    Holding yourself accountable is important and admitting to your faults but beating yourself up for indulging in temptations creates a never ending loop of self hate leading to trying to escape those feelings through eating,drinking or whatever. Keep on going you definitely got this. Be disciplined, admit to your faults and be real with yourself but don't talk and think about yourself badly, convince yourself you got this, and be the person you want to be.

    I think that while you’re disappointed, the admittance of what you did is so brilliant. Some people would let the shame swallow them up and would never admit it but you’re able to admit what went wrong and why it wasn’t good for you. I’m also glad I found this video because it is nice to have a video that I can relate to about the eating problems and the guilt. Super proud of you, you got this! ❤

    Who doesn't love food? Some people find real comfort in eating, so it's very hard to stop. That said, huge respect to you for taking responsibility for falling off the wagon. I personally have a problem with alcohol and when I watch videos of people drinking, I have find it hard to fight the craving.

    You got this Brenda! As someone who's also struggled to find a healthy relationship with food for most of my life, it's a struggle that's difficult to truly understand unless you've also been there. Progress takes time, but it is always within reach, and it's important to remind yourself of that when you're picking yourself up from a misstep. To echo what others here are saying, good on you for having the bravery to share this with the world, and keep it up! Every day is a new day to do better and reach higher :)

    this popped up in my recommended. you got this! getting to where you want to be is a fight, and its not always an easy one. healing isn't always linear either. giving in to a craving doesn't mean you're a failure. If losing weight was easy, everyone would be thin and there wouldn't be such a push for all this weight loss and dieting nonsense in our media. It's something a lot of people are insecure about, and that's okay. you aren't alone, brenda. we're rooting for you. you're doing great

    I understand how hard it is trying not to binge I use it to cope with SA so I hope you're okay. I genuinely believe in you keep going and try your best to keep dieting, you can do this. I wish people could take our eating disorder seriously instead of calling us lazy.

    You got this, grandma! We all struggle with weight issues, some more than others. I’d say stop eating anything after 6 pm! I’ve done that and lost 12 lbs within 2 months. But once we age, it’s very hard to lose or maintain a good diet and weight. I’m still overweight by 16 lbs! 🙏

    who ever told you "you don't look like it" is a horrible person, if someone told me that while I was heavy set I would've spiraled too. Trust yourself and not some ignoramus who doesn't know your journey, keep going you've already made really good progress!

    Thanks for sharing. I know the struggle with weight only too well. But everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect they are probably just better at hiding their inadequacies. And if you fall you can always get back up on the horse so-to-speak. Best of luck and don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise. :)

    Keto is an insanely hard diet to maintain. It does work, but slip ups can undo a lot of progress. Try not to beat yourself up, try to reflect on your temptation and identify what you can do to avoid them. That process takes time though, you shouldn't expect it to be instant! Especially with a food addiction. A lot of people really underestimate how bad eating disorders can really be and how hard it is to change. You CAN do this. You CAN make progress. Every little step is a success. We believe in you. You are strong, beautiful, and brave.

    I have also gone through many of the same things. I know you feel like you failed, like a disappointment. But please, no matter how many times you fail, no matter how many times you feel disappointed, do not give up. Even if you fail 100 times. All you need to do is win once.     Admitting to your own faults and holding accountable is the absolute first step sometimes! We all believe in you and know you are well on your own road to happiness and health!
    I learned recently in my life how important it really was to embrace and admit my own mistakes and i have been doing much better since (progressively)
    So i know you are on the right track :)
    Always remind yourself of where you want to be and the progress you have under you already!

    Thank you for your bravery in sharing about your struggles! I encourage you, if you are spiritual, to research nearby food recovery groups in your area. I highly recommend groups like Celebrate Recovery -- they've really helped me and many of my closest friends with their deepest struggles. You are not alone in your struggle, and a relapse is not the end of the world. It is important to forgive yourself, not because what you did was okay, but because God forgives you and wants you to move forward with your progress. It is important to recognize you had a part in relapsing, but it is important also to not beat yourself up because you cannot go back on the past -- only forward in the future.
    I'll be emailing this to you as well :) I wish you well Brenda! And congratulations on the SIGNIFICANT progress with your weight. It is nothing to scoff at and you are doing great. Keep it up!

    It’s okay just stay consistent and it’ll be worth it even though it’s hard you’ll feel a lot better once you do it
    I myself struggle with weight but I’ll get ahead of myself and eat foods I know I shouldn’t and later feel disappointed but I’m 40 pounds down and I have faith in you I hope this journey goes well for you and stay consistent and stay healthy ❤

    It's not how many times you fall, but how many times you get back up. I find enjoyment in making foods i crave with alternative healther options. I freeze cool whip mixed with some peanut butter as a healthier "parfait". It's really about scratching that itch with what you can use but keeping yourself full enough by eating the proper stuff. If you are doing keto you get the benefits of enjoying high fat stuff and my favorite cheat when i was on that diet a few years back "lost around 12 lbs", was a cheesy lettuce wrapped bacon cheeseburger and they usually net around 3-5 carbs.     Brenda, I have done the Keto diet twice, first time I lost 60 pounds and second (this time) 50. We all slip up sometimes and fall back into bad habits. It is a journey and there will be highs and there will be lows. Your body will go back into ketosis and having a cheat meal (while you should try not to regularly) will not ruin everything. I understand being disappointed in yourself, just try to do better in the future. Number one way to have a successful diet is to learn to tell yourself no, It is hard but you CAN do it. You can also eat anything you want in moderation so it doesn't hurt to have a small amount of things you like while dieting, just have small amounts. I believe in you Brenda! I also have issues with binging and food addiction, I understand how much of a struggle it can be but you can ABSOLUTELY do it!

    Pretty brave to put yourself on the Internet like this, we need more people like you who are honest and open about these battles. My mental trick someone told me, ‘it’s not a diet, it’s a change of lifestyle’. And I think that’s a really important perspective to take. A diet implies it’s temporary when what you’re asking for is an improvement and investment in yourself.

    It's important to know that most diets fail, a lot of people quit after a few months or even weeks and the main reason is because they fail once and then just give up. It's expected that you'll mess up at some point which is why you should always count your wins, not your losses. Try counting the healthy meals over the times you gave in.
    Also, having something to chew on can help in times when you feel super hungry. My girlfriend uses chewing gum but you can also use things like dried seaweed. Crunchy pretzels or pretzel sticks are also a good diet snack, they can really fill you up and they're also quite low calorie.

    You know what, it's a great thing that you're trying to lose weight by having this system in place and taking responsibility for your actions. Don't be disappointed in yourself, you've come a lot farther than most. With hard work and dedication, anything is possible. If you were able to do it before, then you can surely do it again. Don't let people's discouraging and disrespectful words get to you. Even if they say you don't look the part, you know you made progress.

    Try not to feel too disappointed. Keto is a very tough diet to stick to. I know lol. Yesterday i had ice cream, chocolate and pizza 🤢. N ive gained back the pounds i lost. The struggle is real but not impossible. We can do this!

      Keto is very effective but insanely hard to stick to. It def doesnt work for me, its just too easy to lose progress. I would encourage you to try other strategies if you find it too difficult, like it is for me. You can do this. You can make progress. I believe in you

    Maybe what I say can be a little calming idk. But I think you're definitely doing perfectly fine. You are on a diet and you do have diabetes so I can't speak on those issues and how it comes with eating. But what I've learned through changing my own diet is to let it be a transitional thing. You shouldn't be so hard on yourself for indulging in foods you like once in a while. We all get cravings every now and then. I'm a firm believer that little changes go a LONG way. What I've taught myself to do is like making small habit changes. Say you usually get a coke, next time get a diet coke or. an orange juice. Say you get a lot of junk food, just try having less junk food the next time. Little implements like that make transitions so much easier, instead of just a whole 180 on your life. I sometimes eat out and then think "Okay well I've eating a lot, I'll get sushi instead of eat A&W this time. I'm at a point where I'm not eating out as much anymore, but I wouldn't have been able to get to this point without that middle spot. What I'm saying is it's alright to enjoy things once in a while, eating a few chocolates won't ruin you, I do get that feeling of disappointment, though. But we can always move passed it. Overtime certain food portions and meals will be a lot easier to take, trust me. Also don't listen to negative people who discredit your effort. Those people don't matter and we can't let them interfere with our goals. You're doing wonders and I wish you the best on your life journey :)

    Since you said excess movement can be painful for you but you want to exercise, maybe you could try swimming exercises or even riding an exercise bike could be less painful for your back. I’m not a professional, but I want to help!

    it’s ok girl sometimes we need to listen to our bodies and eat our cravings as long as we don’t all the time but you know that you didn’t stick to what you wanted to stick too and that’s what matters. and remember when you feel full stop eating so you don’t get sick and don’t eat our cravings foods all the time but know we all support you on your journey and love you
