Awesome video! My banksias haven't bloomed yet and it is my experience that potted plants usually bloom faster than the ones planted in soil, since they use their energy to grow deeper roots than to flower. I make protea videos on UA-cam as well, glad to see other people share their passion and knowledge!
I love your channel! I have grown several Banksia from seed including ericifolia, spinulosa and blechnifolia. They are afew months old and about 2" tall. I grew them indoors in a grow dome with artificial light and they are still in there. I am hoping you can give me some advice on transitioning them to the outdoor environment and what kind of soil mix you recommend as well as what kind of fertilizer works best to help them grow more vigorously. thank you!
U can move them outside now that the plants are 2 inches (or move a few outside as a test) - start with shade and progress to full sun. The video link goes over potting mix - fertilizer.

I love Bull Banksia. Lovely canopy plant in Jarrah Forrest’s around Perth, Aus.
These need well drained sandy soil with lots of sunlight
