I came here for the comments. They don’t disappoint 😂. It’s a $10 folder that was intentionally tested to failure doing things a folder isn’t designed for. I’m surprised it didn’t fail sooner. Look at it as a burner knife, you won’t miss it if it vanishes.

D2 can be super hard and not very tough....I learned that the hard way too. I know it completely depends on the individual tempering, but I now consider D2 blades to be 'slicers', not for prying or batoning or general heavy use as an all around tool. My edc is just an workhouse that has to do everything; pry, cut, split, hammer, drive screws, scrape things clean, dig......
This was a torture test meant to result in failing the knife, this was requested by my subscribers. Though there is some D2 I have ran across that is pretty tough. Heat treat makes the difference.
Thanks for this test to failure. Most hollow grinds have relatively weak tips, and can be made to snap off like that. I think it did great for a $10 knife. No chip out failure too!!... good heat treatment.
I'm actually impressed. I was worried as crazy as the live streams were I was worried that the steel would be excessively brittle. It's blurry but the color on the grain looks right for a good heat treatment, light grey powder. A bad heat treat would have looked more like black and silver sugar crystals, but I'm sure you've seen it before too if you knew to look at the grain.
I put mine in a car crusher the other day the damn thing broke !!! WTH lol just kidding. Good video to see how these things go appreciate your time and I will subscribe to you. It is a good knife.
good stress test can you do a boker or another one of greater value just to show the dif in quality .Personally I love it great knife for a person of less means to get into knife collecting or a Mother on a budget to make a kid Happy id love to had one as a kid 50 plus years ago and you put it through the motion but most would have used a fix blade but plz do the same to another knife with the same vigor you proved notinge but you can break a knife part 3 would be good let us judge . I would recommend this knife to anybody. Im not looking for clicks pandering for freebys from knife companys just amazed what 10 dollars and Wallmart is offering Good Job Wallmart
@@brianblackman1477 I torture tested this by request. It was always going to get broken somehow. People wanted to know how much it could take. It really surprised me that the lock didn't fail or the blade get chipped. I will look around and see what other knife I could get to torture test.
@@philochristos No problem, there is a lot of hype on it. I do think it will hold up to most regular use, I was surprised the lock held up. Short of snapping the blade it did well. Not something I'd want to have in a survival situation but it would be better than a sharp rock.

For $10 bucks it's a good knife for that price. Most people won't be cutting notches out like that so it's impressive it handles that aswell as it did. It's very hard too make a axis lock fail honestly. But for the abuse test you put it through I still think it's worth buying for $10.
@arkansas_edc I was shocked by that also watching you Paton with it. That kinda indicates that it's most likely definitely D2 and even probably heat treated good. Because I know some have questioned if it's real D2 and how well is the heat treatment.

For 10bucks as long as your not hammering it would be a great knife for somebody. I would say hrc is not what it should be because I've done worse testing with a eafengrow. Im convinced it's only a letter or package opener

Is it worth the 10 bucks at Walmart for this knife. I would say yes. But for the people that are on eBay selling this knife for $30 or$40,no way. Take your 30 or 40 bucks and buy you a really good knife for the money. Just my opinion....
Price points on most knives are way out there! It costs Benchmade 27.00 bucks to make one bugout no thanks! Petrified Fish Beluga 45.00 bucks same D2 is better!
While this probably doesn't rise to the level of 'really good", it easily falls into the category of "pretty good" and is top of the "surprisingly good" level. Any knife made from D2 will bend and eventually break with the abuse in this video. It's an inexpensive folder that is an absolute steal for the retail cost. The eBayers are just looking for suckers and will wind up sitting on these...if you think Wal-Mart doesn't notice this sort of thing, trust me, they do, and will increase availability as needed.

It's a ten dollar knife if you buy one and it breaks throw it away and grab another. Dude! You hammered the tip of the blade into a hardwood log, then you pried it sideways, and the tip snapped off! No wonder. That's like breaking it on purpose. Honestly It could be that or people genuinely wanted to know how tough a $10 Walmart knives is... It's over hyped right now and a crazy amount of interest is being directed at this thing. People also been asking me to do Cold Steel. I've noticed though videos of a knife getting used gets way more views than just talking about them while they are Shiney and unused.
