I've had 2 of these. Motors went kaput in both of them after only a few flights. I now have a Journey, but haven't flown much because cold/wind. We'll see this spring.
I like mine, great entry level drone. $140 USD to get a feel for flying a drone with camera. Not the best flight time, but with some research you can double the battery capacity using some Lipo batteries from China.
These guys are not going to say anything bad. But I got one Christmas 2019 from my stepson (pretty Dope he got me a drone) he helped me get it going and it was awesome. Then the trouble started 🤬 my app for it would not work, then it just stop flying and responding! I was mad, 😡 but,,,,,I’m going to take it back and “TRY” again! Going to give them another chance......
The flight time is the entire reason I'm replacing this drone.. I bought two other batteries. It is literally 5 to 6 minutes and then it's coming back due to a dead battery.

Same, total piece of shit! Happened to me twice, first time ended up in the water and I was able to exchange it and the second time it ended up in the woods and I could not get it back to exchange it. Tried calling the number on the box and instructions, but it it out of service...
I need help PLease! I just received my gps journey drone. I did everything as instructed to do initially. During the update it said connection lost please reconnect which puzzled me because I was sitting about 5 ft from my wifi and have never had a "connection lost" with anything else so, I set it down and left to use the restroom thinking it would reconnect and correct the problem on it's own after about 5mins nothing was happening and the lights were still blinking so I checked the wifi sky viper connection and it said it was connected but the update bar was only about half way, I waited another few mins when the controller turned off itself. I unplugged the drone and powered it back up and the controller also. Now it tells me update successful but I don't get steady lights they just remain blinking and gps won't lock. It stays like this until the controller powers down on its own.
I wouldn't recommend it, it's a light toy stunt drone that flies for maybe 7 minutes on a full charge and probably wouldn't fly for five minutes with a load, while it's easy to crash it as it is! You'd be much better off with a bigger, more expensive drone designed to carry phones and cameras! 😯😀🤘
Is this drone still working? What rating would you give it now? What's the flight time NOW compared to new? 2-3 months can really change a persons perspective. I know all you guys want views, but lets be real... make a video like a real person. Would you tell your son, it's a great toy. (yeah? for a week or 2?) be Real!!
bugs 2W gps drone is the same price and about three times as advanced. I flew my bugs to 500 meters straight-up and still had live view feed. my bugs to went up so high I couldn't even see

In terms of the drone's main function, flying and doing stunts, it works well enough and is good value overall. However if you were ever able to change and use it, you'll have found two big problems with it, that its' battery life is terrible as is its' video app! It flies for maybe 7 minutes before it needs a half hour charge for another 7 minutes flight, while the charging cable is very hard to connect and disconnect. Its' video app is so bad and hard to connect to, it's basically unusable and they had a ton of bad reviews, while the app itself has now been deleted off the Play store. I messed around with mine for a day or two about a year ago and was only reminded about it when I gave it to a charity shop today - hopefully some kid or teenager has some fun with it, flying it ten minutes out of every hour in their backgarden as it's not much good for anything else! 😯😂🩲😀🤘
Skyvipers are absolutely trash The app needed to livestream videos doesnt work at all the drone wifi is at best spotty within 2 ft and nonexistant outside 2 ft which means you cant record video Save your money and buy a quality drone... Wish i did

I've bought two replacement batteries and neither one of those work any better. Not to mention the video signal is crap when you're flying it. This thing needs a lot of work. Flight controls are awesome flies extremely well but that's about all I can say good about it.

When the new FAA rule becomes effective, Viper will be perfect for 107 pilots. (allowing drones weighing less than .55lb, to fly at night and over people. All my other drones are too heavy.
Just got this drone for my father after watching this video. Terribly disappointed. It's nothing but a toy. Tiny underpowered motors, cheap flimsy plastic frame, the slightest breath of wind blows it away.

There's only one word that describes SKY VIPER. And that would be the word ,TRASH! I mean sure it was a great drone at the beginning when I got it. Then it would just fall to the ground shortly after lift off. The GPS hold keeps going off and on constantly. So I go to the website which only points you to troubleshooting which you find another website that's worthless and then you see light at the end of this long tunnel? HELL FUCKING NO!!!!! THEY GIVE YOU A PHONE NUMBER TO CALL THAT'S NO LONGER IN SERVICE!! WHAT A BUNCH OF FUCKING BULLLLSHIT!!! So there you have it all the truth about this headache of a drone. Wow. Nice quad. If it only had a stabilized 30-60 FPS 1080p camera this would be a Spark alternative.

Typically there is a trim button, maybe there is a way to trim it??

flys well.!!! fun.it doesn't come back when out of range. batteries only seem to last about 5 minutes and skyrocket cant ship them to Canada.

Why are they showing the 1200mAh battery but this comes with a 650? Just review the stock one and note that you can buy the bigger battery separately.

You have to go through a whole calibration setup. It took like 10 minutes of setting up before I could fly mine. Got it for xmas

dirtyred246 sounds about right, I got one for Xmas and with GPS mode and taking 2-3 pictures I got about 7-8 minutes of fly time.
