4 years ago I was diagnosed with HERNIA and I have tried everything I could to heal myself, but it was all to no avail, until I saw a post on a health forum about an herbalist preparing herbal medicines to cure everything type of diseases. including HERNIA , at first I doubted it was real, but decided to give it a try, when I contacted this herbalist through his email and he prepared me a herbal cure for HERNIA and sent it to me via the delivery service of UPS from the company, when I received this herbal cure. , gave me step by step instructions on how to apply it, when I applied it according to the instructions I was totally cured of this deadly disease within 1 months of use, I am now HERNIA free, all thanks to Dr. Joshua Ighalo. You can also contact this great herbalist for help by email: drjoshua.ighalo@gmail.com or contact Dr. through his whats-app: +2348028753934 They also specialize in the treatment of all kinds of diseases, VIRUS HERPES , HEPATITIS B, CANCER, BRAIN DISEASE, INFERTILITY, DIABETES AND MORE.

I just had the robotic assisted umbilical hernia repair w/mesh 2 days ago. Mine turned out to be 15 x 20 cm, where initially they thought it was small per CT. I looked like an 8mo pregnant woman, naval stretched to the size ofa silver dollar, redness w/bubbling tissue behind it. The pain felt extremely deep, like a pitchfork raking behind my naval. Most pain was with activity, or by touch directly on it. Laying down alleviated it. Post op pain is better today than yesterday.. it feels like a fist around the muscles where the incisions are. This surgery has given me hope I'll look & feel like a normal person again.

Four years ago I underwent umbilical hernia repair with mesh.
The specialist who performed the operation had had 35 years of experience, so all my trust went into him at that point.
The surgery was indeed a success.
The day after was the worse as far a pain in the abdomen. However after 3-4 weeks things really healed up nicely.
I'm back to weight training and cardio at the rec center.

Hi Mike, thanks for sharing your story. I am 51 year old male, and have an umbilical hernia. I just had my yearly physical today. My doctor says he wants me to get it repaired, especially where I work out at the gym. I am not in the best shape, and after reading your post, makes me very scared of the day of surgery, and when it is over. You said the day after is the worse, could you go into more detail of that please, meaning pain wise? I've been reading a lot about the recovery time. I heard getting up off the bed is painful, along with sitting down, and some people even said taking a dump hurts like hell. What's your thought on this? Thank you. - Mike

@@Nan-59 Hi there, yes, I had my umbilical hernia repaired on June 30th of this year (2022). It was done laparoscopic by a robot (da Vinci system), with the surgeon in control I presume. Pain was minimal, I did not need to take the heavy pain killers, just extra strength Tylenol. I stopped taking that five days after the surgery. I can tell you I was surprised by the lack of pain. I just felt a tightness around my abdominal region near my belly button for about two weeks. That was it. I did take a stool softener the first week, as that helped out too. I only took that for one week. On Tuesday July 14th (exactly two weeks after my surgery), I had a follow-up appointment with the surgeon, and he was very pleased with the results. He gave me permission to return to the gym, and start working out lightly with weights. Cardio was a green light too. Just a side note, they do tell you to get up after surgery and walk, to help the healing process. Nothing strenuous. No deadlifting or squats. On August 1st, I was cleared by my surgeon to resume work. I work in a warehouse and delivery driver, and lift heavy items from time to time. No problems to report. Now two months plus after surgery, and I feel great! I am still working hard, and going all out at the gym now. I'm very happy, no pain whatsoever! I hope I answered your questions. Let me know if I missed something. - Mike

I had mine done on July 11TH 2018 Laparoscopic at Mayo Clinic Rochester MN it turned out real well. Same day surgery went home the same day. Belly button was tender for a couple weeks. Everything healed up great! Am glad I was able to listen to your video and other surgeries before I had it done. 4x6 inch mesh was used. I believe I tore my stomach from a fall from a roof 14 feet onto the frozen ground. Did not realize it for a long time than one day it was like someone ran a knife into my belly button, that really got my attention, wow. Was able to get it pushed back in and set up an appointment at Mayo to have it done, so lucky. Dr. Shiller and his two other doctors did a great job.

Not had mine yet but I hear you also need to be ready with serious stool softeners...you don't want to have to bear down at all in the bathroom or you will be in pain...also avoid anything that would make you cough!!! As far as prior to surgery I think any working out or exercise that does not "strain" the stomach which could cause the opening to enlarge is fine. You can find good stomach muscle strengthening exercises right here on UA-cam.

It got sorted. I had a parasite in my gut. It was very bad. But i went on some serious meds for 3 weeks and it died I guess. I apparently could have had it for years without knowing it. But dr found a hiatus hernia and stomach ulcers which explains everything. I am mostly pain free now.

For someone aged 28, who has done sports my whole life and had never before had issues with it. im roid free(I dont even compete or plan on competing), getting symptoms of a umbilical hernia has been uncomfortable. and the notion fo getting surgery for it to start protruding again is terrifying.
How likely am I, after an umbilical hernia surgery of training like normal eventually?(it-s very minor but uncomfortable, nothing eye catching)

Not in Canada, social medicine says only one if the lump bump does not go back in….as long as you can lay down jig it back in no matter how painful you can live with it….
