The Schott Double Rider a.k.a the Perfecto AKA the first motorcycle leather jacket with a zipper a.k.a a jacket a stupid 24 year old wears thinking maybe one day he will get a motorcycle until his gf tells him he's an idiot. One of my favorite jackets but one I barely wear (trying to break in a denim jacket as we speak). Do I like it?! Do I LOVE it!? Yes yes and yes. I never know what to write in descriptions. I want to boost production of my videos a bit and I think I'm going to do that on the next one so 100% subscribe and go tell all your thousands of friends i'm sure you have. Okay that's it time to go do something else now.

The Iron Snail is a men’s fashion vlog starring a young man named Michael and featuring a snail no bigger than a quarter. The two are set on taking over the world of fashion by creating a clothing line to end all clothing lines. Until then, we’re here to tell you EVERYTHING you need to know about the best clothing out there, from the highest quality raw denim jeans to the warmest jacket to the sturdiest boots…the Iron Snail has got you covered. (written by Taylor, though Michael is sometimes known to talk about himself in the third person… xoxo)

Epaulets are super old school, they're originally for holding a cloak onto you as opposed to having a tie in the front of the cloak at the neck. This makes wearing a cloak way easier and more comfortable. They may have come from shoulder armor pauldrons on a coat of mail, which typically had some kind of attachment point for a riding cloak... so putting it on a motorcycle jacket kinda makes sense in a roundabout way.

Just saw this video and the jacket featured is an 526 UR - Schott Collaboration with Urban Outfitters. In the video there is all kinds of numbers mentioned but really no clarity as to what it actually is and in reading some of the comments here, didn’t see the right model number mentioned.

For us guys who have more muscle in the shoulders and back, the footballs are useful, especially if you do any kind of work in the jacket.

I hear what you're saying about buying from an original creator however, when it comes to the crosszip jackets, there are so many options out there by incredible Japanese makers that create with some very incredible leathers. I've had a jacket ordered from a seller of Fine Creek Leathers and have been waiting on it for a verrry long time. lol. So many delays due to the covid-19 pandemic and whatever other reasons. Nearly a 1.5 year wait. I'm convinced that this is my ultimate jacket and so I am willing to wait. Fortunately, I had been able to try on the smaller size and so i do know what I am in for.
If I recall, about 6 years ago, I had purchased a Urban Outfitters Perfecto, with the pebble leather, and either I couldn't appreciate it or it hadn't fit me the way I had wanted... cannot recall. Ended up returning it... however, seeing how great it looks on you, that might've been my mistake.
The Perfecto raven has been pretty nice and I still own that and its fairly similar to the Urban Outfitters except its created with lambskin. it turned out to get a little big on me, after I lost some weight a while back, and so now it kind of just sits in my closet, lol.
Either way, congrats on your perfect crosszip! Love the clean back and minimalistic look. It's a wonderful thing to discover you perfect leather jacket!
p.s. Still on the lookout for a used Freenote Shearling Rj-2 to pop-up sometime however, I don't think people are ever going to get rid of one in my size. I might have to suck it up and get one retail price. That thing still looks incredible to me... (Would love to see an updated video from you on how that thing has started to fade, that is, if you've had enough time to wear it amongst all of your other jackets to even amply fade it).
Thank you for your fantastic videos. Very apparent that you have good taste.

Did you run into any problems taking your leather jacket into a tailor? I own a Schott as well and I’m incredibly nervous to take it for alteration

It is said that top grain leather is slightly inferior to full-grain leather. However genuine leather is much worse than full-grain leather.

    epaulet - ep uh let.
the first syllable, ep, rhymes with rep. the second syllable, uh, rhymes with duh. the last syllable, let, rhymes with bet. so, it sounds almost like applet, except the first syllable is ep. love your reviews, dig your style, wish you and your girl the best. salud.

What denim jacket are you wearing? Also why is the 519 the jacket that you want? It has polyester lining. Have you looked into the high end Japanese brands like himel and real McCoy ? Their a lot better

If you’re looking for a great fitting “motorcycle” style, I recommend Straight To Hell. Just for fashion only. Personally I find Schott jackets way too heavy, makes them uncomfortable while riding. A good riding jacket would be Roland Sands, all accept armor for protection.
