I have cycled through the mountains of France for two months, and I camped everyday in this tent. I think the tent is good, but there are some attention points.
The delivered footprint is a bit bigger than the tent. It is best not not hook them to the pole, but to put it underneath the tent.
When the outer door is open, and the inner door is closed there are three identical zip pullers close to each other: two of the outer door, and one of the inner door. It is handier to have these three in different colours.
The two sides are each equipped with a vent hole, and a flap to lead the condensation outside the tent. It is a pity that only the two small side panels of the tent water their condensed water to that vent. The four large main panels lead their water to the four corners of the tent, which can therefore became quite wet by all condensed water.
The tent acted like a real fly catcher: the flies get in the tent, and then try to leave the tent by going to the light. Because the tent is white, they do not go to the door, but go to the brightest spot on the white tent fabric. I had to lure them out with a flashlight when it became dark. The fact that the inner tent door falls complete open when zipped open doesn't help to keep flies out.

Good stuff Martin. I had toyed with the idea of this tent a month or so back, I wouldn’t rule out buying it next, I’m just not sure on single skin tents so I look forward to seeing you test it out. I do like your first impression of it 👍.

Just got this exact tent in green for the wife and I a month ago. It's replacing an old Nemo Galaxi 2p that weighs nearly twice as much. Enjoying it so far, but we are on the smaller/slim side so it works. I wouldn't recommend it for all couples, however.

I have been using this tent for over three years and a single layer tent is also good if kept well ventilated and doesn't have a lot of dripping problems.VIK2 is much better than VIK1.

Hi Martin. Hope you're well. My only advice is be careful with temu. It was reported recently that it's 'very highly likely' that they sell products that used Forced labour. Now I'm not saying the Naturehike tent was, but maybe it's something to be aware of. A quick search of Temu and forced labour will take you to multiple articles about it. I read about it on the BBC. However, it's a great looking tent and great value if if turns out to be as good as it looks. ATB, Martin.

I've got this tent. I like it alot. I'm in Canada so our experiences with weather and this tent will be very different. I've had it in rain a few times. I found that the vent did in fact leak a bit under high winds. I haven't had any condensation issues. Probably just going to keep the vents closed if there is a possibility of rain with high wind. Also found the loop to hang a light from did wick moisture a bit so I applied some sealer to it and that stopped the issue. Overall I'm a fan of this tent. Look forward to hearing your in depth review after you've given it a good test.

i wish this tent had 2 things:
    1. the corners of the bathtub are not sewn into the fly (should have mesh "drainage"), because condensation runs into the bathtub from the fly in the corners
    2. i wish you could use trekking poles to erect at both ends of the cross pole so that the tent is far, far, more sturdy in heavy snow loads and high winds.
if those 2 things were fixed i'd buy this tent in a heartbeat.

Mine is 1.7kg according to my scales, it's a great tent, very easy to pitch and and pack away and can take a beating, condensation is not really a problem in my experience, one of those hidden gems IMHO. By the way, the spare guys are not for the middle pole, they're for the small orange holes on the pole at both ends. It's not a 4 season tent in my experience, too drafty, but is great in warmer weather.

Looks like a great tent. Can't wait to see your views after usage, particularly with regard to condensation, and Irish sideways rain on that air vent. Happy camping

Out of all the reviews on your Channel on Tents This was my Favourite...what a great Tent So easy to put up and not a bad price either....have you seen the American Tent on UA-cam That all you need to do is put it on the ground and pull it up And Click and its ready for use...i think its $400

I have a naturhike star river 2. Used it on a ten day trip and had terrible condensation. Id be very wary of a single skin tent.l, especially in mist or rain.
Basically the star river was a nemo copy but missing decent ventilation.

Great video as always. I actually spotted you at the Tom Crean challenge on Friday night in Patcheen's. I presume you didn't get a chance to make a video this year. The weather was atrocious. There was zero views for the whole journey.
