It is always so brave to share these personal stories. We shouldn’t have to. But it’s so important that we do. Thank you for being brave and true to your soul and your art, Stevie ❤❤❤
It’s a child’s life. Not yours, not hers. A separate living CHILD. She’s all but bragged about abortion. Zero shame. We live in sick self centered times.
I think it's worth mentioning that her having the baby would not have affected Don Henley or the Eagles. This is the way it is for so many women, that the consequences almost always fall on their shoulders, even when, as in Stevie's case, precautions were taken to avoid pregnancy.
You guys never mention the effect on the baby that lost its life, and by the way that was Don Henley's kid as much as hers but he had zero say in whether that kid lived or died. If people don't want a kid don't engage in the activity that creates a kid, she selfishly flushed away that kid's life so she could continue touring with a band.
Love to you, Stevie Nicks, the ultimate Rock and Roll Goddess. How terrific you had a best friend for life and even now that she has moved into another dimension. That is very rare. How fortunate are you !
Stevie Nicks is the most incredible singer of the '70s when she was a member of Fleetwood Mac. Now, she is a single singer, or a solo singer, and she will continue to make more songs.
Thank you so much for speaking out, we needed this. Maybe it can be the begging of a new movement women desperately need. I'm concerned about young women and college sports too? Did we not already fight for Title 9? We can't go backwards, we need to stop this insanity against women. Again, thank you so much for your voice. We need more people like you to speak out for the younger generation, they need support. Thank you so much for doing this. I always knew you were the real thing. Love you. Age 71, fan girl forever.
Absolutely love her- seen her and Fleetwood Mac many times and it never gets old. Thanks Stevie for speaking out - women rights are human rights and we’re exhausted being treated as 2nd class citizens! Vote Blue up and down the tickets. When we fight we win! LFG!
Good Morning I never saw her live, but I love her music and I'm glad that she's still making music that empowers fans. Especially women. Though I'm a male I support women's right. I was raised and supported by many women in my family including my mother, grandmother, great grandmother great aunts and aunts who taught me the importance of education and showing and receiving respect.
She's celebrating ending the life of her kid at its most vulnerable, when it cannot even survive out of the womb, and all so a band wouldn't break up. A MUSIC BAND was more important to her than the life of her own kid, that is the height of selfishness.
We are always talking about abortion and saving unborn babies that is not our business. What about all of the children who are living and being killed by their parents, school shooting etc. we have some control of that but we refuse to discuss that.
Saw her last month. She is the it woman for us older men. Beautiful, artistic, funny... the ultimate hippie chick. I'd see her read a phone book. Once in a lifetime talent.
To me, I think that was a mature decision to make. She knew she wouldn't be 100% in either capacity, to the band or the child. So, as a dude, I understand.
"it would have destroyed Fleetwood Mac." That "it" was a human life, that today would be around 45 years old. Sad. Avoiding the destruction of one, causes the destruction of the other, which was infinitely more important.
While I applaud her stellar career and longevity (she is a force of nature and her voice sounds wonderful), honor her place as queen of rock n roll status, and Fleetwood Mac is my favorite band for over 40 years, I will honestly say she really has become unhinged the last 4-5 years - after firing Lindsey , Covid response in 2020, and now this. To be fair abortion went to the states to decide it is not BANNED. I am pro choice but this hysteria is unsettling. I say this with kindness - she should either retire or focus on her remaining years writing a bio or preserving her amazing legacy. She never had kids and she explains her choice (maybe she is just a narcissist and could not be a mom), but Lindsay has a family and 22 year marriage and seems happy, I wonder if this is what drives her constant need to create drama with him or focus on petty grievances from 40 years ago? RIP Christine - the true heart and songbird of FM!
I'm pro choice, but even advocates for that have to acknowledge the selfishness of not taking responsibility for your sexual practices and terminating a life because you don't want to have to give up some of your career for someone else's needs. Pro choicers want to have their cake and eat it too. If they would at least admit the nuanced reality, they would have some integrity.
I have been a huge fan since the beginning. I have a whole new perspective now. Stevie aborted her baby in '79 cause it wasn't convenient for her. God let you be pregnant & you killed that life. Despicable!
Cocaine and stardom over a human life what a sad perspective. I have seen Fleetwood Mac live and love them and their music that said an innocent life is well and innocent life.
Why did she have an abortion? Why couldn't she have her baby adopted? Her baby didn't deserve to die!! What kind of person and be on national television and show no remorse for murdering her baby!! Her career was far more important than human life..how selfish!!
This is why choice matters. You believe what you want to believe. Do what is best for you….but know this, you don’t have a right to- nor should ANY human being have a right to - impose your beliefs on another. You don’t get to decide what is right for a woman. Vote blue up and down the ticket!

Why do random people think they get to have an opinion about random other people and are so arrogant they think their opinion matters. Your opinion is the least important one in the universe. As long as Roe is overturned, I will make it my goal to find things where my opinion doesn't matter and force my will upon you just so you can get a clue.

Stopping a unborn baby's heartbeat, inside its mother's womb, is Stevie's "stand up" moment Sermon? .. I always knew that Stevie's career was to saddle herself to Lindsey's Songs and ride them to FAME... but, i never imagined that she is actually this utterly immoral.... But if it keeps her career going, i guess, she had to try it.
It’s absolutely not immoral. It’s her right to choose whatever life she wanted for herself. As she stated, she took precautions and it failed. Just because she choose not to be a mother, doesn’t give you any kind of room to pass your unsolicited judgment on her. If you disagree….keep stepping…this is not for you!
Her and the remaining Fleetwood Mac members are long overdue for their Kennedy center honors for their contributions to American culture
I totally SECOND that.
Shocking it hasn't already happened.
too late for Christine
Agree! They are legends.
She is a national treasure. Thanks for speaking your truth Stevie.
Thanks for speaking out, Stevie Nicks! Tim Walz has it right "mind your business".

I’m with Stevie. As a 77 yr old, I can’t believe that younger women have lost the right over their bodies that I had.
There IS no right to end someone's life without due process of law.
It’s a child’s life. Not yours, not hers. A separate living CHILD. She’s all but bragged about abortion. Zero shame. We live in sick self centered times.
Exactly. Your generation fought for mine, and I’ll be damned if I stop fighting for younger ones. If people don’t like it, too bad.

Just because you're over 60 doesn't mean you become invisible! We all have something to contribute!
I want a "Still Hot After All These Years" Tour, with Cyndi Lauper and Stevie Nicks... introduced by Annie Potts... ;-)
Don't forget Chrissie Hynde - she's still 'hot' still rocking it out, voice as good as ever!!
It's a good thing that a human life didn't "ruin" Fleetwood Mac and her career.

Honest question as a man. If a woman gets pregnant and the man wants the child, is it her body, her choice, or does the man not have a say in it?
Honest answer. The man does NOT get to make the choice. Her body, her choice. Period.
It depends on the situation. It doesn't automatically matter.
Stevie Nicks was a role model for all women. Her power became our power.
