I like what that skyviper is continually making better drones. My last GPS drone from skyviper har some battery issues. But this one seems like a solid flyer. GPS hold is nice and stable for this drone. Even though you can't fly it to far away like other GPS drones I think that's a good choice. I believe sky viper intentionally did this so beginners would take it to far and have unintentional fly always. I know many beginner drone pilots have fly always and I think this is there way of staying safe not o lu for the consumer by possibly any future issues for themselves as a company. The new follow me mode is a great idea especially for a drone that's is right around $100 that you can by at your favorite big box store. But the follow me mode isnt perfect. Overall I think it's a great drone for a beginner or some one looking to step up there drone game and not break the bank. Very decent fpv video good GPS with some minor flying quirks for around $100! Keep it up sky viper cane wait to see what's next next year!

The Skyviper Journey drone has a great camera, much better than the Visuo Battle Shark one. A note of caution, on the Skyviper the battery does NOT need to be unwrapped. It looks like it has a plastic wrapper on it but when I tried to remove it, the battery caught on fire...pretty big fire. By the way, the above video is great! Very helpful.

Yes you can fly it right out if the box...the battery does have a little charge.. just don't get to carried away cause it will soon die...I didn't have any of the issues this guy did.. I'm very happy with mine and really surprised on how easy it is to fly.. the drone and the phone app is very user friendly.. for the price...You can't beat it..new out of the box that is...
Here's one for you. Bluetooth on your phone, interferes with 2.4ghz wifi signal since the signals are within .5ghz of each other. Your lag should go away when you open 2.0 app, let maps update for location, then while still in app go to airplane mode. From there turn wifi back on and connect to drone. Shut other Bluetooth devices off in the vicinity.
Bingo excellent point. Also before that it the drone should be calibrated the accelerator then magnotometer (compass) then the engine calibration then the 6 axis gyro unplug drone wait 5 mins restart drone and it will work fine. I had to do it on mine.
This is the best skyviper to date it has everything a hobby grade drone has you can set it up how you like in it's interface or mission planner
I add a range extender to the controller and looking to add one to the drone WiFi to get longer range with the app because the only downside is that the GPS work through your cell phone

I have one and is in good condition. I retired it after 29 flights. I routinely used it for practice flights, obviously it can't be used for commercial purposes. But I had a lot of fun flying this drone. Now it rests in my house.

About time they put gps on the vipers 2016 i had my dirst srone and it was the sky viper v2400 and i had just brought it back in for a battery change and instead of me launching from the ground i did a hand launch showing off to a friend soon as my drone got high as the tree lines and power lines it held position then started to mo forward on its own then took off from me never found my viper till this day lol but i gots to have the Sky Viper Journey GPS Video Streaming Drone all because the v2400 parts fit this drone i have tons of props, chargers, 1 controller and extra batteries for longer flight time I love SKY VIPER DRONES
I bought the Scout instead of the Journey this time around and the new position hold is neat since it's not using GPS. You can assign acro mode to a button on the transmitter on the new 2.0 app and I appreciate that little bit of hobby grade customization. That said, you're right to say these Sky Vipers are toys and should be treated as such.

i like the scout more because it’s cheaper and the extra money that you spend really isn’t worth it because the scout is already a ok drone and the journey isn’t much better
@@gamieguygaming2461 Any chance the Journey is more stable in flight? I know the 1080P vs 720P would be nice for my needs...but I am not sure the camera quality is really good enough of these to make a difference.

You have to calibrate the accelerometer then the magnatometor then the engine then the 6 axis gyro then unplug the battery and restart the drone then it will work fine. Mine was glitchy but after the calibration smooth as silk.

btw if you don’t install the firmware update in the skyviper 2.0 app it runs a lot better
The battery telemetry is pretty accurate, only updates every 1 minute or so. It was accurate down to 3 percent. I got about 15 minutes on this. I did buy a bigger battery, 1200mah, i had to strap it to the bottom. I got about 25 minutes with the bigger battery

It's funny learning the new modes I smashed.mine up n no actuall damage considering how hard it's hit the range is okay but for having a camera I'd like to be able to go further also the RTL mode sucks BC it will loose connection to controller n it will drop height n hit any objects in its path it should stay high until it's home location then lower altitude!!
Dustin John You can change All of the parameters of your Journey by going to the address of 192.168.99.1 while you are connected to your drone by WiFi

When my drone has low battery, from nothing goes up and i can not control it, is that normal?
I updated my phone a few days ago now the app keep saying error when trying to enter password please someone help also tried with my gf phone that isn’t updated it worked
I have one, I broke down one day, I stopped flying and I fell face down and kept giving off the control. Then I wanted to fly it rose 5 meters and then swaying lost control and fell to the side and crashed to the ground after barely rising and losing control and tilting to the side I do not think they are the propellers because first it rose normally and after 30 seconds that happened and I wanted to take it apart but I don't know if anyone can tell me what the problem is.

No. The drone broadcasts it's own wifi that u connect ur phone to
I know this is pre pandemic (that means years ago), but I am watching the battery as your screen pops up and you went from the 96% that you stated earlier to what it appears to be 54% when it started to land. That is 40% drain in only a few minutes (unless you've edited some of the footage for time sake). Man, you would need to have a few batteries and a portable charger. I'm sure the drain is a lot faster than the charge time, so I am sure that by the time you drained all your batteries, the first one would still be charging. It looks nice actually, and great video. I saw that they want $99.00 at target for this drone. I'm not sure that's worth only 11 minutes of flight time. I guess it would be great for checking fence lines quickly.

I just got the skyviper journey an I love it. This is my first quadcopter an by far easier then I thought it was gonna be. Straight out the box it flys almost perfectly. My only complaint is it won’t stay in one spot when hovering. How do I fix that.

Make sure you do calibrations and set up your flight modes.

I got this drone and for some reason it just lost control and got stuck in a tree, also the land and return to home controls didn't seem to work.

Follow me mode on this never works
My sky viper journey takes off flys for 2-3 minutes controller beeps then drone loses power falls to the ground then it's back up. Why please enlighten me.
Wow odd. Either fight controller is bad and is somehow overheating or a bad battery. Have you tried a new lipo battery
That's not true you can definitely skip the firmware update! Mind you it is obviously better to update your drone. And what your problem is you need to switch your flight mode by hiring the normal or sports mode button there is actually four setting by holding throttle to the right n hiring the normal/sport button while change you to controller setting two and in the new firmware update you can manually hanger those settings

just got this drone and cant get the app to work? We can connect to the drone Skyviper wifi but then never get past the first page on the app where it tells you to connect to the wifi? Any ideas?

My motor burned out on this drone 2 days after christmas day on the front right from top view. E g drone sat on table and ur looking down at it

You can override the return home function just by holding left on both joysticks for 4 seconds
How do you kill the motors. Like emergency shut off I tried both corners and it went nuts.

Does this drone have to be linked to wifi to fly?
I bought one it worked until I DLed the app and will only connect when connected to wifi. I want to be able to fly without the phone or wifi.

The Journey sucks!!! It drops about 10ft after and frip or roll. It also drops when you stop from full speed and also if you turn around without stopping.
I returned it and got the navigator morph by propel, $30 cheaper. Has a better camera, flight stability, faster and longer battery life
I have the Viper Scout: ua-cam.com/video/k7JW3WRM3b0/v-deo.html How is the battery life on this one? Your video looks less jerky, but still is not very stable. I would assume not you but the actual drone...or was it windy? ..in the video link of the Scout there is pretty much no wind and it is all over the place.

I did also and it worked great. Nothing wrong with the follow me mode. walking in a 15 foot circle isnt pin pointing the gps.

There's only one word that describes SKY VIPER. And that would be the word ,TRASH! I mean sure it was a great drone at the beginning when I got it. Then it would just fall to the ground shortly after lift off. The GPS hold keeps going off and on constantly. So I go to the website which only points you to troubleshooting which you find another website that's worthless and then you see light at the end of this long tunnel? HELL FUCKING NO!!!!! THEY GIVE YOU A PHONE NUMBER TO CALL THAT'S NO LONGER IN SERVICE!! WHAT A BUNCH OF FUCKING BULLLLSHIT!!! So there you have it all the truth about this headache of a drone. Don't believe anything they tell you because all they want is what they worship. The almighty dollar. Thank you, and if anyone has something to say to me about my language and profanity... like UA-cam or Google, I just have to say in advance,..
