BM sucks still. Massively overpriced for subpsr materials and subpar heat treats.
@@KingKsEDC our experience differs, as a Benchmade user for going on 15 years the only bad experience I've had was with an Infidel which was caused by my own doings. The warranty though was a breeze. Expensive, yes but really not much out of line with other companies. Heat treat never been an issue on my end. Benchmade Cruwear, S30v, Magnacut performs much the same as Spyderco....
The bugout doesn't make that sound, but it's also not riding on bearings. It has pivot bushings. The one OT knife I own sounded like that, but two drops of oil fixed it. I would rather have the Ozark Trail because it is more substantial in my hand, and it has full length steel liners so it doesn't flex nearly as much as the Bugout. I have carried it for a month, and it has served me well. I have sharpened it about 6 times and it always comes right back to a razor edge. That being said, to each his own preference.
Go ahead and send that USA knife my way. I'll take care of it for you.
Yeah buddy !!
Dummy, who the fk would need a knife for that reason, they are made for cutting. I've owned 20-30 Chinese knives they all sucked. Your dumb ass needs to find a better American made knife
Its a great knife for $10. Sharp and not afraid to loose or use it .

@@chrisk8376 Fixed blade is best.
Why test a product in a way it was not made to be used
@@alecwhite11 you can fail this lock cutting plastic banding, stabbing, or doing tip work. These three things are using an EDC knife correctly. This is 100% Tactile Knife Co's mistake. Absolutely unexcusable.
The real, true bugout killer is the cjrb pyrite lite, especially the one with rose gold. It's $30, but doesn't cheaply compare to bugout, it completely compares to it in so many ways. The knife if better than half of all the other pyrites, and it's half the price.
@@jameswhoever3730 if you use your Knives, discovery will lead to something much different.
Beautiful buck.
@@philchristmas4071 Indeed...
Dude! You hammered the tip of the blade into a hardwood log, then you pried it sideways, and the tip snapped off! No wonder. That's like breaking it on purpose. There is no knife ever made that can withstand that kind of treatment. Why would anyone ever do that, and what practical purpose does that serve?
@@CumberlandOutdoorsman it was on purpose, it was done intentionally. This torture till failure demonstration was requested by several subscribers and a few other UA-cam channels. I may be known for some willingness to do something other than talking spec's and showing how a knife opens and closes.

@@melroberts4543 the Gerber is OK...
Neither folding knives are junk
@@Demon-dl4sy that's one opinion, and I would have agreed some years back. There are modern folders with incredible strength, still not quality fixed blade strength but on par with certain budget fixed blades.
I wish there were some way to identify these knives long after you've lost the packaging. I feel as though I have a mossy oak knife that was the one and only one they made. I can't find it at any store and I can't even find a single picture of it on the internet.
@@alexolivarez732 most of the time it's an unidentified stainless, usually of the 420 or 440 type.
@@arkansas_edc and that's my biggest question. For being a mossy oak knife it is the easiest to sharpen, sharpest and most edge retaining blade I have in my entire collection. I only wish I knew what the blade material was. I dare say it feels like a high-quality Spyderco blade.
@@alexolivarez732 weird, no model # on the knife?
@@arkansas_edc no it just says mossy oak on one side and China on the other, just like every other cheap Mossy Oak. I sure wish it did. I wish I could show you a picture of it.

@@Dr.TbOne34 tell me you know nothing about these knives without telling me you know nothing about these knives.
I must have gotten lucky. I bought two of them and they both work perfectly. I have no complaints at all but I wouldn't go out into the bush with it as my only knife. I always have a full tang fixed blade with me
@@charlesmckinney kinda not a great way to sell knives, when people get lucky to get good ones. There are several other UA-cam'rs with mixed QC issues but get excused by 'it was only $10". I bought one because of requests for a destruction test. I also would not be out and about with only this as my blade. For a few dollars more there are tons of better options that inspire more confidence. Civivi and Eafengrow being a couple of better options. Still though it's only $10, and it is definitely king of $10 knives.
Looks like a gem!!

@@jimmiecrowe520 definitely a solid design on this one.

@@the_knights_edge seems alright!
Any suggestions on a nice big chunky blade like this, but it's a recurve? I've noticed theres not many recurves anymore and for what i use my knives for, i love them.
@@Shiznittlebizbampop1 do you have a budget range you are looking at?
@@arkansas_edc say from $50 to $400. I would DEFINITELY like it to be a folder. I've had my fun with fixed blades and OTFs (Not like there was an ACTUAL recurve in an OTF, or at least that's an actual brand and not made of out Chineseium lol) hopefully something with a at least a nice D2 steel or better.
@@arkansas_edc and to make 100% sure we're talking about the same kind of "Recurve" I have 2 expectations. 1) the blade (cutting edge) literally has an "S" shape (On the front end of the blade be more machete like, for chopping, but still has a nice point.), and 2) not be serrated anywhere on the blade. (Chimping on the spine is fine and somewhat preferred. But I also like to have a blade that has pegs on it, or can be opened by the flick of the wrist. It doesn't need an "auto opening wave" from the pocket. But it wouldn't be a deal breaker of it DID have one.)
@@arkansas_edc Thinking about it. I know I'm asking a lot of you. But since your channel is a bit smaller (And I've been subbed for a little while and like your content btw. Definitely keep it up!) channel, I felt I'd probably have a good chance of you actually replying to my comment. And if given, I could send a picture (via Email) of the blade shape I'm talking about just so we are both 110% on the same page. I have this really old no name knife I've owned forever. With cheap plaster scales. But I've always loved it because of the blade shape. And I use it quite often even though it's old and been put through a lot (I've even had to make my own edge on it several different times just from the use over the years) but it still looks basically brand new, other than the cheep plastic bits lol
@@Shiznittlebizbampop1 Benchmade 710, Microtech Amphibian, Both Microtech and Heretic knives have recurve OTF's, Toor Chasm, ZT 0350, Benchmade Grizzly Ridge, Cold Steel Spartan or Rajah are a few.

@@carlstone2393 😂 guessing you haven't watched a single other video I've got up. Way to judge incorrectly.. Keep doing you though.
The Swiss Tech is designed as a bushcraft knife. The blade is more of a wedge shape, that is why it batons so well... The sheath for it sucks though... Other than the welt the leather is so thin, you can almost see through it. Making the handle without ANY kind of finger guard was also frankly stupid...

I got one a few weeks back, it is the best knife for $10, for sure. Tried to buy 2 more to mod them, and they’ve been sold out ever since. 200 ppl had them in their carts on my Walmart app for the store I was picking it up from, so I guess I’m lucky for getting the one. I sanded the blade with 2000 grit wet/dry sandpaper, so it looks like it’s black wash now. Next step, dye the ugly orange scales. Mine was perfect as far as blade centering, detent, action etc. This just shows you that all these knife companies are charging way too much for what you get. Walmart will have a 20 dollar Chinesium sebenza next year probably lol either way, it’s gonna be my beater at work knife. Might be the best “gift” knife going these days.
