Barkeepers friend has oxalic acid and you also get the same results. Probably a bit more expensive to use but works fantastic on tannin stains like this .
Next time mix 2oz of dawn or laundry soap per gallon of water and mix in pump sprayer. The soap will help stick to boat. Pressure washing guys use oxacid this way all the time and have excellent results.
Great video! Thanks! We just got a slip mid 23’ and have not installed a lift yet so this is helpful! Just want to confirm, I assume post acid wash you did a normal wash, polished, and waxed?
Ive always dropped the Stern on blocking and slid the trailer out until it can be reached. You can also jack the hull up, make sure everything is secure! Wheels chocked, and as much as possible, winch line attached and tight.
No. I've a few fiberglass boats over the last 6 years or so that I left in the water (freshwater) from May till October. No osmosis, no blistering, nothing except the scum.
I also lost a layer of my Cornia and did damage had to have my eye dilated for over a week to allow it to heal and that was with saftey glasses on... due to a dumb employee that cant understand how a sprayer works lol..its powerful at 1 cup..
Thank you. Much appreciation, excellent job.
Thank you!

Be cognizant that dawn removes the wax so you'll want to wax your boat after using it
by editing soap to the acid you ruining the chemical reaction and weakness it
@@dano3345 the acid did that anyway!

Yes, post acid, wash and wax.
How would you clean under where the boat sits on the pads of the trailer?

Does this effect your gelcoat?
I’ve been cleaning this way for 4-5 years and have noticed any difference in the gel coat. It’s amazing how well this works.
Have you ever gotten osmosis from leaving the boat in water that long?
No. I've a few fiberglass boats over the last 6 years or so that I left in the water (freshwater) from May till October. No osmosis, no blistering, nothing except the scum.
Just put 3 heaping table spoons in a 1 gallon sprayer with warm water..and spray away..this looks painfull
at the marina I used 1 solo cub in a 2 gallon sprayer and did beautiful..
What is a solo cub?
@@TheGravygun solo cup ..freaking auto correct
Toilet bowl cleaner will do the same thing… Look it up on UA-cam!
I tried that with a couple different types of toilet cleaner, and none of them worked as well.

Not even close to the power of oxalic acid
