From the researches i did for this video i found out that the cars they make with this body kit are quite impressive but that comes at a premium, but yea, it would be cool if they could still sell the body kit alone close to the old price
They do still sell the kits, but what people need to understand is it’s not $15,000 to build a Vaydor. By the time you’re done if you even have the skills to do it, it’s gonna equal somewhere close to around $50,000-$60,000. It’s not an easy build though. I have 20+ years of experience with classic car restoration, metal fabrication, fiberglass work on aircraft, then paint/body and it has still taken me almost 2 years to complete.
hard to say - think about this. . .if you have premier product - then sell kit for every shit shop and homebuilder to replicate it takes away from value as the quality is very inconsistent and buyers dont really know what they are getting quality wise.

Brand could have just specialized in body kits and made different models of vaydor for different sizes of car. Like they had the g35. There could have been a vaydor m5 with the v10, an AMG vaydor with a supercharged v8. So many ideas, and with them being cheaper they would sell more.

It really bugs me that we in America don't have any equivalent of rocket bunny or veilside. The things that could be done to a stock mustang (even older ones) with fresh bodykits are all but infinite. With wide body fenders and a new front end, it could look like a muscle supercar.

P much some guy designed this kit himself, couldnt produce it, and sold it to another company who now does the full conversion themselves. So instead of buying a kit, now you buy a full vayder g35. Iirc you could customize it with different drivetrains/engines and interiors

As the former owner of a 2003 350Z with a 6-speed manual, and a 2004 G35 with a manual and a pro charger that pushed power to north of 400hp with stock internals, I'm offended by the way you even approach this subject of import car lore i.e. the once famous "Vaydor" bodykit. The base car is NOT junk. Actually a really great driving car from the factory (Nissan hasn't historically been known for building "junk" cars, but for building things like the RB26DETT engine and the RB25 before IT, as well as the VG30 engines and all of their drama and the legendary twin turbo 300ZX of the 90s that it was built for, just to name a couple...) Granted, the G35 wasn't as much of a power house as the GTR, but with a determined owner could easily become a contender. Then add a turbo, supercharger, twin turbo setup, or an LS swap (that's a *viable option with available conversion kits, a practice that actually dates back to the 70s and 80s Datsun Z cars)and you've got MORE than just a "junk" base car. The way you've approached the subject tells me you're not a *true enthusiast and I'm just not even interested in hitting the "like" button because of it. Maybe you shouldn't offend us *real people in the scene with comments like this, or try a different approach. Might get more subscribers than you have now...I won't be one of them...Oh, and btw, that black Infinity with the rims is a G37, NOT a G35. And the "35" in the name signifies the size of the engine in liters. In the G35, obviously this is 3.5L of stout V6, and 3.7 liters in the G37. But you wouldn't know that would you?
Okay… so the G35 is a great car. The only reason why it has a bad reputation now is bc of owners that decided to do the most with them. Whether it was slide shows or any kind of body kit i.e wide body kits, fake Gtr kits etc. the car itself is a timeless look. If you don’t mess with the body lines and get a decent suspension set up and nice wheels that actually fit correctly it’s a gorgeous car in my opinion. I currently have one and owned it since 2010. Yes the VQ35DE is no god sent motor with oil issues. But once you resolve that, the car is fun to drive especially 6 spd nice clutch set up short throw and leave the damn catalytic converters in lol. People literally shit on this car bc of the stigma of it not being fast to today standards. No different from people now trying to buy older Japanese legendary cars and then complaining they are slow bc they watch tik tok videos with +700 skylines etc blowing flames everywhere. Every car has potential. Whether you have to build the motor or swap with a LS motor etc. I still jump into my G35 after driving my R35 and still have fun. I guess it’s more nostalgia for me. The sound the smell and the drivers feel.
11k back then would be like 30k now 😅 and the whole car had to be re-wired, so back then getting a new g35 then installing that kit would've been atleast 50k.. way more today

Body kits are not really an upgrade if the HP, turning, suspension, drivetrain, and brakes are still factory specs. So no spending $11k is a very stupid idea
