- In today's episode we're in Huncoat, Lancs at The Griffin's Head, going toe-to-toe with a mixed grill challenge which has only been beaten once!
Diners get one sitting (no toilet breaks or funny business) in which to eat an 8oz sirloin steak, a pork chop, half a rack of ribs, some chicken wings, black pudding, burger patties, a fried chicken fillet, four eggs, tomatoes, onion rings, chicken skewers, a pot of beans and a mountain of chips...do so and you get a coveted winner's shirt and a free drink...
This one's a pay-to-play so it'll set you back £40 regardless, but you know how I feel about winning t-shirts!

I'm a 115 pound anorexic and I really hated food. I just never felt hungry I'd only eat a PBJ slice of pizza or two or plain pasta at night only, legit 23 hours without food daily.. I been binge watching your videos and out of nowhere I started having cravings, I ate 3 times yesterday!! Like right now I feel soo dam hungry and that's not normal for me. I think you may have gotten me to want food.
I'm a vegetarian (cheese is my weakness) so close to vegan. But I look at all that meat and I start to salivate.

well you keep wanting food mate but exercise as well and you will be eating a good meal every time you eat go swimming and to the gym at least 3 a times a week each a good hour of both will soon perk up your appetite

Apart from the restaurants that Cheat and pile on extra food when they see who it is.
Been a few so far.
I like how he doesn't try to cheat/skimp and always gets the crumbs and little bits left behind on the plate.
I mean he didn't need to... he got a cheesecake after that as well
He's picky about the small pieces because of a eating challenge where got called out on for leaving pieces so he has been thorough after that.
That's because loads of people commented about debris on his earlier videos, it's dumb that they do that but Adam is very accommodating to the viewers.

Usually the ones that want people to fail are the challenges where it's free if you beat it. This was 40 quid no matter what, so the guy made his cash.
That little moment when someone said they liked your videos. And the way you said "thank you" made my dry little heart creak a bit. Which means I've probably had too much to drink. Very sweet. 🖤 I'm not being facetious. 🙂

It seems like most of these food challenges are busted by small to regular size guys. I would of thought you have to be at least 300 pounds to get it done.

Can we take a moment to appreciate that the chef didn't try to cheat the portion size when he recognized Beard? It was fair play to both sides in the challenge, and that is what I for one like to see!
I don't know. The piles of chips looked a little bigger yet again.
Why would he? The meal isn't even free. He had nothing to gain, as a matter of fact, Adam would have gotten extra food for his money.
The chef sounded proud when he read off the numbers and stated it was 1 pound of fries. If he was going to cheat, he would have said something more vague about the quantity and not given a specific amount.
Yeah for sure, not hiding extra chips/cheese throughout his meal
There was no time limit so he would of won regardless would of sat there for 4 hours like the other guy a onion ring every 5 mins
The super fan in the car park was like a puppy that gets so excited he not only wags his tail but lifts his feet off the ground while doing so. Absolute gem moment. Of the dozen or so challenges of watched Beard do so far, this is by far the easiest. I see the food come out and think, this is just a light snack for him - especially because there is no time limit.
So back in the day, I grew up with the amazing Adam Richmond on the food network in the U.S. And I still think he is incredible, because I realize what you do is not easy at all. But you MAKE IT LOOK EASY! Which means, you are truly the reigning king of these incredible challenges! I love and support you and Mrs.Beard! She is such a sweet little light on your show when she appears. I love to see your admiration and love for each other. I am going to start looking for challenges in Pittsburgh, PA, for you! @@Beardmeatsfood I would think it would be easier to eat the chips and onion rings with the meat to combine the flavours, instead of being "stuck" with the chips at the end?
@@thomashoglund5671 I think I would do the same, but I believe he's developed a method that lets things properly situate in his stomach. If you eat the chips too early I believe they expand in your stomach super quick and make it harder to get through the meal. I'm guessing they still do at the end but its easier to deal with the pain after rather than during.
But sometimes he does break the rules purely to enjoy it a bit more.

Those onions rings sounded perfect. They sounded like the quintessential onion rings. They had crunch while also being flaky and the onion within didn't look stringy and looked like it just snapped right away. That's an amazing chef.

Looked like the best onion rings I've ever seen. I notoriously hate onions and anytime something says it comes with onion rings I say 'without them please'.
Nothing beats a 11/10 onion ring though, but so few places are capable of it I just skip unless someone else recommends them.
I know that is the only part of that meal I would want any part of.

So watching you scarf down food while I also have what I would consider a giant plate of flood really helps and motivates me to keep taking bites. I've gained 40Ibs watching you, and thats really really good considering before watching you i was 110Ibs 5'8 Male. Not great. Just wasn't hungry ever. One bite would fill me up. So you really helped me with having what I would feel is a friend or mate with me helping me motivate me to keep pushing. You've really done more than you could think to help me love my body.
