself. Honestly I find it easy to use but unfortunately the styles do not last on me at all. The curls drop in about half an hour. Tried so many different things - hold products and even pinning the curls too my head to allow them to cool fully. No luck. Even the smoothing and round brush tools don't give me styles that hold.
I think it just depends on your hair type. I really wanted it to work for me because of the minimal heat but it's just not right for my hair.
Charlea any updates with the machine? do u still use it?
Between the supersonic hairdryer and the airwrap with the smooth brush what you choose? As I am in a position to buy only one which is a high expense anyway. I have fine hair, prone to frizz, not interested in curls. I think the hairdryer and a brush would be a better option but I am not mastering the brushing part and the airwrap seems to be a good fit for me (non expert in blow drying or how it is called in English, sorry not my first language) but then I will pay for a lot of accesories that I will not use. Thanks a mil for your advice, been researching a lot, still haven’t made up my mind

I’m only half way through and already want to thank you for understanding the product before leaving a negative review. Puts so many people off buying when the reviews aren’t even using the product correctly it’s so frustrating to watch!

I dont really understand why people are soo angry about the price. I mean they invented a totally new technology which wasnt there before. They probably had to work months and years on this project with lots of people which cost them millions and was risky what if it didnt work out?. So now they have to get their money back.
Also its not a throw away tool its something you have for probably at least ten years.
As a consumer I won't buy this product, because I cant afford it. (I may if I save up.)
As a scientist I do understand that companys need to get their money back and make profit as well.

I agree! Yes it is expensive and sure most people can’t afford it but there was so much research that went to the development of this tool so the price is justified based on that. And for those people who can’t appreciate that - they are certainly welcome to NOT buy this product
Yas! I love Dyson as a brand for being innovative and thinking outside the box. That also adds great value. I can see that!
If you think this is a new technology you have never been to a german hairsalon where they use the same technology with a gadget that is made just for salons. The Coanda-Effect is NOT an invention of Dyson!

This is the best review I've seen for this! I love that you took the time to show full styles with each attachment. Amber Ansah also has a great one if anyone with super thick curly hair is wondering if this can work for you.

Great video and well explained!! There was no fiddling around and a very beneficial video for those of us interested to purchase it. Initially I was put off it due to some “big” UA-camr writing it off just because she had not even read the directions and said bad stuff about it. Now, I am all game!! Thanks, Fleur!! x

Totally your fault I’ve just bought the complete set. I’ve been telling myself for weeks that I don’t need it and the more I’ve watched this video, the more I’ve needed it. 🤣
Wow Fleur, I’ve not taken much notice of either the price or the product, so this is 90% a new product to me. Having watched you using this, I’m really interested in getting one, (although like most people it will take a few months to save for it, as my hubby would never understand why I’d ask him for a hairdryer at this price point), The reason I’d like one is that I have Never been able to style my own hair, to the point of me now just letting it dry naturally and putting it in a ponytail, and at the age of 58, believe me I’ve tried for many many years to find a product to help me. (We did a garage sale in August and I had 17 different hair styling tools on the table, I was appalled at the wast of money I’d spent) So I will be saving to try the dyson, if it works, it will actually be a saving for me as it will be the last hair styler I will buy. xxxx
Watch more review because a lot lot lot lot of people hate it , so maybe you don't have to put this much money on it ( the curl doesn't stay in some kind of hair more than 10 minutes so 1h of working on your hair with no results it's not cool.. )
Mihrican Ozcan thank you so much for your reply to my post, you are right I should watch other reviews, but I think by just watching Fleur and how she used the Dyson it did look like a tool I could use. She did say there were a lot of negative reviews but it was all about how people used the tool right or wrongly. I will watch more reviews though before I purchase the Dyson just to be sure I won’t be making yet another mistake. Thank you again Mihrican x

Elaine, I feel your pain. I am 37 and I have the same issue. I am so frustrated. I paid for picture hair because I can't style my own hair, and then the photographer cancelled 45 minutes before the shoot (and this was the reschedule after we were rained out of the first session), and so I had already been to the salon. I wept. I could not pay for picture hair again and afford the photo session deposit. So my husband scheduled with someone else that weekend so I would still at least get to have our first family photo made while our daughter is still 5, and this of course meant there was no chance of having my hair curled. It curls naturally, but of course does not compare to a blow out and curl. Anyway, had beautiful pictures made, but my hair looks like a shaggy dog with a little weak natural curl going on. So I am sad that I paid for picture hair twice and still had terrble hair for our pictures. Had I just been able to do my own 😞... I have tried everything, except those leave in spiral things that you sleep in. You really need help putting them all in. I am wonderful with my hands and I can do my daughter's hair, but I cannot style my own. I saw a video for this pop up by chance after watching a knitting tutorial, and the woman used it wrong and the results were still impressive. And after watching this one I am convinced I may have finally found my solution. I just have to save up. Maybe the price point will come down some day, but I really am desperate to finally be able to style my own hair, so I doubt I will wait for that. Good luck to you ❤

I bought this about 2 months ago and I love it. Expensive but worth it as my hair is generally uncontrollable and after a lot of thought I went for it. I have not regretted it. It has changed my life. I no longer dread washing my hair and have gotten so many compliments. In all I have probably spent £400 over the years on useless products and tools in an attempt to tame that never worked (and fried my hair stupid in the process). Your video was so informative, I am excited to try the beachy waves as I had no clue about that technique.

Really appreciate all the demos of different styles you can do with it. I haven’t seen anyone do anything outside of the classic curl (to be fair, though, I’ve only seen maybe 3 or 4 reviews). You’re always so fair and thorough.
And I LOVE the idea of this tool, but I can barely afford to feed my chocolate orange addiction right now...I’m with you though, can’t wait to see what Dyson do next (and your inevitable review of it)!

What a brilliant video Fleur! I’ve been so intrigued about this product and have watched a few ‘tutorials’ online.. your review is so thorough and has definitely pushed me over the edge into purchasing!!!
I love this tool. I watched the videos on the Dyson website first before i used it for the first time. I had a perfect set of curls the first time. I got the fine hair set. I use the brush mostly for a straight blow dry and it is salon quality, in 10 minutes or so. I could never ever do my hair properly. I’d dry it, then straightened it, then serum it to get it smooth. It would be OK. I haven’t used my straighteners since I’ve had this. I always feel like i have a good hair day with this. Friends ask me “have you just had you hair done” I feel its that good. I agree with all your comments. This is not a purchasing decision I regret at all. As for the price, well, the technology, the development i guess has to be covered but it is a good quality build. One of the things that has annoyed me most in comments for the reviews I have been watching is people saying how their regular curling iron does the same for much less cost. People are forgetting that part of this technology is how it causes significantly less damage to hair compared to regular curling irons.

Thank you! That's what people aren't getting. I'd rather something that is less damaging to my hair in the long run and still can give me a style, that's where my money will be going- protecting my hair.
Yes you could never do this with that low of heart on traditional devices
And the time it saves you. And the physical energy of having your arms up there for long. And you need less product if you use the cool blast after each curl.
Great product that a lot of peoe have misread.

Fleur, I got my Air Wrap for Mother's Day and was unimpressed after first and second usage. I thought it was overrated and was considering sending it back, but this video showed me all the things I was doing wrong and now I'm OBSESSED! Thank you for researching and practicing for our benefit. 🥰

Finally bought mine, arrived yesterday and haven't used it yet as I needed products. I like this product and feel it is worth the cost as I have damaged shoulders, which means I have issues using my arms above my shoulders. I love my hair dryer, can't wait to use mine tomorrow. I bought this and blooming love it. Now if I don't use it I have how frizzy my hair is. I can't put a price on getting rid of my frizz so this was a no brainer. Plus hubby chipped in significantly as my Christmas present

The best review I’ve watched by far! I was definitely on the fence until I watched you explain all the ways to perfect the styles! I’d never of figured out the Beachy waves ... even the demos from the big retailers didn’t do such an in-depth demo, it’s also great to get an honest review form someone who has bought the product rather than someone who’s been gifted it!

This was the perfect review! I’ve watched you for years and have loved everything you’ve ever recommended (vitalumiere Aqua is my holy grail). I’ve had the same hair tools since 2012 and they were cheap drugstore tools. I’ve been in need of new tools for a few years. Husband decided to get this for me and the price makes sense when you plan on this replacing all your tools! Blow drying my hair has always been my favorite way to style because I have heavy, long hair and need to for the volume! Plus I always limited myself to one tool at a time due to damage, so no blow dry then curl. This tool was the perfect solution!

I love the tool ... but absolutely can not justify the cost. My husband wanted to get this for me for Christmas and I said - don’t be ridiculous.
We have Dyson vacuum cleaners and truly I believe they are the best available. I can spend a good penny on myself easily ... but this is just a hard no. It would have to be half the cost for me to even begin considering purchasing.

Fleur I really admire what you've done here. So many "reviewers" went in guns blazing, reviewed the product without really knowing it and thus slated it which must be so disheartening, not just for the company but for the teams of designers who no doubt have comitted years to the r & d of it. You've provided such an indepth review and have clearly taken the time to understand the product and. It is out of my price range but for someone with the financial, who are perhaps short on time day to day, I think it is an excellent and innovative tool.
I have watched so many reviews of this and decided I definitely wouldn't ever get it. However your video has changed my mind!!! Best review by far!! x
Great review Fleur. I love my dyson. Dyson are the Apple of the beauty world imo. I agree with your points- crazy expensive, but easy and fast to use but curls don't last. It gives me salon hair which was something I could not do at home before. For me, 100% worth the price. If I took it with me on holiday, I would lock it in the hotel safe!

I love this product and it bothers me to see so many bad reviews on it. I highly doubt Dyson would’ve put a product on the market that doesn’t work. They are good at what they do.
I understand people want user friendly products, but you must always follow instructions as to how to operate anything. It’s like getting a pressure cooker and you don’t read the instructions as then, well, have an explosions for not reading them.
And that is where Dyson messed up. They should’ve held an event previously and demonstrated how to use it. Even if they didn’t give them out to influencers. Because, they did give very simple instructions with it.
