An English teacher back in high school told us the three most difficult languages to learn were 3) English, 2) Russian, and 1) Chinese. I’m finding Mandarin blessedly simple in some ways, a little confusing in others, for example the different word order & when to use certain particles like “le”. It probably isn’t either the world’s most or least difficult language. Thank you for these lessons that make learning enjoyable.
Your teacher might have totally forgotten abt arabic, ive been learning both chinese and arabic, grammr wise, Arabic is on a totally different level... however i find the pronunciation a lot harder in chinese as there is a tones to each syllable.
Cantonese (Hong Kong) is actually thar hardest language to learn, which they even use numbers to help you with prononciation,and which IMO makes it more confusing. Russian is easy since it's a Latin based language

@@GabrielGarcia-300 There are some rules you can learn to be able to write in Arabic so its not that hard, just like english it's made of letters. As for grammer if you deeply go down on اعراب , تحلیل صرف and باب الافعال they are pretty hard to learn. But overall it is the perspective I have. I myself find Chinese speaking and pronunciation rather easy whereas one may face difficulty speaking it.
Im from New York City and my mom likes going to chinatown to take bus tours to different states. Since most of the attendees that come on these tours are chinese, I wanted to learn the language so I can have conversations with them (plus its fun). Your videos helped me alot, thank you 😌

Very clear and easy to follow video. I find that it is just the right speed and amount of repitiition. There are pinyin and Chinese characters and English making it a lot easier to follow than many of the other Mandarin videos on UA-cam. In addition, Yishang makes it interesting and funny to learn. Thanks for making these videos and keep up the good work!

when u learn only 2 words a day it will make 730 words a year. while learning words, ull understand gramma. no language is hard when u take time. low and slow works good and shows that its even possible to learn Mandarin, when u keep up.
I stopped learning Chinese ten years ago, and I really miss it. Trying to catch up a bit again, and your channel will be very useful for this! A question: I seem to remember we learned 我听不懂 and 我听不清楚 as well. I don't recall learning 我没听懂< Is the 我听不懂 the same as 我没听懂？ My gut feeling tells me there might be a slight difference. Am I right? 我没听懂 = I didn't understand (but I might understand if you repeat) 我听不懂 = I don't understand (because you are using words I don't know/don't understand) 我听不清楚 I interpret as "I didn't understand it well/clearly", possibly because the speaker didn't speak clearly or there was a lot of noise, and you were unable to distinguish the words? Thanks for this excellent channel by the way! 我很喜欢！
