This is a song Stevie wrote while we where hiding away in Chile about a girl named Cecilia we had met, while hanging out at a beautiful little coastal village named Zapallar. It was never released or finished
She's working the song out as she goes. This isn't a finished product. It's a writing session. She's doodling around and going about her creative process. This is songwriting, people. Fuck the haters
Stevie NIcks needs to release these hidden gems as well.. all the demos .. even Beauty and the Beast is awesome.. infact everything she sings is incredible.
@JeremyRemixes yes, the music DOES sound like sisters of the moon. and trippy is the perfect word to describe it. i love her old drum machine demos. thanx for posting!!
Hauntingly beautiful...you dont always need to have a perfectly produced piece of art ....sometimes in its most simple form a creation (at its very beginning stages) is where its most Potent magic resides....
I am a huge Stevie fan, don't get me wrong but by god I'm glad it turned into Rhiannon though in my opinion the only thing that bares any resemblance is that chord progression!
Also nothing ever "turned into" Rhiannon. Stevie wrote the lyrics to Rhiannon in one go after inspiration for it struck her. It didn't evolve from another song it was always it's own.
Yes. She had signed a deal in 1978 w/ Warner Bros. to write the score for The Song of Rhiannon. I'm STILL hoping that this ends up being realized by Stevie...at some point.
Rhiannon Board Tape It's a demo tape not Rhiannon the song. It has Rhiannon on it, but this is called Cecilia. Yes, the chords are similar to what ended up being Sisters Of The Moon.
I love such songs. They are montonous, but thats good since the chords are gloomy and the vocal parts sound so witchy and dark. If something sounds so good, it should be repeated over and over again. The song "Neverland" by The Sisters Of Mercy (the full length version) is also hard to find on youtube, and also very dark and montonous but also in a good way.
I love this song Stevie. I have a little rat terrier who is a female and she was constantly thrown out into the field and the busy road by the big gigantic ditch around us. and she wandered around alone during her puppyhood and making noises and wandering and wandering she followed people home but they didn't want her they told her to go home. She was neglected the people didn't take care of her until they found that I had her and I had to fight for her. She is so protective over me that she has fought off two cottonmouths that tried to attack me. She is such a loving little girl and this song Matches her so much there is no fear in her eyes and she did wander around and the sounds that she made were very high shrills she has a very high bark and she's a very loving little girl and I love this song I named her Cecilia.. Before I found this song. I play this for her and she turns away as if she's embarrassed to hear it. I wish you would finish this song although I'm just glad to hear it. and she has very beautiful eyes . Andrea.
I could hear Sisters of The Moon buried in there somewhere before it was born :)
I heard that immediately. Awesome. Can't believe I didn't run across this before now. Grrr...
YES!! You are right!!
Good ear.
You’re so right!!! Awesome 👏🏼
Yeeeessssss!!

That would Be awesome.
Yes especially Cecilia and Beauty and the Beast. The Beauty and the Beast she did at Red Rocks was the best performance of that song.
She needs to release a box set of all her songs and demos, I would pay for that!

This song is amazing!!!
All of Her Songs are Amazing!
Another great demo! I am working on my guitar cover of Ceceilia!
I could put on my long velvet dress and dance with my man all night to this.
Raw, haunting, transcendent, compelling, soulful, sexy and beautiful.
She Touches My Heart like no other😍

So cool.... thanks for posting this rare gem!
My name is Cecilia and I love Stevie soo much, guess how happy I am now
That's my grandmother's name, and I have loved Stevie for more than 40 years and had no idea about this song so I am happy too :)
@@Jojoseahorse Amazing!! 😍 It's my grandmothers name too 😄 that's why I have it.
@@natfanforever And of course St Cecilia is the patron saint of music so it is fitting :)
....a little funky.....
.....a little sultry....
......a little Stevie ❣️
The keyboard sounds like Madonna "music" :P but this came waaay before even madonna :P
it sounds like they were working out the arrangement & sound. Beautiful song.

The title is confusing. It implies this turned into Rhiannon but also says this tape was from 1978. Rhiannon was written in 1974.
Also nothing ever "turned into" Rhiannon. Stevie wrote the lyrics to Rhiannon in one go after inspiration for it struck her. It didn't evolve from another song it was always it's own.
This is from a collection of songs that was to be used in a movie based on Welch mythology and stories written by Stevie

Sounds like a Garageband track
Where do you get these, Jeremy? They are FABULOUS!!!!♥️♥️♥️
This the real magic
Sounds more like Sister of the moon.
ARIZONA...YEAH,
Music reminds me of Sisters of the moon.
What's going on? Is she just hitting keys
One White Rose...again...🤍🌷
I swear I hear the A5 G5 E5 F5 E5 F5 in Sisters of the Moon
Lindsey help!!!
lmao this comment is so funny
I like Stevie better without Lindsey and Mac. This is clearly a very simple demo but, still haunting and beautiful.
@@nolanwinter5401 Everything is better without Lindsey :)
and yes I recognize he is a great guitarist, arranger etc but he's just so, so yuck in every other way.
@Moon Child Fair enough re controlling. But what womanizing are you talking about?
