@@hadeskingoftheunderworld7010 they're gonna be set for a looooong time. Probably still gonna be making starfield videos for a few weeks too, but TES6 will be every single video for decades
"Darkness rises when silence dies." It's pretty easy to figure it out. The Night Mother has been silent for a long, long time, and now that she's got a new listener to talk to, you, that new listener is going to do things that will make the Dark Brotherhood something to be feared and respected again. Like take out an emperor or something hardcore like that. Darkness rises when silence dies, see?
@@sylph4252 Scott did the same thing in a Fallout build in action video and body/physiques lore wise in the old Oblivion let’s play too. Always funny to me idk why
In terms of the Dark Brotherhood, there is actually a mod that gives you the opportunity to save all of them! They follow you until you finish the questline, then settle down at the Dawnstar Sanctuary. The lines are a bit funky because yknow, in canon they're not supposed to be there, but it's nice having more people roaming around.
It wpuld be cool if you could choose who you could save out of them. Like doing side quests for them would pick who you save, so if you liked a character and talked to them often you would get the chance to save them
@@hadeskingoftheunderworld7010 Oh you can choose either way, you can just let them get killed during that particular questline and they won't show up anymore. There's no extensive questlines or dialogue to it, but it still functions in a similar manner.
I feel like Askeladd joining the thieves guild represents his desire to institute soft power. After going a bit crazy on the hard power side, and unquestionably being able to defeat nearly any foe, his ability to free the Reach will not only come from his ability to physically free it but to also cement public opinion for its existence and create economic as well as physical deterrents. There's not much point to a free reach if it's people are miserable and always at war. Askeladd also needs power that he can rely on in peacetime.
I have been loving the new way you guys have been doing the newer videos. Starting with the slow motion shots to when you 3 show all your characters in lore videos. I believe it just adds so much more to the channel and I have loved it and I doubt I'm the only one. Keep it up guys
I love this play through. I also think it would be really cool to (once the play through is done) compile all the “update” segments and put them either into a playlist or into one longer video that goes over his entire journey. Kind of like an abridged story of Askeladd. Thoughts?
"Darkness rises when silence falls" is a way of saying the Dark Brotherhood will rise in prestige when the Night Mother breaks her silence and chooses a listener. Or something like that

Quite the character development our Askeladd has been through. You can feel it in how he speaks. I feel this is a boiling point for him. Well done, Scott.
If I had to guess the meaning of “Darkness Rises when Silence Dies” I’d say it refers to how when the Night Mother finally speaks and there is no more silence, she has chosen a listener and the Dark Brotherhood can get to work or get back to work. Or maybe something like when the Night Mother speaks at last, the Dark Brotherhood will rise up to do the work of Sithis. Something like that 🤷♂️

Been looking forward to the next episode thus far! Side Note: Sabine, is essential, cause she gives you the Blue Balmora in The Spreading Influence Quest for Solitude, in the Thieves Guild. All other's aren't essential. Final Note: That ending was chilling. Not just how you wrapped up the episode, but also how you hesitated with the voice of Askkeladde, (think I spelled that right?) In how it seems he is forgetting who he is. Not soley as a person, but just himself. I think this could really play out well in his role play. Of power gain, and struggle of knowing/remembering who he was, and his purpose in Skyrim. Maybe even use this as one of the things that's pulling him into an unknown direction. Regardless of how the decisions are made, will be looking forward to the next playthrough, and how the story plays out from here. Also, fun fact/final side note: I found it somewhat amusing. A "Reflection" of sorts. That in the 1920's or maybe it was the 40's or so. That children, would be gathering around, for the next episode of an Old Radio Station Broadcast, and be listening to it into the evening, and hearing the tales that had been woven. Where, fast Forward, 100 Years, now. I think? And here we are. Sitting around the Computer, Handheld Phones, TV, Etc., And we're doing almost the same thing as done those prior, many years ago. Just a little fun fact I thought I'd share. 😅🙂👍🏼

I think Askeladd should join the Imperials on the civil war arc. He wants to free the reach but Ulfric in the lore pushed back the Forsworn and took Markarth from them so a Stormcloak victory could mean the end of the forsworn. Also another good point is Motierre is a member of the elder council and put a contract on the emperor so it would be nice to pretend Motierre becomes the new emperor. Since Askeladd is an assassin and also the one that put Emperor Motierre in power he could have an influence on him and have the entire empire in his pocket.
It's testament to Scott's role playing ability and the quality of this series that i've gone from being sympathetic to Askeladd's cause and wanting to see him achieve his goal, to utterly hating the character over the course of the last 2 episodes and wanting to see him get his comeuppance and pay some kind of price for all this. Great job so far and I eagerly await the next chapter of the story.
I'm thinking that Mercet Fray might give him a morality check, between stabbing him in the back and then bringing Fray down, a testament to what happens to those who give into their greed and lust for power.
I love this series so much! I have learned a lot so far on how to properly roleplay from you. Been playing this game for 10 years but only after discovering your channel a bit over one year ago I have never had so much fun up until this point (except for maybe my first couple of gameplays) Thanks :)

It seems to take a lotta time and effort to do things like this. But I'm willing to compromise😂🥹 I love deep roleplaying with both builds and long-plays
This is such an immersive and well written play though with great editing between chapters, I have been following since the start and just wow. Truly awesome stuff. I think it would be a great twist to the story to not cure the vampirism but maybe incorporate a mod like sanguinaire or another similar mod that allows you to become a hybrid of both werewolf and vampire forms. As Askelladd is becoming more power hungry and losing his identity along this journey. Can't wait for the next episode! 👌
This is a wonderful series. May sound like you are getting a little burnt out, maybe I'm wrong but if you need time to chill out never sweat it we will be here! You actually had me go back and pull up a level 5 Breton role play I had going from a while back and kind of forgot about. Increased my storytelling 10X Thank you
I've watched a large portion of your videos (some (a lot) more than once), but haven't gotten through them all yet, so of you've revealed your mod list in a previous video, then I apologize, but I'd love to see what you guys are running for these. The game looks so fresh for an 11 year old game! If anyone can link me to the fudge muppet list (if it's out) or if my Bois Scott, Micheal, and Drew could do us all (yet another) solid, I'd be grateful. Thanks in advance, and much love to the fudgemuppet crew!
About restoration leveling I’ve got a trick that’ll let you level that up rather quick: use summon skeletons and then just spam your highest turn undead spell on him and since he is your summon and not an enemy, you can skip time and replenish your magika immediately.
Got a Brenton named Geralt of High Rock based off the witcher build. And an Imperial named Vlad von Carstein based off the castlevania vampire lord build. And about to start my own home build for a Talos reborn playthrough with its own background story and general idea on how he'll be played. Love your guy's channel. Keep up the great work my beautiful Dovakin!
I'm thoroughly enjoying this! I've been a fan of Skyrim...Elder Scrolls games, since I started playing them and a fan of your channel for quite some time. You guys inspire me to make new builds and want to play any and all Elder Scrolls games. Keep on keeping on with this let's play. You're doing very well.
I feel like you could do all the side quests with Askeladd, as part of him finding himself again. Looking forward to the rest of this playthrough. Love this character and where he's gone so far... I feel like solsthiem would be the next on the list. The potential for more power would be enticing. And if you can summon Arvak, you can leave Shadowmere at home. Arvak counts as a horse.
The Red Wave crew are part of fishing quests for Delvin, and Hired Muscle quests for the Companions. Doing the jobs for Delvin enough times reveals the location of the immortal NPC's footlocker with Balmora Blue inside. Base game, not creation club.
Yo bro please keep doing these man I think this is my first time commenting on a UA-cam video and I just have to say I’ve never been more interested in a game I’ve played thousands of times in forever the story’s you make and the background you uphold is just top tier mad love brother more stories please 😂😂😂😂
@50:52 "You, the door, this is the Imperial Guard! Stand up, put your hands in the air, and turn around slowly. Looks like you were trying to break into this building here. On the ground, I'm counting 3, 4...6 broken lockpicks, and it looks like you're holding one as well, so don't give me any humbug about "excercising" with knee bends."
Coming back to watch this is really fun as Askeladd is pretty much a total antithesis to my current character; Argon Tel-stryder, a werewolf bounty hunter who hates magic entirely and solely relies on brute force, blades and forging skills for himself rather than enchanting and subterfuge, but I haven’t played an evil sneaky character in a while so might be around that time to
I actually opened my UA-cam app this morning to pick up with my rewatch of this series and got to watch the new upload instead! Love having these videos play in the background while I work from home. Also, very excited for the Thieves Guild quest. For me, it feels like the most fleshed out quest in game, aside from the DLCs, and I’m looking forward to see how Scott handles it within the context of role playing.
Rewatching this. I've just come to a realization. That in either scenario of Joining, or destroying the Dark Brotherhood. That you the Dragon Born, either eliminate, or reforge this faction into a brand new chapter of itself. Where as Astrid had grown somewhat comfortable in her position of power, and had possibly even grown satisfied with what it had become, as a shell of it's former self, and a faction, that has little to no effect of possibly pleasing Sithis. To compare an example, maybe, compare it with how Colter in FO4, had grown lax in his position of power over the Raiders of Nuka-World, like that, but in an opposite opposite way for Astrid, and her Family she had created. Where she had total control, and answered to no one. When you arrive as the next listener, the Night Mother saw the tremendous potential in you, the player, and as a result, it threw Astrid in a state of discomfort, or fear. That she would, be replaced as leader. So much so, that instead of foregoing all possible outcomes for the assassination of the emperor, she decided to double cross everyone in an attempt too not only protect them, from a possible failed outcome, but also from the Night Mother, and Sithis, in the event that everything doesn't go as planned. Sadly as a result they would ultimately perish, as well with her. Ending the legacy of Astrid's Dark Brotherhood, and recreating what the guild truly stands for. But that's only if you decide to forego that route as the Dragonborn. If you destroy it, you're not only just destroying the Assassin's Guild, but ultimately you're just tying up a loose ends, in a group that has gone semi soft. Even when you first enter, you notice that they're all being chummy with each other to a point, each boasting about their kills, and laughing about it all. Compare that, to what you/what Michael had said, (Third person context used here, to convey thoughts to anyone reading this,**) Had said about Askleladd, and his thoughts about the Dark Brotherhood. Upon first joining the faction, and you notice that it's not really up to what they should be known for. And in a sense may have grown soft under the guidance of Astrid. I guess to sum it up, in that Depending on how you roleplay it, or even do the quest, you can rebuild, or cut ties to the Dark Brotherhood through this one faction hidden within Skyrim.
"Darkness rises when silence dies" I think it means when the NM's silence ends darkness- the void (Sithis) will be sent souls. That's how I interpret it.

Bro I loved these. These have made my work day so much better! I just wish there were more! The role playing and smooth commentary is so nice!
Noice, new Fudgemuppet video. And it’s a play through video!!😤😮💨 insomnia came in clutch for once 😂
Yeyeye
What you should do is combine all the episodes and cinematic scenes to make a movie
Ok RIGHT after nm said but I'll speak to you I got an ad that was playing I saw the sign for like 5 10 seconds. The comedic timing was glorious
2:44:39 What about the "legacy of the dragonborn" mod. You could use the museum as a roleplay for the side quests, collector driven quests
She’s an essentially character because when you rebuild the thieves guilds she helps you gain influence in solitude
He said that they are using the Heavy Burns mod list. Its pretty nice. Its the one I use as well.
@@theflood24 beauty, thanks mate!
I was just saying I was in the mood for elder scrolls too, thank you guys
I’ll still be playing Skyrim when I’m 80
General tullius's armor would be perfect for askeladd!
Absolutely amazing 👏 all I could ask for in a playthrough. Thank you and look forward to future episodes
It's crazy cause after watching vinland saga 2 years ago I also made a skyrim character called Askeladd
Your menus and hud and everything like that are absolutely gorgeous and beautiful
Fudgemuppet is the only skyrim channel that I can watch for more than 10 minutes.
About restoration leveling I’ve got a trick that’ll let you level that up rather quick: use summon skeletons and then just spam your highest turn undead spell on him and since he is your summon and not an enemy, you can skip time and replenish your magika immediately.
I love the sound of rain and rolling thunder, especially when i sleep
Got a Brenton named Geralt of High Rock based off the witcher build. And an Imperial named Vlad von Carstein based off the castlevania vampire lord build. And about to start my own home build for a Talos reborn playthrough with its own background story and general idea on how he'll be played. Love your guy's channel. Keep up the great work my beautiful Dovakin!
God I’ve gotta reread Vinland Saga, what a great series
Congrats FudgeMuppet to making it to 1 million subscribers!!
I've been looking forward to the next installment! They just get better and better!
I love the outros to each chapter. Absolutely amazing after watching the gameplay.
The moaning of the prisoners at the end and cicero talking to myself had me cracking up lol. Great video!
Really enjoying this series! That pirate was immortal because she's involved in a Thieves Guild quest, by the way.
The dark brotherhood is my fav thing in skyrim
Sabine Nytte is part of the thieves guild quest given by Delvin Mallory where he has you talk to Erikur in solitude.
Finally, i was hoping the story of askeladd hadnt come to an end after the dawnguard arc. Glad to see new content being produced and uploaded
Yo bro please keep doing these man I think this is my first time commenting on a UA-cam video and I just have to say I’ve never been more interested in a game I’ve played thousands of times in forever the story’s you make and the background you uphold is just top tier mad love brother more stories please 😂😂😂😂
@50:52
"You, the door, this is the Imperial Guard! Stand up, put your hands in the air, and turn around slowly. Looks like you were trying to break into this building here.
On the ground, I'm counting 3, 4...6 broken lockpicks, and it looks like you're holding one as well, so don't give me any humbug about "excercising" with knee bends."
This was relaxing & entertaining 👌 love the Elder Scrolls. I hope in ES we'll be able to join the Morag Tong. Badass group of assassins!
Entering Grelods house the most reloaded save game in the entire series
Scott describing a light rain as "noncommittal" had me dying
great playthough to have in the background while working bro!
Compare that, to what you/what Michael had said,
(Third person context used here, to convey thoughts to anyone reading this,**)
Had said about Askleladd, and his thoughts about the Dark Brotherhood.
Maybe his redemption arc starts around the time Mercer Frey betrays him and he starts becoming a Nightingale?
A truly dark Ending for this dark episode curious to see were it goes from here...
Shouts out to fudge for all of the content given fr 🙌🏻
"Darkness rises when silence dies" I think it means when the NM's silence ends darkness- the void (Sithis) will be sent souls. That's how I interpret it.
Fudgemuppets a fookin legend I reckon Bethesda should hire the lad
