  • Like many Sport Utility Vehicles (SUV's), The Kodiak 100 is built to handle the harshest backcountry landing zones but often is only operated from large airport to large airport. Join our Chief Demo Pilot, Mark Brown as he flies a "typical" Kodiak 100 flight from Orange Country CA (KSNA) to Coachella/Thermal CA (KTRM).
    Loading, checklists, weight & balance, radio calls, and more!

      At the 13:18 timestamp his profile reminds me of Eminem. But, yeah, he's really calm, cool and collected.

    Such a versatile aircraft. Would be very useful in more remote areas for cargo and passenger services (Part 135). I was amazed at the actual operating costs.

    Wow, they finally cut all the tam trees out, in 84 you felt like a bush pilot going end there, and could get lost finding the FBO. 😅😅

    You're announcing that you're entering left downwind runway 12 but then you make right turns? Was this a mistake or am I missing something?

    You need Go-Pro's on both sides of the cockpit on the right and left windows ,behind the seat and in front on the dashboard and also on the wings .both the front and back .

    A great video. A suggestion, while you are talking about throttle changes etc, can you focus the camera on the MFD to see the changes reflected.

    From all the flight videos I've watched (and it has been a lot), ATC always seems to me in a hurry to spit out what they have to say. I realize they probably have a lot of planes to talk to.

    Just wondering next video could you make it a bit brighter inside the cockpit? ...was awefully dark inside to see what was going on.
    Thanks!

    • @Farmer_El
      @Farmer_El 2 роки тому

      @@ryz8 I really like it as well. Have you had any issues with it? I sometimes can't take off because it won't go any faster than about 40 knots on the runway with full throttle.

    • @ryz8
      @ryz8 2 роки тому

      @@Farmer_El Yeah, I've experienced that with this plane and a few other DLC plans. Sometimes I have to reset the whole flight to get the plane to work as intended. Also, my screens in the Kodiak are very dim, but I think that's probably a setting thing for screen brightness that I haven't figured out yet.

    As a 767 captain I can’t help but notice some things. You missed some of the radio responses on clearance and departure. Always write down your clearance on paper.
    Also, your eyes were in the cockpit for most of the trip. Don’t forget to look outside on vfr flights. Otherwise nice work.
