Thank you so much for doing this review. I have owned my Taylor Stitch Moto for about 2 years now and I have been patiently waiting for someone to review this jacket. It is my absolute favorite thing I own!
@@TheIronSnail That's actually a funny story. So when I first got it, because its my favorite jacket, I do the dumb thing and only wore it occasionally. I live in NY so the weather isn't very forgiving. Then one day when I was in grad school I wore it to one of my evening classes, and had it on the back of my chair. It was fine until I went to go put it on and I had an opened pen in my hand that I was reaching for it with. I made about a 4 inch pen mark on the left shoulder. I panicked! The stain was much easier to remove then I expected, I just used some saddle soap. But now there is a lighter circular area in the leather where the pen mark used to be. Oh well, it will all fade together some day....eventually....hopefully. Otherwise patina is coming along nicely!
Hahaha oh that’s the worst! Toothpaste is usually my downfall because I’ll forget that I’m wearing the jacket and I’ll spill. I’d love to see pics one day!
Have you checked out Aero leather jackets? Made in Scotland, by hand and are really well made. Also can have them make a jacket bespoke, all for pretty much the cost of a TS. Can also get fur lines, or Harris tweed. Think you’ll dig if you’ve not seen them before. But this Moto is next on my list, absolutely beautiful dude.
@@lawrenceh7182 Yeah I actually see a lot of Aero jackets that I like, in a similar style to the Moto, on Ebay. From what I have read they seem to be quality jackets
Looks awesome, great review! You said a tall person might be out of luck with this one, meaning someone with a long torso would find it difficult to get a good fit? I am about 6 foot two, 205 pounds and I was thinking XL?
Correct, more panels = cost savings, less panels = more production cost. I have a Levi's copy cat of a Schott leather jacket. If I was standing next you in line, you wouldn't notice but if I placed the jacket on the table you could see it has so many panels and it looks like each one came from a different hide. That's one of the many ways they got the cost down to $300 and still have a huge profit margin.
As a motorcyclist I would recommend actual motorcycle jackets with padded protection over a designer leather jacket designed after a cafe racer style jacket. The real deal will have extra reinforcing and be slide tested.
Nice review. I have a similar jacket, the Anderson which Golden Bear made for Butterscotch LBC. Mine was a little more expensive, but made with Horween horsehide.
When I look at the Ramones (band) pictures schotts jackets Johnny and dee dee where a chain on their shoulder ? What is that for ? And can I find that now a days ? Great channel
that is literally the best looking leather jacket o know off until this point. I really hope to get one my self. I came few times back to this and jecket collection of yours to just look at your jacket. Ok photography and style is also the thin that makes me banch watch them
Thank you!! No real thoughts on that jacket besides the fact that I love the lining! I really wish it had a ribbed knit bottom though, it looks a little too flowey/open to me. Do you have one?
@@TheIronSnail I am, possibly, going to buy a pre-owned one, later today. Still thinking. It's already chilly, here in Canada, so it might not be the best time to pick-up a Harrington. Thanks for the response! Already looking forward to the next video.

I ordered the new banded color version in Espresso in the latest run. This review makes me even more excited to get it. Love your style. Liked and subscribed , my friend 🍻
@@TheIronSnail Mine just came in today. Overall love it, just as you liked yours. Pros: Totally agree with you on the quality. I have quite a few Tyler Stitch (TS), Billy Reid, Schott and Todd Snyder leather jackets and to me this feels like the most substantial heirloom quality of them all, really feels like something to be passed down generations. Cons: color is unique and nice but more of an earth tone green than pictured. Also, ...while the overall substantial quality, weight, details and warmth are all quality rugged and cool...in terms of fit and style I prefer the TS Cuyama leather jacket that I had purchased last year. That one is more of a perfect slim fit on me... but that’s partly because it’s not insulated like this one, so definitely not as warm as this one. I probably like them both equally, just very different these ways.
A lot of those double zippers are tricky to use. Not sure that YKK is really a "good quality" zipper brand though. All the cheap Chinese eBay jackets use YKK.
Nice! Picked up a GB Moto on Grailed end of summer. Found the same issue with bulky sleeves - the lining should pack down though. The prior owner lives in Cali, so not much wear yet. Looking forward to breaking in this Fall/winter in the NE! Thanks for the review and always great stuff with T&H. Cheers!
Dude, I really enjoyed this review and learned a lot! Tbh I often find your conversation style a bit hard to follow and rambly (I’m sure many people love that though🤘🏽), but it was not the case with this one. Really great mix of humor and knowledge/argument. I think the extra material in the upper arm is the main knock against this one. Anyways, thanks again, and I genuinely can’t wait to watch the Schott review. Gonna check your Freenote reviews soon 🙌🏽
I wonder if the “mis-matched” leather panels was done on purpose. Mine is the exact same on the arms. 1 panel is very smooth and the other is very ‘pebbly’. Just like yours.
I think this jacket is discontinued. I bought the last one from Huckberry. And the sizing is actually smaller than Taylor Stitch's other jackers like the long haul, I usually wear a 42 long haul but had to get a XL on the Moto jacket
I guess they sold out of this model 😢 thanks for the reply, your content is so high quality that it is just a matter of time until the energies come back a solid support of viewers

dude you can have a motorcycle. just have to drive safe. life is beautifull in two wheels. try to talk to your girl, she shore will understand. that way both will enjoy.
The only thing I dislike about leather jackets and seemingly many riding jackets in general is that they look and feel very short in the torso. My brown leather jacket seemed to fit too small and I'd always be afraid of showing my back or ass crack when sitting or riding my motorcycle. I also had a Rev'It riding jacket and that was too small, so I ordered the extra large and the only significant difference is in the sleeve length and looser fit; the torso still felt way to short. Not sure why these jackets always seem to fit really short around the waist but it does get annoying.
Good for you to have that kind of girl.... so that you can put your ultimate decision on the table. Buy her the jacket as well becouse she's gonna need one riding on the bike with you. . .. or not. She will decide

The double zipper has utility. It's so the bottom doesn't bunch up and poke out when you're seated on your bicycle you wish was a motorcycle.
