I just spent 10 hours doing the micro twists(for the first time)and they look great,i'm a teenager and this is the first time i actually did my own hair besides when i wear a puff or an afro.My mom just came home and is so proud of me,this channel is really helping me do cute easy styles for my hair besides cornrows and braids(for the life of me I can't figure those out)and also how to properly care for my hair:)
I had to come back to this video to say that you inspired me to put my hair in mini twists and they actually came out so beautiful. I was surprised because I have fine hair so I thought it would look a mess but NOPE. I encourage any ladies who haven't already to give this a try. Put on 2 good movies and do it!
I would love to try it with my daughter but I do not have the patience for so slim twists. Maybe twice the size. Pls show next time how you take them out! Thanks for the video!
I carefully placed my hair in a bonnet when I sleep to keep them for going all over the place AND I didn’t use a shower cap when I showered so it was like a reset button each night. They did look messy for me after a week or so but I am home so I didn’t care ❤️
So this God sent. I finally have a protective style for my daughters hair that will give me great access to her scalp and her strands to keep them moisturized for better length retention. Thank you!!
I washed my hair last week with the intention of doing the same style... let’s just say, I’m still in thinking about it 😂😂😂 but yours came out so cute, and I might do it this week 🤔
My hair is done in bigger & thicker but about the same length. I am 14 months natural & my hair is growing in nicely. Put twist in I thought until wash day but I'm going to rock them until......when I take them out going to twist again, great summer style, with many benefits..health & growth are major ones ++
Thank you, Sis! Your videos are so helpful and informative. I'm wearing my 4C hair natural for the first time in my life, and it is longer than it's ever been! Hopefully, this info will click in my head and I can get comfortable doing my own natural hair. 😇❤💯
I’ve always loved your spirit and your styles. You could consider refreshing the front 2or 3 rows to get an extra 2-3 weeks out of them. I do it often and l like it because the edges look fresh while the rest maintains its body
Jenn Jackson yeah, l figured😊. I love, love ,your positivity and perseverance! I have 4c hair like you and l love doing it myself, like you.You are one of those you tubers l will always love and respect.
This is soooo pretty😍 I did my mini twist a week and a half ago for the very first time, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and I LOVE it!! I decided to do this for an entire year and see how well it grows!
I just did mini twists for the first time too, and I'm absolutely shook! I have fine 4c, low to medium density hair, and thought this style would look like a scalpy, hot mess on me. Turns out, I've never looked cuter! Haha! And it's so easy to maintain. I think I found my new signature hairstyle.
That type of tangle teezer shred the ends of my hair over time. I lost less hair when I used it on soaking wet hair with conditioner and a lot of slip. Oh I have fine 4c hair normal to thick density.
MsNaturale Michelle thank you for stating your hair type! I used it on went hair as well (right after I washed) and so far so good. The over time part scares me though so I don’t use it often 😫
I am try this protective style to. Cause I need to start doing low manipulation. Tired of the shedding and breakage. I am try and leave my styles up for 2 months.
My tip for taking out all of the hair from your brush is just by puting a napkin on the brush before you detangle so you can just pick it up afterwards and not have to pick the hair one by one 😊
It was super easy! I just twisted my hair in the opposite direction and they came right out. I will see if I can incorporate a little footage in upcoming videos
OMG! This is Awesome! My hair is about as long as yours & I have been afraid to do Mini twist on my hair. I always add in braiding hair to do my twists. But now that I see what you did here, I am going to try to do what you did. Thanks Love!
I went from doing this stye with extensions (practicing during qtine) to needing a break and having my hair breathe on its own/wanting to be able to massage my scalp further. To loving this style and gaining the confidence to finally get locs! I feel so playful with it and I like the styles you came up with! I'll use them for my zoom meetings to make it look like I got ready, haha
I love clean parts and sections. It makes the process a lot easier. your results are amazing. This is proper protective styling Jenn! TFS! #ServingUpBeauty
You are a GGGG when it comes to parting your hair!!! SIS, YASSS! Every style looked great on you. I saw your style on Instagram days ago and had to do my hair. I am loving it. GORG!!!
They look really nice. I will mimic your way because I like how many there are. Your hair is thicker than mine but I will still do mine this way. Good job.
You've just inspired me to do something like twist in my natural 4c hair... thanks for idea and I love how you do your tutorials... I watched it from start to finish and I must not tell a lie...I don't watch alot of them from start to finish...I'm not going talk negatively about any anyone I'm just going to pray for them and me...but nuff said..GOD BLESS YOU my sister and if we speak again...MORE HAIR!!!!
Wow. The magic of black hair. At first glance you're hair looked so short, but it is actually long. This is one of the unique features of our hair. Your hair looks healthy by the way. Love the look.
“All this beckys would have soo many questions” It was right there that I knew I made a good decision subscribing 😂🤣🤣🤣😂😂 But in all honesty 🧐 why can’t they just compliment you and go?!
This is the best video explaining how to get FULL twists! Thanks for showing all the different parts in your hair! I just finished mine and they actually look good! So excited that I finally got this! 😊
This has been my style since the beginning of the year. I can go about 17 days before I'm sick of them and I have to re-twist. I use Melanin products as well!
I love it when you post! You're so upbeat and positive. I love that about you! I cant seem to get my hair to STAY twisted once I do my mini twists. Do you have any suggestions dollface????
@@tiaaaliya80 what's your hair type like? I know some people with loose curls like 3a have a harder time keeping their twists from unraveling. Try braiding half an inch from the root, then twisting the rest of the way down, and braiding the very last part down. Use a hair butter or holding product to try to have better stay.
I'm so doing these tomorrow. i'm tired of contemplating whether to braid my hair. why not just twist up my natural hair and call it a day lol these are so cute
Love it! I did mine at the beginning of quarantine and left for about 3 weeks and when I took it out my curls were so cute! When I do it again I will take the time to part like you did! Great job
Hope you're ok quarantining and all. I know it's stressful. On a brighter note, I took your advice on prepooing with an oil and me an my hair are friends again! Thanks!
OMG Thanks for sharing!! I keep telling people but they won't listen! haha I am so glad it worked out. Quarantine is going... ok. Trying to keep the mental up but some days are better than others x
I’m just seeing this today but I put mini twists in my hair last week, doing a lot of the same things this video suggested. I’m gonna aim for 2 weeks. I have a few twists in the front I need to redo and my back has to be completely retwisted cause it’s like 3c/4a back there. Nice job!
Aaannnddd... You could leave them in and start a set of beautiful locs 😈 Lol, I'm 100% biased 😅 Your twists turned out beautifully! 😊💜 Edit: lol, I didn't realize you mentioned locs, I just now got to the end 😅
I thought the same thing when I used the tangle tweezer brush. I have sense purchased the Felicia Leatherwood brush. I like it much better. Doesn’t take out as much hair. Enjoyed your video.
Thanks Jen 👍🏾 you’re hair was beautiful, thanks for sharing the tips on how you parted or section off your hair. I run my brush under running water or put water in the sink dip the brush in water as you pick it up tap or shake the hair will loosen up and make it easy to grab ! It works for 4 me 👍🏾 good luck sis.💕
I do this style once a year and this is also how I kicked off quarentine. In this style you can almost feel every strand of hair. I do blow dry first though because my hair is way too thick to do it curly.
Ooooh I love this...I want mini twists now..gonna try this next wash day. I always get just the front mini twisted and the back is always in like some braided updo
Mine is less dense too but i stretch as i go along then put it all in a bun with a middle part and tie it down flat to dry. It actually looks like I blew it out until you look closely...
Soak the brush in water then rinse in running water, works like a dream. It is the best brush for 4c hair I think. The denman was the worst. And the hair stay tangle free for the longest time. It even works with untrimmed hair
You have inspired me to try mini twists this Friday. I've been wearing my own hair in cornrows but my hair isn't yet long enough to feel comfortable during my virtual happy hours so I think I can rock this and be ok with it. Thanks Jenn. You've done it again. It looks really good on you.
Your hair is so beautiful. I used to wear my hair in that style back in the 90’s. Now my hair is more fine so I would look too scalpy. But looks great on you!!
I did mini twists for the first time a couple weeks ago when I went out of town and I knew I didn’t want to get up and comb my hair everyday. I had the same energy as you at the end. They are so freeing and cute. I just got some more done at the salon and I’m so in love because my roots are snatched! I’m scared to get it wet tho cuz the ones I did only lasted a week before they got too frizzy for my liking.
Hi Beautiful! The video on how I took down the twists is LIVE. Check out here: ua-cam.com/video/jnzSiMkzAAA/v-deo.html 😋
Love it wear it to work ... it’s too cute on ya👍🏾💜
Jenn take a bristle brush to get the hair out..
My hair to fine and curly for a tangle teaser
Sis...you go! I dont have the patience for those lil tiny twists.
Omg you slayed that face sis.
Tut plz for a sis that dont know how to do makeup
FINALLY real 4C hair on youtube! YAY!
Thank you!

I followed your parting and I've been rocking my mini twists for a little over 1 week.

@@JennJackson I have always wondered what the parting technique was. Never saw anyone do it. You did an amazing job. You are beautiful as well.
Yes parting is on point I will be trying this!
I liked how you did the parting. Definitely going to try this
I don't get how people keep theirs so neat and straight. By day 5 mine look a month old and are scrunching up
Jasmine McFadden by day one babe🌚🌚🌚I just don’t get it 🤦🏿♀️
I immediately put mine in a ponytail to keep it stretched

The way I keep mine neat is keeping it moisturised and laying it with a satin scarf. My hair draws up due to the dryness.

I did mini twist. They are lovely and I put it in a bun and forget about it. Really good style. This is week 3
Amazing! Such a good way to just take a break from hair styling!
That will most likely be my style as well. A bun or up in the front & hanging in the back. I think i may do my twists a little larger though.

The take down is easy if you hair is moisturized. I try to moisturize the day before the take down.
The twisting method determines the take down. Make sure the sections are equal makes it easy. Plus you will end up with a beautiful twist out

Your hair is so beautiful. I used to wear my hair in that style back in the 90’s. Now my hair is more fine so I would look too scalpy. But looks great on you!!
Sis you are simply gorgeous!! Love the mini twists 😍🥥🌴
Love love love this. I cant wait to try this look and all the style.. Slay it sis. Thank you for sharing this post.
You are so welcome! share a picture with me when you do x
Beautiful! I have mine like this a lil longer and a tad bit thicker! And I love them
I did mini twists for the first time a couple weeks ago when I went out of town and I knew I didn’t want to get up and comb my hair everyday. I had the same energy as you at the end. They are so freeing and cute. I just got some more done at the salon and I’m so in love because my roots are snatched! I’m scared to get it wet tho cuz the ones I did only lasted a week before they got too frizzy for my liking.
My goodness , your shrinkage is real. Look how that long hair camouflaged . Hair looks really cool
Too cute, I'm a newbie to the natural life just big chopped one week ago. Going to try this. Thanks
Yessss! Good luck with the new journey!
