I have fine (thin) high density hair. My mini-twists use to look scalp-y. Blow drying it out first became a game changer.

Love mini twist! That’s an ageless style for me and it’s so versatile. You can put a wig on it, start locs, protective style, stretch hair, crochet, section hair for braids 😊 the list goes on. It allows hair to be left alone and hair thrives off of that!
A wig ain’t going on my mini twist. My hair too damn thick!
@@Shalayah2010 I can’t braid so I do mini twist sometimes so I have two styles in one. I do them really small. Once I learn to braid nobody can tell me nothing 😂

I love mini twists. I watch classic horror movies when I do my hair. A little Nightmare on Elm Street, Christine, Creepshow action
LOVE mini twist. I do them right after wash day so my hair has been growing. Stretches it for at least 2 or 3 weeks. Transition from twist to twist out still braided at the root to full twist out and then pick out. Best style ever and still healthy. Plus keeps my purple color longer.

When I started watching this I was in the process of taking my twists out and putting them back in. I honestly don't remember when my hair wasn't in twists. I love the middle part on you...heck the side part is giving too
So are you saying I should just wash my hair and throw them back in 😅
@TruleyTalentedBeauty that's exactly what I do...and sometimes I will take them down and immediately put them back in without shampooing them. I don't use a lot of product so I don't have a lot of buildup

Preschoolers literally wear the exact same hairstyles as soccer moms. Black women are the only ones that put an age on our natural hairstyles. It won’t ever make sense to me.
To clarify the beginning part was more of a joke. But I will say I don’t think we are the only ones who place an age on certain styles. For me I think it’s more the way/length in which the style is worn that gives the appearance of a younger age. Mini twist in general aren’t a childish style but sometimes the length of someone’s hair, the size of the twist and style they are worn in can make it seem adolescent. Like pigtails (or two puffs if we are talking curly hair) is a style I think most cultures would refer to as child style because of when most of us have worn them. But Ive definitely seen other cultures including ours spice up the style and find a way to have it look more grown. 🤗

It’s a ‘joke’ that’s getting old really fast, so we can agree to disagree. Women are sporting short bobs like it’s next big thing calling it ‘grown and sexy’, but twists at the same length somehow aren’t? By that same logic preschoolers and kindergartners with hair down their back are somehow older? Respectfully, it still makes no sense to me.
Children aspire to look like their adult counterparts-the one you started with wasn’t always considered a kid’s style. You see it a lot on adult women on 90s shows. Two puffs were worn all time in the 70s as well. So what changed? Us. Trends. And that’s ok, but I don’t have to agree with what doesn’t make sense. I’m not showing the children of my culture that their hair requires change in order to grow up.
This something I’ve struggle with because I’m so used to seeing (and wearing) weaves. When I do my natural hair it always seems weird like I look like a child. But I’m not using hairbows and barrettes so it’s actually not childish.
I agree that there have been changes that have brought this thinking on. I mean heck, Da Brat still wore hair bows well into her adulthood and no one made it a big deal 🤷🏾♀️ . Being a black woman is exhausting

What were used to is what were used to. Imo that’s why we now view our own texture to be childish-we not used to seeing it and wearing it as an adult. So we think the styles that are perfect for natural textures aren’t for us and labeled as childish.
We’ve normalized fake and straight hair and that’s just the truth. It’s going to take a lot of work to make our own texture normal again, and that’s a road I happily go down. I understand everyone isn’t going to bother because they’re fine with the way things are. I’m more concerned about our children. We taken great strides with them and the next generation can do so much with their natural hair and textures.
And I agree about DaBrat. I really think she influenced adult women to wear beads and shells again as well. Which was huge in the 70s. It’s such an unapologetically black look to me.
And I agree that it’s exhausting. All the more reason to keep it simple instead of trying justify why can’t simply wear our hair and call it a day.

So our sins were imputed on HIS body at the CROSS, and HE died, was buried in a tomb which was sealed off, and resurrected on the 3rd day seen by Peter and then 12 disciples, over 500 witnesses, James HIS brother and the Apostles, HE ascended up into Heaven before many to sit at the Right Hand of THE FATHER in Heaven. This means that GOD accepted HIS sacrifice on the Cross for our sins. Which means that when JESUS CHRIST returns, we will be caught up with HIM and have immortality with HIM, back in fellowship as it was in the Beginning of Creation, in HIS PRESENCE, seeing HIM face to face, know HIM as we are known by HIM. No hatred, crime, wickedness in sin. No more tears, no more pain, perfect peace and Harmony with OUR GOD THE FATHER, THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, HIS HOLY SPIRIT. No one else but JESUS CHRIST could die for our sins, because HE was sinless and perfect. So when we believe in JESUS, we are no longer on death row, we are spared from the death penalty and JESUS CHRIST, and HIS Righteousness is credited to us.
