So… you didn’t do the questline with Artemis or put in any real effort… and you didn’t think to visit the space anomaly (which you can find within an hour or two of starting fresh) where all the weapons are… like the boltcaster (which I’m pretty sure comes stock on your multitool), neutron canon, plasma launcher, pulse spitter, blaze javelin, and scatter blaster… like there’s literally a research tree where you unlock these at a terminal in the space anomaly… you can literally see noobs all over the space anomaly with the starter ship and yet it seems you somehow miraculously haven’t encountered it yourself after “hours” of gameplay… Kinda sounds like you had your mind made up and just kinda half assed everything?
Yeah fr Plays SF for 100 hours Doesn't even do the first quest in NMS "Starfield is better" Like my brother in Christ it's fine if you like starfield and not NMS and it's fine if you decided you dont like NMS within the first hour but this video is worthless lol
You must be a video game journalist. There are weapons in No Man's Sky (Boltcaster, Blaze Javelin, Pulse Spitter ) you just need to research them and add to your multitool.
Yeah I suspect more hostile enemy’s to encounter is on the NMS dev to do list as well they seem to tick off every criticism that moves up into pole position as they come along. That’s why one should play NMS really I mean just look at what they achieve compared to SC Elite or Starfield only really EVE Online can match their lv of support for their game really.
Schrodinger's Starfield... When you compare Starfield with Mass Effect or Cyberpunk and guys like you pretend that Starfield is a space sim, then we compare with space sims and you pretend it a rpg...
I would have no problem if you simply preferred Starfield over NMS. They are different in some pretty fundamental ways that I think a comparison is an apples to oranges (or Origins..lol) kind of thing. However, it is clear that you've barely scratched the surface of NMS and seem to have had your mind already made up before you even started this process. I've played both games and while Starfield is a solid game, it rings pretty generic. The constant load screens were a headache and really do pull you out of the experience. NMS surely has it's flaws and still could use a more thorough gameplay loop. However it just feels fresher than Starfield though it's almost 10 years older from a previous gen and I still have fun when I play it, even today.
Starfield is a classic Bethesda game with a future "space" theme. It is not an exploration game but is fun rpg story and some ship battles. No Man's Sky is an artsy exploration, resource management, some rpg story, and creative community base building. Different styles and reasons to play.
1) Write some short bulletpoints before starting to record. Just for yourself, to refresh them in you're memory once again. Even if you will forget some lines, at least you won`t panic. 2) Don't do obviously biased comparisons, or you gonna be ratioed to hell 3) Work on you're diction man, that`s really problematic. Try to read outloud books, and try to voice act lines. 4) Cut out frames when you inhale. That's more like friendly advice, not a critique. 5) You`ve got too much empty space on screen. Flag of you're country is important, but you can put in to the right, or even behind you. If you go with so much space, and put in so much shots, when you just talking, with no need to use that empty space, whole part seems unnatural and defocused. Watch ActMan, or someone else, who is experienced in self-recording, and pay close attention, how he moves and edits the talking parts. Good luck, and i hope you will make it!
These are two completely different games in terms of what they represent. Starfield is a more or less streamlined story driven action game with a little bit of exploration, whereas No Man's Sky is an exploration, adventure and survival game with a little bit of combat and a basic storyline. Both are very good games in their own field and both also have their flaws in their own field. Having said that, you really need to play No Man's Sky at least for 100 hours to get an idea of what the game offers. But if you don't enjoy the exploration and survival aspect and do not feel the sense of wonder why you are there and what's your purpose in the universe, it's just not your game. You need to have fun exploring, crafting, improving your abilities, weapons, starships, freighers, exocrafts and want to be surprised by the many additional storylines and missions you will encounter. I started playing No Man's Sky only in VR about three years ago and i was hooked just after a couple of minutes in the game. I am now 2300+ hours in and play it almost every day. There are players with 1000+ hours just on one save. Not sure how long you want to play a single save in Starfield.
NMS is game you came to see what is about for a few hours and ended up with hundred bof hours. Starfield is a game you came to be around 100 hours and force yourself to play at least 40... But you you choose to do the opposite... The real question is: what a heck is wrong with you?
It's fine to have issues with the tutorialised start of the game, but it's important to point out that this can all be skipped entirely by starting a custom game, where you can tweak many values to provide a better suited individual experience.
What I understood: Starfield is better because it has guns, while NMS is not a FPS game in space, so it's boring. Maybe you could tell us more about the planets, galaxy, economy, quests, main story, just anything than graphics and guns.
I played Starfield to level 100 and Played NMS over 2910 hours. I like them both. But NMS is infinite because it is procedural. I can never imagine playing 3000 hours in Starfield! 300 is more than enough for that game (until they drop the DLC at least)!
NMS is like Minecraft... There's nothing to do, you pave your own road. And this sucks to most people actually. I've been waiting for years for a "Story Update" for No Man's Sky, but I guess it's never coming.
Thanks for the video. I really don't like base building and grinding so I'm so glad I never bought No man's. Also I find Starfields fasttravel very good as you quickly gets to action.
They both have the what the other is lacking. NMS needs better quests, story and NPCs. Starfield needs better exploration that is open and not separated by loading screens. If NMS could add that missing piece it would be amazing.
Games hit people differently and each person will have a different experience. Theirs no right or wrong answer. Gamers will always find something to criticize. It’s just the way it is. I enjoy both of these games, are they flawless? No, no game is, I think we are all just spoiled.😂
skipped to end and heard exactly what other comment said about guns, 180 subs at least try properly in your videos if you want to get big time and play the games
I wandered into your channel randomly and bro… stop making videos when you’re high. It’s so obvious. Write a speech down and get to the point. Good luck out there lol
Bro nms been better than starfield since starfield came out. The only thing Starfield had over nms was the graphics. Now nms looks good enough that it doesn't even matter. Also holy crap your explanation of nms was the most basic, simplistic shit ever. Like you didn't give the game any chance and it shows. The amount of things you can do in that game. And the idea that seamless transition from space to planet is not an improvement on the 50 cutscenes in Starfield is so dumb. Why make the vid in the first place?
Star field has been hemorrhaging players since launch and can’t seem to turn it around. Meanwhile the NMS community experiences consistent annual growth despite the rocky launch they were forced into.
Lmao I agree 💯 Percent my guy . Starfield is hands down better and with mod support takes it to another level man . I have 100 hours in both games . Resource management sim basically no mans sky. They have weapons but everything is a super grind 😂
anything cinematic / cut scene sucks. If it's really, REALLY well made, it can be a good for a 1 time watch. After the 100th time, not so much. NMS is a pretty much close to perfect game. Also the game should be experienced in VR, then you have full / natural scale of everything, that puts any "cinematic" shit to shame, leaving a planet or whatever you do is just super immersive and epic. Combat, you can have it in the first 1 minute, if you want. You have a weapon from the start.
Macklin, You're selling yourself and No Man's Sky so incredibly short. As your other comments have mentioned, you phoned it in. You didn't put the effort or time into giving NMS the same level of attention you've given to StarField. Having a bias is fine but you shouldn't ever let it taint your perspective and experience. You do not need 40 hours to get anywhere, you missed a lot of cues in the 8 hours you purportedly gave. As a fellow Creator, I know you can be better than this. Being a Bethesda fan is one thing but you have to admit that they really haven't innovated in the 10+ games they've created that are Role Playing adjacent. I can say this as a Bethesda fan since they started. No Man's Sky is Hello Games' second title. They've done more with 8 years of iteration, adaptation, and innovation within their engine that Bethesda only wishes they could do with their engine. Everyone has their tastes but I firmly suspect you did not give NMS a fair shake on this one. Thank you for the video, your perspective, and for sharing your opinion. O7
he is only here to talk smack about a free game. There was absolutely no reason to compare them other than shitting on the less-funded game. Starfield is 100$ vs No Mans Sky is FREE GAME!!. that's a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE. this whole video was basically made to complain how much he don't like the game while downplaying everything it actually good by comparing to directly to Starfield. 😒😒
I respect your opinion. Everyone has a different opinion on what a space game is supposed to be. But I think its obvious that you didn't put enough hours into the game. Sounds like you scratched the surface and slap a review score on top of it. Should've put 40 hours into a game like you would for any other game.
@@TheMusikalChristian appreciate you, and you’re right I didn’t play enough of the game to give a proper review. I was trying to make a point in the video how I was a brand new player trying out the 5.0 Worlds update, and in 8 hours of gameplay couldn’t come close to accessing new exciting content. the beginning of the game is just slow, but overall it’s definitely a cool simulation of space and I see how it has so many fans!
NMS is a tremendous game once you get over the initial hump. People are hating in the comments but I 100% agree as a new/returning player from 2016 that the initial part of the game is a boring slog and probably the weakest part of the NMS experience. NMS is one of the most incredible space sim ever made. Starfield is a mediocre rpg, mediocre fps game, and the WORST space sim, all in one game... Today space games / sims are doing stuff like newtonian physics, orbital vectors, structural integrity. simulating a economy... and Starfield can't even do seamless transition transition? Worst that that, the RPG aspects sucks... The story is dumb, and mediocre, world building is bogus and idiotic, characters are retarded, atmosphere is a carnival of bs... Sometimes copying games like Cyberpunk, sometimes Alien, sometimes even some of the Marvel bs.... THE STORY SUCKS! Gunplay is outdated and pathetic, go play some cyberpunk to do some crazy fun sht... Space sim part is basically a turret section disguised as arcade gameplay... Starfield isn't fun, Starfield is a Bethesda messterpiece.
You are totally clueless and giving a very uninformed opinion. Viewers should steer to other reviews where the combat in the NMS game is properly reviewed. This person barely got pass thee first few steps of the tutorial. It is a truly uninformed review.
I know you got a lot of haters, but as someone who has hundreds of hours in both games, 100% in both games. I feel that comparing the two games is not that good of a comparision. Nms is closer to a minecraft type sandbox enviroment, where starfield is a trademark bethesda game. Dont get me wrong both have their pluses and minuses. This video and comparision is almost like comparing the sims to knights of the old republic
i mean. he deserved it on this one. compare 2 different game in terms of gameplay. i would be ok if he actually tried to fully instead of only skimming the surface and then end up comparing to game that is backed by far more larger company and the No mans sky is free game.
both games are totally different, im not saying starfield isn't fun but for what it promise and what it deliver, theres a huge gap, todd always being one of the biggest liars in game industry, and yes is a bethesda game, all bethesda games are pretty much copy and paste on different enviroments on the other side, nms isn't for just play, you need to look some videos n wikis to grasp the basics like minecraft, if not yeah you gotta keep just gatherin minerals, once you learn the basics the game opens a lot, i agree it feel a lil injust trying to compare both if you didn't even try to get a good grasp of what NMS has to offer, is like people that don't like dark souls just because they can't get past the Asylum Demon, like bru finally, play whatever u like, having fun the important thing
it was to randomly shit on a Free game made with full of passion and compare it to his biased Starfield game that is backed by already well-established company. the point of him comparing it to Starfield is just here to beat on a far less funded free game and also glorify his biased game.
Hey!! I have over 7000 hours in NMS! At 8 hours you didn't even start the game!! get out there and put some time in! until you do that your review isn't worth a glance!!
I have played hundreds of hours of No Man's Sky and it is childish, outdated graphics, ridiculous story. Absurd combat. Nothing seems real. What good are trillions of planets if everything is algorithmic and repetitive, with unreal distances. It doesn't catch me. It seems like a bad joke. Starfield is immersive. Great story, dialogues dubbed into my language, realistic physics, good graphics, good exploration. I feel like I'm really in space. It has risk, romances, good combat. Well defined features. Starfield is a sum of Mass Effect + Elite Dangerous. For me the best. When I met Starfield I didn't play No Man's Sky anymore
Thanks everyone for your comments and input, this has been a spicy one for sure!

Overhauled Visual Effects: Including new nebula effects, particle rendering, and water rendering improvements
General Engine Improvements: For shadows, object rendering, terrain generation, and performance
Enhanced Base Parts and Solar Ship Customization
Basically anything you could think of has been done, except for multiple biomes per planet which isn't a huge deal seeing as it takes less than 1 minutes to find a new planet. Plus Worlds Pt.2 update might just include multiple biome planets.
This video and comparision is almost like comparing the sims to knights of the old republic
i mean. he deserved it on this one. compare 2 different game in terms of gameplay. i would be ok if he actually tried to fully instead of only skimming the surface and then end up comparing to game that is backed by far more larger company and the No mans sky is free game.
both games are totally different, im not saying starfield isn't fun but for what it promise and what it deliver, theres a huge gap, todd always being one of the biggest liars in game industry, and yes is a bethesda game, all bethesda games are pretty much copy and paste on different enviroments
on the other side, nms isn't for just play, you need to look some videos n wikis to grasp the basics like minecraft, if not yeah you gotta keep just gatherin minerals, once you learn the basics the game opens a lot, i agree it feel a lil injust trying to compare both if you didn't even try to get a good grasp of what NMS has to offer, is like people that don't like dark souls just because they can't get past the Asylum Demon, like bru
finally, play whatever u like, having fun the important thing
Pac Man is better than Starfield!
I didn't quite believe you for some reason. Sorry. 😂
What was the point of this video 😂
it was to randomly shit on a Free game made with full of passion and compare it to his biased Starfield game that is backed by already well-established company.
the point of him comparing it to Starfield is just here to beat on a far less funded free game and also glorify his biased game.
Oh my... This video is a freaking joke.
I mean even a sci-fi game from 1999 is better than starfield.
mate , you are boring . all what you said for 13 min. might be in 3 sentences
the first 2 hours is the least fun cause you have to grind the material i cant play starfield its terrible honestly
i feel like this guy didn't even try and just here to complain about the free game😒😒.
Hey!! I have over 7000 hours in NMS! At 8 hours you didn't even start the game!! get out there and put some time in! until you do that your review isn't worth a glance!!
omg you have no idea what you talking about.
This is a terrible review
Your video is boring
