Just more of your business that eBay is taking control of and leaving you with no control at all, we are now told what to sell, how much to sell it for, how much it's going to cost to put it in front of people and also amongst other things
"Tumbleweeds" cracked me up. I no longer bother with requests for weird or unnecessary measurements of clothing items for this reason. I genuinely believe there is a sub-section of people that just want the satisfaction of wasting our time asking dumb q's knowing we went to dig the item out. I have like zero time
These questions come in, mostly on the weekend. I usually tell them that I', away this weekend but I will check the garment when I get home and I never get back to them and the majority never contact me again.
@@jessicakatskats the never buy anything though, that's the thing. Someone asked me to measure a jacket armpit to the waist when there's already a full set of measurements (I even asked eBay about this at the Manchester event). I don't think they really need it, do they?
Agreed. I started throwing it back to them by asking “what measurement are you looking for and if seems close, I’ll give it a look and come back to you”. People didn’t even bother replying to that, so I can’t even be bothered anymore either.
People are quick to say what they don’t want, but I don’t actually think they actually know what they do want.
I can go deeper on this and say in my opinion i wouldn't put it past that eBay are sending these messages or at least some of them, i was told by a rep that eBay used to have accounts that would buy things etc etc to test us out
I used your code to order 3 rolls of small bubble wrap from their website plus some extra tape so I didn't have to pay postage. Just wanted to say that I was really pleased with their customer service as they answered a query I had really quickly so I will continue to use them in future. Thanks for the recommendation & code.

I do like Vinted's set up with just being able to print off the customers label, but yes they need to give sellers options as to which couriers they can use.
Hi Faye & Simon, Sorry meant to comment on last video but forgot, getting old Lol. For us it will be 100% opt out if possible as it would be an absolute nightmare for us. We use Royal Mail for everything and we have a business account and a daily scheduled collection so for eBay to start splitting the postage out would be a pain, even if the customer would purchase a Royal Mail label we would still have to go and drop it off to the post office as the scheduled collections is just for our business account mail and nothing else. So many potential problems on the horizon with this simple shipping, I hope eBay are ready for those, so it doesn’t badly affect those that choose to use it.
I admire #PolishPete for his industriousness for effectively simplifying the process but his stock is all clothing, much easier than packing heavy, awkward items that the catch-all sellers lists.I estimate parcel weight and size when listing, to aid a fair representation for global shipping calculations.
Yes, we already try to add weights/measures where we can because it definitely benefits GSP, but if by the time we package it, it’s different to what’s quoted than eBay take the hit. I would assume they already cover for this. But for us to be charged on top with Simple Shipping, seems problematic.
Didn’t realise PP only did clothes so yes, that’s a lot more straight forward to prepack

Great video. I sold, as a business seller, a coat on EBay and didn't get charged any seller fees. Have EBay extended their no fee clothing sales to business now or was it a glitch? Best wishes, Roger.

Also, what's gonna happen when the customer inputs a mistake in their address? We already have addresses coming through incorrectly formatted, not to mention those who are trying some kind of scam or similar ("please leave on the doorstep/in the bin") on the label? Though to be fair those orders would be cancelled anyway...
Yes, I usually remove any messages like that if they’re added to the address 🫢

Yes the lockers are interesting, really easy if there is space, can drop off after school run or during dog walk. However, things are not always picked up quickly and can be broken into.
Looking at what sold this week and time to sell. I think they are really beautiful items and would make really good Whatnot items :)

Most likely. I posted an item the other day that didn’t have a house number. If they don’t receive their item then I’m not surprised. I only noticed it as handing over to the PO, too late to do anything about it at that stage and it’s the customers responsibility to supply their correct address.
