Hi. This is a beautiful stitch and yarn color. The reminds me of a Moss stitch a little bit. The Moss is a half double and slip stitch. Thank you for your time with great instructions. ⚘️
I love your video tutorials! You have a very soothing calm clear voice! I am interested in a pattern for a baby or lap blanket, that incorporates various types of stitches to create a visual and tactile dimensional sensation!f For instance, Trinity, cable, HDC and a ridge line or a V stitch. The combination of different stitches is endless and so uniquely different. Just a thought! If anyone can pull this challenge up is YOU Robin! Thank you again for your beautiful video tutorials!
Thank you so much! It sounds like you’re talking about a stitch sampler type of blanket. These blankets usually include a bunch of different stitches together. That would be fun to do. 😊
Ok, so im still here trying to figure out which crochet hook works the best. I noticed when I go with the recommended size hook ( usa ) 5.5mm the sample swatch is SO THICK AND DENSE it feels like I'm making a RUG! I did a swatch in 6mm and it's noticably different, it's a bit softer and has more give to it. I just did a swatch using a 6.5mm hook and its AMAING!! Very soft and has more of a flow to it. I love it. Ty so much Amanda .
Glad you enjoy! Everyone’s gauge is different, which is why it’s nice to work a swatch and see what works best. Sometimes using a bigger hook can help as well. Happy crocheting!
I really love this stich Amanda, I've Never seen it before. I have been on the hunt for a stitch/pattern to make a baby blanket. I'm having trouble with the yarn It's Mandala Ombre and it so silky and slippery , it says it a 4 weight but i disagree it's more of a light 3 . The yarn keeps splitting as i'm trying to pull through my stitch One strand will get stuck . I've just done a swatch like you and not one snag and I love the stitch. ty so much
I’m glad you like this stitch! Some yarns can be slippery, which can be tricky. I think that’s why I stick to the same few yarns I know and love. Happy crocheting 🧶
Love this stitch, but I think your cat purring for the entire video was the best! Thank you for teaching me this stitch!!

Please forgive me I know your name is Amanda. Not Robin. That’s my sisters name and she inspired me to write this comment.

If I did this in cotton do you think it's a good texture for a wash cloth?
Yes I think so!
I like the stitch but it looks as if it would be a constant struggle to get the hook through the stitches.
Having a loose tension can help with this. It does take some practice 😊
I thought that sound was your ceiling fan 😹
Lol nope, just a very happy kitty 😸
