- 2002 Mazda Protege. Same general idea works for most cars. Dirt is abrasive. Embedded dirt in the belt frays the nylon or polyester fibers over time, making the belt unsafe (& disgusting). I don`t have money for a new belt, I have the time to wash and scrub.
Seat belt mounting bolts: 39-78Nm (29-57 ft-lb)
Seat mounting bolts: 37-53Nm (27-39 ft-lb) - Авто та транспорт

I'm trying to replace the rear center seatbelt of a 2014 mazda cx3 but i cant get it to come away from the seat. Any tips?

If i take it out wont it retract all the way back and lock?
my seat belt wont go back in. any advice on how to fix it? 08 honda accord
The coil spring mechanism inside might need cleening, lubrication at the bushing where it rotates the drum. Lint and fiber clogs from the belt. Take it apart, clean it. Not meant to be serviced, probably riveted or fitted with tamper-proof fasteners that need replacement. There might be a switch around it, part of the air bag system. No video yet.

what does that one wire do? I did this but now my airbag like light is on. i don't know if it was this or something else.
It leads to a switch that supplies feedback for airbag operation. There is another wire under the seat running to the belt buckle. Both are "always closed" for normal airbag function. I never opened the switches, but looks like something came loose during removal.
Well that narrows my search at least, I'll check the connections.

+Eric Lopez fixed it! one of the wires was bent in and didn't connect. just out back in place with tweezers.
