Russia released a video today showing them loading a nuclear capable intercontinental ballistic missile into a silo. This is in response to the US giving Ukraine Patriot missile systems and smart kits. Russia insisted last week that it had not gone mad despite spending the past year threatening nuclear war. They are also running low on modern ammunition and may soon have to rely on decades old munitions which are unreliable. In addition to that, one of Russia’s largest oil refineries blew up today.

Kiev is a prime target and with Russia running dry on modern munitions and having to resort to aging and failing ones, they might be desperate enough to go forward with it.

The Russians honestly if you really know don't have the best gear to begin with having to buy their own armor and equipment which isn't military grade to begin with. Compound that with the billions of dollars and weapons and gear provided from the u.s., Russia is effectively being driven back. Just recently they were able to shoot down a Russian su series air superiority fighter which spells bad news for Russia and China because now Britain and the u.s. has their radar tech and can study it to take further advantage. We thought the same as you in Afghanistan, how can they fight against the u.s.? I will say, there is no risk of a nuclear missile exploding if that happened. A nuclear bomb requires a very specific chain of events to explode, which is why intercepting a warhead has little to no risk involved, since destroying it will not cause detonation to occur.
