That's an amount of ceramics that would have had me sobbing! Simon was right, they just wanted it all gone. You have to store, research, catalogue, and pay to list all of that for a while before you make a real dent in it. Fair play to you for tackling it! Some of it looked pretty nice.

When I saw the advert for this, I said to my hubby you would be right in there as so close to home lol.

Well you are a good neighbours, no way would I have taken that lot I would have been very picky and sorted out a few sets and left the rest… I would question the fact. Are we doing the owner a favour taking the stuff or is she doing us a favour For what ever the reasons are I would consider the fact that she should pay me money for clearing out unwanted crockery not the other way round Ok you are going to sell the stuff but the work involved in sorting into sets, cleaning it all and packaging after sales… is it worth the return? All that storage for low value items! You are both as I said before good neighbours for coming to the rescue to your local tearoom I hope she appreciates what you are doing. Rebecca

Happy New Year! What an epic haul! Seeing it all laid out on the table was like some sort of fever dream. A lot of work for sure but I think the returns are definitely worth it. I'm not sure if Faye has the short straw sorting and listing or if it's Simon having to package the sales! I'd be so interested in what you get for it all a few months down the line.

Brilliant video, it was so interesting to hear your thought process re what you would pay for the stuff in the shed. I agree with Simon, I would not go above £50. It’s a lot of work. These out and about videos are great, you should do more! Also, I like the use of classical music, makes a change from the usual generic tunes people use. Although Rossini could never have imagined his Overtures being used as a background for house clearance videos LOL.

Wow. What an opportunity. You want to consider selling in job lots bundles to the mismatched china vintage wedding market. It's a lucrative market in solds on 3rd Jan £275 for 60 mismatch cups and saucers. Bit of a packing nightmare but courier would cost less than £20.

I don't bother selling on eBay anymore. I only got one negative feedback, a guy tried to rip me off for a brand new pair of jeans that he bought for £1!! I had proof of delivery, but ONE POUND!? Was it worth it?

I get stressed every time I sell on eBay waiting for this sort of thing to happen then wondering if they are then going to trash my feedback. I always offer returns as if you don't some buyers will damage the goods in order to obtain one. If it's not worth that much I would rather send it to a charity shop with no worries.

Amazon should be sent to court on this. That is STEALING. Amazon is offering these for sale, Amazon is ripping people off on so many levels... this is just one.

While this wasn't someone trying to scam me, they'd just not read what the product was and the outcome. I sold a new ring indoor security camera on a buy it now, once the buyer recieved the item they messaged me and said it wasn't what they wanted, they wanted the ring doorbell camera, they simply read ring and camera and assumed it was the doorbell version. The buyer then asked for a refund and I said no as I was a private seller, it was clear in the title, decription and photo, they then filed a dispute with ebay. They said the item was not as described, which it was. I sent in my version with evidence and Ebay found the item was as described, Ebay then refunded them, they didn't take the money from me, they paid for the refund, I have no idea what happened to the item, was the buyer allowed to keep it? What does this teach buyers that do not really look at what they're buying? Can they just click and buy anything without them having to worry about losing out?

Who is the trusted supplier please.

Re Returns, I do a bit dealing in militaria on the bay, and do get the occasional return, but, I want the item back....even if it costs me...Just last week, I had a buyer on crying to me on the 19th Dec, that an item I had was perfect for her husbands Christmas...post on it was £7.50, it weighed almost 10KG, she sent me £10 post to ensure it got to her for Christmas Eve...!!! No way was that happening, so told her, if she was happy to pay another £7.35, I could do Next Day delivery via Royal Mail for her...ohhhh, she was sooo happy..cos, if I didnt do that, she would have nothing to give her hubby for Christmas !!! ..and was going to send on the extra £7.35...so, a 5 mile drive to the PO later, its on its way....she took delivery on Christmas Eve, THEN, not a reply to any of messages I sent......so, on New Years day, I will be reporting her to Ebay, a scammer who lives in a £3m home too!!!!! I’m always amazed at what goes for props. When I sold mainly vintage clothing, what I sold to films and TV programmes made sense. But I’ve sold some weird and wonderful stuff in hard goods to films sets. 🤷‍♀️

I've loved your videos. Honest and straightforward. I sell similar stuff on ebay, but find things hanging about for much longer than your items. I'd be interested in hearing if you have a system of offers/price reductions over time to make sure things don't stick. Don't want you to give away your secrets, obvs, but any helpful advice would be welcomed. You also seem to get good prices for stuff I wouldn't think of listing individually, like that martini glass. An Eye opener!

Could you take photo\video of packages whilst packing.. just a thought…

They make to much money that’s the problem with e bay

I had an experience with a seller of a model train. It was described as fully working but in fact had all the internal electronics faulty. I offered to repair it for a discount which he refused calling me a scammer. I returned it and it was subsequently relisted as a non working item as spares or repair for a much lower price. It is not only buyers but a lot of sellers that are up to no good.

there are to many scammers i had a case over n rc boat £220 byer said it needed £200 of work offered £50 i refused said return it fro hull refund i refused opened a case pay pal made him payy in full he backed down nd payed in full no bad feed back, scammer
