  • John from www.discountjuicers.com/ shares with you his bulk juicing tips so you can make a week's worth of juice in a single hour. You will learn how to buy produce in bulk, the best juicer to use to juice in bulk, general juicing tips, how to make a green juice, and how to best store it so it can last up to a week when using a slow juicer.
In this episode, John will share his knowledge of juicing that he has learned over the last 25 years, so you can save time, and ensure you preserve the maximum amount of nutrition in the juice if you choose to store it.
First, you will learn how to buy produce in bulk, and some of the stores that John purchases his produce. You will also learn about purchasing wholesale produce and why John recommends organic produce to juice in bulk.
Next, you will discover that some juicers are BETTER and some are WORST for juicing in bulk. You will learn why you probably should not purchase a cheap Chinese juicer to juice in bulk.
You will then learn about John's favorite juicer and why he prefers the Omega VSJ843, over all others he has tested. You will learn how you can make enough juice to go on a juice detox, juice cleanse, or juice fast in an hour by making nearly 2 gallons of juice.
Next, you will discover how adding lemon, lime, or even vinegar can help preserve the juice. You will learn about the two major enemies of juice and how it can go bad with storage. You will learn an uncommon tip on how you can reduce bacterial load in the juice you are making.
You will learn some of the juicing accessories that are critical for juicing in bulk, including a cutting board, 2-quart glass collection cup, and most importantly, mason jars.
John will then share his green juice recipe with you and all the produce he is juicing in this video so that he can make enough green juice to drink for the next 7 days. You will then learn the basics of juicing in the Omega VSJ843 or other vertical juicers. You will see John juice all the produce including 4 heads of organic celery, 9 heads of organic romaine hearts, 6 organic cucumbers, and fresh-picked kale from John's garden.
After Juicing, you will learn the most important aspect of juicing in bulk: Storing the juice. John does not fill to the brim and seal the container as virtually all other UA-cam videos preach. Instead, he removes the excess oxygen out of the juice to ensure it doesn't oxidize by any significant amount. You will learn why using the proper vacuum pump is critical for even de-airing the juice to remove dissolved air bubbles in the juice.
The Blendtec Vacuum Pump and Stainless Steel Vacuum Lids are not currently available. Please check my other videos for videos on these products once they are available, which should be within the next 30 days.
You will then discover the correct temperature to store the juice in your fridge to ensure it lasts as long as possible so that you can do all your juice meal prep in 1 hour a week so you can drink juice all week whether you are on a juice fast, a juice detox, or just want to drink juice every day.
After watching this episode, you will know how to juice better than most juice bars to preserve the highest level of phytonutrients in your juice.

Hey I want to thank you for all the videos you've put up over the years. You have inspired me to eat healthy and IT HAS STUCK. I've eaten probably 10x the amount of veggies that I used to the past 12 months or so.

Thank you for all you do and for your AMAZING tips, John. I now cut my produce into 1/4 inch pieces with my Nama Juicer and it has made a world of difference! No more clogged machine, more juice and much easier cleaning process! I was thinking of returning machine before I tried your tips! I juice vegetables along with a few fruits. The carrots, celery, beets , ginger and tumeric were causing problems. I now cut everything in 1/4 inch pieces as you suggested! What a game changer! Thank you Again!!!

If you just juice carrots, you should definitely add lemon and/or lime if you want to store for a week in the fridge. I’m currently juicing 1/4 of a lemon plus 1/4 of a lime (or just 1/2 of a lemon) in each 1qt mason jar of carrot juice, otherwise it won’t stay for more than 4 days. I also use my vacuum sealer to seal the mason jars tight.

John one thing I have noticed recently is that Aldi has started to improve the produce it carries and is also including more organic than previously. I think they are making an effort to up their quality and prices usually good (avocado recently .57 cents ea. and they look better than in past) also carrying wider range of options organic banana .59 cents lb.) Also I’ve found you can use the food saver vacuum to seal store bought glass bottles by putting them in one of the food saver containers allowing non mason jars to be used in vacuum for those the food saver adapters won’t work.

Freeze it. I have juiced since 1992. Make what you want. There are no rules. Change it up, IF you want to. I usually have kale, cucumber, celery, apple, lemon & ginger & a carrot/apple juice. I also make fresh OJ in the morning. I use a Hamilton Beach juicer & have had it for about 22 years. I also have a back up. 1 came from Kmart & the other came from walmart. Both work great. You can ask the produce person if they have items that are over ripe . being thrown away- etc.... That can save you $. :-)

I do many things. I dont use creams. Just jojoba oil, and the buff pads + sugar and oil scrubs. I do many other things as well and hope to make a video on it one of these days.. Of course, my skin is nourished from the INSIDE out, where it is made, with a myriad of fresh juices that contain a wide variety of phytonutrients. Which IMO is even more important than what you put on your skin,.

What is your opinion of adding some of the fiber back in for some juices and then blending in vacuum blender with juice (for example with mango, etc.) I love both the Greenstar and the Tribest Slow Star and I have vacuum blender and vacuum container for Vitamix (who really seems to still be resisting vacuum blenders in their line). It is true, Omega is having challenges with customer service. If this bothers people, people should look for alternatives. I agree. I was in contact with the manager of customer service for omega and they are short staffed, and new staff will be hired soon. We are also in the middle of the virus that is upsetting many lives. If you purchased your omega juicer from discountjuicers, I ensure all my customers get faster service them contact them directly.

A drink with kale, pineapple, & apple with the vsj843 caused a lot of foam. Does this mean that air was crammed into the juicer?
Is there a way to avoid producing foam with these 3 vegetables?

The pineapple and apple really make foam, especially if they are not hard(firm).

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  3 роки тому +3

All those ingredients may foam. Its important to rotate and precut ingredients as I Show to minimize foam created. try to put an apple in the juicer at the same time when juicing kale that may help reduce.

    • @discountjuicers

No. The vertical juicers usually clog when things are not chopped. The Omega NC800 or Green Star Pro/Elite does not require chopping at all.

Things in time worth doing take time :). Getting an easier to clean juicer can help. We all have priorities in life, for me Juicing is one of them, but I understand it may not be this way for everyone.

A tip that I use is this: I have a playlist with about 10 good songs that put me in a positive mood, which I call “juicing playlist.” I press play from the moment I start setting up until I’m done with cleanup. As you get more efficient at your juicing (and you will!), you will find that you finish your juicing with fewer songs played. Maybe one day I’ll get it down to 2-3 songs.

I am so tired of the racket on money making. Now I just watched a UA-cam video on you and purchased a juicer that just came yesterday. I paid over $300 for that juicer. Now I'm getting a video climbing that this juicer it's going to be the better juicer I guess, haven't finished watching the video due to frustration. Are juicers getting better as the money gets better to say that they are? I would hope not I always felt I could trust you.

I encourage everyone to watch my videos to get the most recent updates. Juicing technology has not changed significantly in years.

Very easy to assemble ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxXHNfxr6U9XrHQpsdjUrKNVP231BfS9q9 disassemble and wash. I had a juicer before and remember how much work was to wash it and how little juice I got for this. So, I was sceptical and that's why I did a good amount of research so I don't get disappointed again. So, I picked the Hamilton-Beach 67608A model and I am glad I did. Now, this is a totally different experience! It is powerful and squeezes every ounce of juice so the pulp is almost dry. It's simple and easy to take it apart for washing. I put a plastic bag in the waste container for less cleaning. I am glad I picked this model as it is smaller in size, but delivers the same power as the larger one.
