Hello from Canada. I have tried this stitch 9 times in the past 2 days & I keep on frogging which is very frustrating. I was using 4 different tutorials & they all do the finished end differently when completing each row. Then I discovered your tutorial last night & now I finally have it. The other tutorials I was using did not explain as well as you have to exactly where to insert your hook for the ending of each row. I only crochet from using tutorials for the last 5 1/2 yrs & this stitch is definitely not hard. I've crocheted many of other difficult patterns but I was not going to give up as this stitch is so gorgeous. I am making baby blankets for the NICU units in the hospitals in Canada for tiny babies & this is such a lovely pattern. Thank you hon so very much as its much appreciated.
I knew I could count on you!! I can not for the life of me grasp this this watching other videos so I pulled up creative grandma to see if you had one on it and walla, thank you Jesus!! Thank You so much for making sense to me when no one else does❤
Glenda, you by far are the very best teacher. You made this stitch so easy for me to grasp. I read directions but just couldnt get it. Your tutorials are the best. I give you a 10 star rating. Thank you and love you❤
I've seen other videos of this stitch and just couldn't get the hang of it. But the way you show the technique it was easy to follow and made sense. Thank you!
You are just the best teacher I have ever seen, you explain so clearly, repeat and explain with each stitch you are making, Perfect!! Thank You! I am really learning the star stitch:)
The star stitch is lovely! Thank you so much Glenda for showing your viewers this pattern step by step. I truly adore how you teach and I really enjoy your video tutorials. So many wonderful crochet projects, I don’t know which one I’m going to do first!! Thanks again Creative Grandma for sharing! God’s wonderful & amazing blessings to you always!!
Oh! my gosh! You have the best tutorial for especially a newbie like me. They say as a newbie, choose a simply project as a granny square as your first. I say no to that ‘cause with your patience, pace and perfect explanation I think and know that I’m convinced that I can create this star stitch project. Thank you so much and thank you for your time 😧
Thank you for the tutorial! It helps me teach my grandchildren how to crochet. Sometimes it's just easier watching someone else and then I can help after. Thank you for all that you do!
I've never done this stitch before. It is so pretty and your instructions are so clear. I appreciate how many times you repeat the stitch so we can get the hang of it. I'll be using this stitch for sure. Thank you for the tutorial.
Thank you. I love this stitch. Off to try more of ur stitches too see which one I will use for a blanket for a little girl. So far this one is winning.
I’ve always been a bit intimidated by the star stitch, but you, Glenda, have explained and demonstrated it beautifully. I am now confident that I can do it. Because of you, I’m no longer afraid to tackle a project that uses the star stitch. Thank you so much 🙏🏻
I'm so glad you made this tutorial! In a million years I don't think I would be able to follow a written pattern no matter how well it is written. This looks like a pattern I would like to do! Is this a yarn eater? Thank you for the wonderful video and tips.
I love this stitch! I started a long chain to try for a scarf, got to the end and was missing 1 chain…so I inserted my hook at the beginning stitch, added 1, and knotted it off again. I’m learning a bunch of little tricks! Thank you 😊
Thank you for all of your patterns and hard work to get this video done for us. I am going to go get my yarn for this one. I have used several of your patterns and I love them. Thank you so much.
Finally, a great video on the star stitch. You nailed it! I gave up on trying to do it a couple of times but now I've mastered it and look forward to using it both alone and incorporated with other stitches. Thanks.
Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorials. I'm half way thru a sampler shawl that has a lot of stitches I've never done before, and no video tutorial 😲 I've managed to figure out most of the stitches, the pattern had pretty good instructions for special stitches. I went to start my next row and the instructions were so confusing. The pattern didn't refer to the new stitch as a "star stitch", nor was it listed as a special stitch with detailed instructions. I was about to give up, but thought let me search UA-cam. Sure enough, you had this wonderful tutorial for a star stitch and it's the mystery stitch in my pattern! Thank you, thank you ! 🙂🌹
Just wanted to thank you for this great tutorial. I have not been able to figure that stitch out and you made it clear to me. Also I couldn’t figure out why some of my stitches were on a different level than the next one. I see now that I’ve been crocheting sometimes in the front v and sometimes in the back v. I’ve been a subscriber for a few months and have crocheted for over 40 years but I can see a major improvement in my work. My only excuse is that I’m self taught. 🤔
I tried this stitch once and it went so wrong on the edges this tutorial will keep me right on the edges, thank you so much for simplifying it for me as I do love this stitch 🤗💖xxx
what a wonderful video. I think I have watched everyone made and this one I can do. I am making a scarf and don't want to carry my yarn. What happens if I cut my yarn?

Hi 👋 please demonstrate how to finish off the end rows when changing colors and carrying the yarn up. When I do it, it looks tacky. Thx
I tried to incorporate this stitch in a stitch sampler blanket, but it pulled the blanket inside. What can I do about that?
