There are actually 2 cathedrals in Norwich...both beautiful. You must come back again as there's soooo much more to see. Very proud of my home city and well chuffed you paid us a visit! Love your channel. Wonderful couple and so relatable ❤
I used to go to Norwich annually with my late father and his morris dancing side for a mass meet up morris and folk weekend. Its a beautiful place. Colmans mustard museum is there, i remember visiting. Added to my list of places to revisit thanks James and Helen.
Norwich is a wonderful city in the East of England with so much history. I used to live near Norwich and me and my parents loved going to Norwich a lot before moving down to Essex in 2001. I still go to Norwich now and then.
I’m Tarn born and bred, but I love Norwich. I was based just up the road and spent many weekends in Norwich over 12 years. Excellent Vlog as usual, and you show a beautiful city in a fantastic way (btw, an awesome place to go out “on the pop”)
Fantastic absolutely love it , just stumbled in you guys while waiting for the England match to come on ,your so good I have carried on watching big big 👍👍from me .
Errrrrr well it pays the bills and that's why we are doing it for. You can get off at the next stop if you want. There are loads more channels you can watch 😊
A fine city indeed, Norwich is so beautiful, it has to be one of my favourite places in the UK, had some great times there ❤️👍 thanks for sharing as always
Great film, I live just over the road from the river near train station. The sights are gorgeous and change with weather, seasons and at night. I see same area so often but it comes across so much different abd I highly recommend coming back a different time of year as it will be as refreshing and different as first time you see it. You walked past tge plague outs a couple of times, lots of history in Norwich
Brilliant as ever. Iv been to Norwich & the castle. Remember the Primark 😃 & some of it, I don’t remember it being as beautiful ❤️ Love to you both. Lucy xx
You probably didn't notice it before entering the cathedral but immediately to your right had side was a monument of Lord Nelson. When you stood outside the refractory to your left is a monument of the Duke of Wellington.
@@ramadamming8498 *a pub for every day of the YEAR. Whilst that clearly isn't true any more, I look at the statistics and wonder what it was they were classifying as a 'pub' back when that figure was published. Nevertheless, Norwich is on par with Sheffield as the greatest ale city in the UK and personally I think it just has the edge. That said, you can't go wrong with a real ale pub crawl in either Sheffield or Norwich, they're both absolutely superb.
I live in Great Yarmouth and Norwich is a great place to visit so enjoyed this video chap. Plenty of good pubs and bars to visit. Keep the videos coming fella i swear i watch UA-cam more than normal tv 😂😂...all the best fella
I recently stumbled upon your channel and love it. Helen and yourself are so natural and honest, it feels more like sharing stories with friends. A lovely surprise to see you in my home city too, glad you enjoyed it and the weather was kind for your visit. Hope you will be back, there are so many more pubs (and chippies) to discover. The Reindeer and Fat Cat are two fine pubs a few minutes walk away from our other cathedral (yes, we have two of them). I'm happy to have found your channel and subscribed. Keep up the great work and continue being yourselves, I've enjoyed every video I've watched and found them informative and interesting. I really enjoy it when you have the random encounters with local characters or let the vibe of the day direct your plans (such as when you ended up at the Dream Wife gig in Newcastle). Plus your relaxed and open ways and gentle humour are so refreshing. You are people after my own heart.
Hi James Helen cracking video love it ..... And congratulations on nearly reaching the big 50,000 subscribers I have watched U from day one the first vlog U did it's been a brilliant awesome journey with U and Helen 🎉.... Your channel is wonderful and amazing and thanku very much for all the hard work and effort U and Helen do cheers andy 🤗🤗
Same, moved here in 2015 after living all over the UK for more than 30 years. I wasn't sure to start with but this place feels more like home than anywhere I've lived!
Lovely video of a lovely City. It's a shame you didn't go to the wetherspoons Queen of Iceni at the side of the waterfront where the cinema and night life places are.
Norwich has a beautiful railway station , have you noticed all old walls and buildings are made of pebbles, did you see the old mustard shop , the market is brill , there is a big shopping complex were all street food is , there was once as many pubs as churches , there was a lot , x
I'm from Norwich and a couple of things Norwich Catherdral isn't the second tallest spire in England its the fourth. Salisbury,St Paul's & Liverpool modern catherdral are all taller but Norwich's cathedral is the second tallest medieval spire. Norwich used to have a pub for every day and a church for every week. There is a book called Nasty Norwich (not sure if its still in print) that has a lot of information and stories.
Just seen you both with Mark and Lisa,so came to your channel. Was interesting to see where you went in Norwich, made some very good choices there on your tour. Then your previous day out in Cromer. Personally I prefer Sheringham. Well as you might have guessed I live in the Norwich ourskirts within easy reach of North Norfolk.
They say Norwich had a pub to go in for every day in a year and a church for every week in a year , you must visit Norwich around christmas time , best in week as gets busy , i mentioned railway station be nice to vlog them , im from salterforth near skipton , your not that far , so on door step is keighley beautiful station were Yanks the film was filmed , you can go around in steam train , theres howorth too , the 40s theme weekend there but you may have missed it or it maybe this weekend , up buds enjoy you do look worn out , james , x x bye both of you 👍👊👏😘
Great video. The castle was open, just looks closed due to the ongoing work.... As for churches & pubs. We had a church for every week and a pub for everyday...
James and Helen , nice vlog as always. Cheers for the heads up about Norwich, definitely worth a visit . James , I personally agree with you about holding British Values and Culture, more than ever these days .
Nice credit card holder Helen, enjoy! I was reading about the cathedral, there is at least one musket ball lodged in the stonework from an angry Puritan mob in 1643. It does look like a really well put together Norman cathedral after all the restorations. Nice that you could get in for free. Really enjoyed the walk around the city.😆🦈🦈 Hope you got some rest, you were sounding pretty weary at the end, I think you two could have used a nap. Take care
Hello both, ahh really enjoyed this vlog, brought back so many wonderful memories of when we lived there,Norwich is so beautiful, do hope you enjoyed your time there ,you guys are just Brill 😅😊❤
Thanks, you have made a city off our radar really interesting & deffo worth a visit, as usual, thats the main reason I love your vlogs. Great for upcoming summer trip lists! I do hope the Norwich Planning Officer was a client for his finale, the Probation Service. C'mon matey 50k subs!!!!
Next time you visit Norfolk..Blue Joanna is best place to eat but needs pre booking!! For good reason too. Also visit Geldeston locks inn and Ferry inn Reedham for some good Norfolk broads pubs and walks 😊
A great trip! It's like we are on a day out with you. I never knew Norwich was so interesting. Keep up the good work James, we love watching it here in Brazil! Prof. Geoffrey.
Another lovely vlog James and Helen. Norwich looks a very nice place to visit. We used to live next door to someone who had a loud car, she used to start it at 5am but then sat every time she started it for 2 minutes before she drove off. Used to wake the whole street, even at 5am on Christmas Day and New Years Day, SO inconsiderate.
Brilliant vlog as per usual. Could see that the two of you were enjoying things more and more as the alcohol flowed - and there's nowt wrong with that. Good job Helen's there to add a bit of glam!
Another great video. We went to Norwich last year as part of our coach tour, the Cathedral is magnificent, and we done exactly the same as you and made a donation. ❤
Lovely to see Norwich, used to go there a lot, but not for some time, brought back lovely memories. Such a shame the market was not open as I recall it was fantastic. Great vlog 👍🏻
Lovely video Norwich looks a nice place .Lots of interesting buildings and you both make the best comments. Love seeing how good you guys are together 😊. See you in the next video 😊😊

The Red lion where you had your first beer is the local for my nephew, and as stated above the Adam and Eve is a little further along the road, just a couple of the pubs I pop into when visiting from Yorkshire.🍻
I used to take the kids to Norwich all the time. Me and my OH went the other week but I have never been in the cathedral. There are a million churches and I love the castle. X
Just catching up with your visit after a busy week. What an amazing place! I went in my 20’s to the football and got a Newcastle brown bottle over my nut for my trouble. Never been back. Now I’ve seen this I’m going. What a brilliant place. Cheers guys, love your work! I’m 55 now! Lol

The tallest spire in England is Salisbury cathedral , love the videos.
That pub where you met that guy with guitar, if you had carried on walking on riverside you would of got to Adam and eve pub, lovely place norwich
like Alan Partridge said: "Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve" 🙂
Simon, with the guitar, lives two houses away from me and he’s definitely a character.
Love the Hornpipe at the beginning. Fair play to those musicians.
That was a lovely trip around Norwich enjoyed it a lot ❤😊
