+Barry Dunlap Ha! You think english verb tenses are hard? Sure, there are a lot of irregulars, like the past participles can be difficult for non-native speakers, but a language like russian, where not only verbs conjugate but nouns decline into 5 cases (oh and they're gendered, natch)? Or arabic? Forget about it. The biggest problem with non-native speakers learning english is for sure the vocabulary. English has way more words than any other language.
Mandarin is not such hard like you talked, we have no verb-changing,no tense, you just have to know some Chinese characters and put them in a logical sequence, also there will be very useful in learning Korean japanese and Vietnames language after you mastered Chinese characters
hah,i'm a chinese,it's a little diffcult even for most of the chinese, but the accent of us is right, if u do your best in practiceing chinese, u will speak good chinese, believe it

She is so adorable and is so good at teaching pronunciation. I can finally pronounce the characters thanks to you. The accent marks can be a pain in my butt though. Thanks for all your help.
@@fauxhawksexipapi Chinese names aren't hard to pronounce, people just choose not to ask how to properly say someone's name (I am not one of those people)

Well! When spoken sounds really different and much more harder! Thank you for making sounds more easier! Encouraging indeed...even I’m suspicious for what’s next I’m more confident now! Oh my g. You amazing step 1 complete O_O! ...Must continue...lol.You really explained it pretty easy, I just figured if im starting just like in English have to learn the Alphabet first. Thank you for your video.
Yeah, that is definitely one of the harder sounds to get right. Try thinking of it like the english word "use". Only drag out the u sound on this word, its fairly similar. Also, when you try saying it make your mouth pretty flat with the corners down, almost like you're frowning with an open mouth and your tongue should be pretty flat and between your top and bottom teeth all the way back to the molars.
For some odd reason I'd really like to speak Chinese, Japanese, Russian. I'm currently starting with Chinese and to be quite honest it seems pretty easy as far as this video and others I've watched. Thank you for taking the time to make this video, very clear to watch. :) slowly but shortly ^¬^
I don't know why she teaches the vowel E as making the "ay" sound when it makes the "uh" sound, as in he 河, for river. The "ay" sound is when you combine "ei" together, like "fei" 飛, for fly.
LOL it was like that for me the first time. I always asked my teacher; "laoshi, what exactly is the difference between the zh, ch, sh, j, q and x sounds??". She explained and explained and I got more confused! But now, I know the difference and no one really taught me. I figured it out my self with time. It could be pretty difficult at first but if you get to hear it almost every time, you'll learn without trying too hard. It's fun actually.
chinese isnt like english. it uses pictures that show a meaning and the left part of it shows the meaning and the right is pununctuation.for example the word for horse and ant are the same so ant has the symbol of a insect at the left and horse at the right so you know its said the same as horse but has the meaning of an insect.
I suggest that you can find a tutor for basic and then you can go some program for advanced. I suggest that cuz if you are really good at studying this, the program is kind of wasting time because they need to take care of everything in class.

Quite easy language. Only ten thousand or so characters and maybe a hundred dialects. Any dedicated person can learn in a century or two.
Then how come there's almost 2 billion people in the world who know Chinese?
Because its their country language
Chinese people will face same difficulty in learning English
Or
what ever your national language is!
You're not trying very hard!!! English is the hardest for non English speaking people because of our different verb tenses...

have to point out that she pronounced "e" in the vowels wrong (5:11). "e" sounds like "ə" in English but in a flat tone.
I also need to point out that in the summary, she had forgotten 2 letters: w and y.
