- I love film, that is why I am a cinematographer. These classic movies which most I used to watch when I was small during the late 70s to the 1980s gave me the right inspiration. Enjoy these movies, they may not have CGIs and fancy colours but these movies rely on good acting and scripts to make their stories interesting!!! FXs are all manually done. They may not realistic as like todays fancy movies but they told their stories well relative to their time. njoy wactching these movies from the past. Despite no CGIs or other special effects the true artistry and acting talent of the actors are displayed. Good screenplay nd timing. Just classic acting!!!

This has another wonderful, understated performance from Jennifer Jones. Looking back, I think many of us had a Miss Dove in the course of our school career: we may not have liked her at the time, but with the passing of years, I think we've come to appreciate all that she did for us. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

I grew up in the 1950s and 60s and my family had a black and white TV. So looking at a movie like this one in beautiful colors wasn't availableyo us. Although I saw movies in color at the cinemas. I also liked as a kid, watching oldies on TV, I enjoyed them better than some of the "new" movies made in the 50s and 60s and onward. I liked Chuck Conners, I used to watch him in the Rifleman TV show in the late 50s and early 60s.

One of my favourite movies but this one was rather spoilt by the letterbox format and the border.
