any trip that is more than 10 minutes away uber should pay you $5 extra.

@@joshwalters3148 I have been paid 50 cents to 1.00 extra max. for rides that are 15 to 20 min away. For what they pay in my area....there is NO way to make money consistently driving far for pickups.

In a busy town with lots of action you can probably do fine with this policy. However a lot of us live in more rural and suburban areas and simply cannot get a rider less than 7 minutes away.
If you can, get on Uber platinum and it will tell you how long the ride will last in terms of minutes. This is not a perfect gauge for the length of the ride but my policy is that if a ride is further than 10 minutes away it the ride has to be at least 10 minutes long for me to accept it. Equal time going to for equal ride time.
Get yourself up to Uber Pro Platinum. It's well worth it.
I got a 25 min away ride and took a chance and accepted because it was 6:00am....and my hunch panned out...it was an airport ride, an hour from pick up and I got a $20 tip...I wouldn't take that risk all the time though...

The passenger kept getting me. And I was patient and she tipped me 1,000 cash. 300 cash tip once before. I get big tips in cash often. I don't know how ... maybe I'm living right
I almost always regret taking a ride that is over 10 minutes away. I took one this last weekend. I got $0.17 from Uber for the long pick up fee, but the ride was 5 minutes and I got $3.67 for the minimum fare. Then I spent 10 minutes getting back to the area where I could wait for more rides. The passenger gave me a $1 tip. By the time this was done I wasted 25-30 minutes for $4.67. Uber needs to raise the minimum fare that drivers actually earn to $10. This $3.67 nonsense is getting old.
The only time long pick ups work for me is if it happens to be in a location I am heading towards anyway or if I'm in a town near the middle of nowhere and the pick up is in the middle of nowhere because when you pick up someone in the middle of nowhere they normally want to go somewhere some distance away.
The small minimum fare is what incentivises passengers to take uber rides in the first place. If the minimum fare was raised to $10, then people would simply take taxis instead.
Matthew Southall no.... a proper fair rate can be created that isn’t too bad for passenger and they already know that living far way logically increases the rate, the rate Uber used is stupid. .70 cents and you could of ridden 25 min to pick them up. Get real. Should be like an extra 3-10 bucks that goes str8 to the driver depending on distance and or time. It’s. Not. Fuxking rocket science

Remember that a taxi charges you when they leave the base.
If Uber wants people to service rides that are 20 minutes away so they can go a short distance, they should throw an insensitive fee to the driver.
LYFT is the same way..

I only accept 4-8 minutes and nothing further. a 15-22 minute ride will cancel you out as you drive there because another driver will be closer than 15 minutes eventually as your driving and cancel you. . UBER should include a 6 dollar pickup charge for your gas and time. Otherwise there is NO incentive for such a distance and you'll lose money and time.
The best strategy against this is to not accept the ride

I drove for Lyft I used to get requests 25, 30 or 45 min away, I'm not lying... I didn't accept them and Lyft rate me really low in accordance rates... I don't drive for those users anymore.. I couldn't be more happier..
In the past I have accepted a few rides that had about a 15-minute ETA. One of the long ETA rides that I accepted was way out in the Boondocks and the rider came all the way back to the coastal areas so it turned out to be a very lucrative ride. I use the directional rides a lot and I noticed that Uber no longer shows you the destination ahead of time anymore on the directional ride, which is stupid, and sometimes I noticed that the rides they give me are actually going in the opposite direction, so sometimes I will get stuck with that ride. I have cancelled on one occasion when it was way out of the direction that I was traveling. I think it really is time for Uber to start showing the driver's the pickup point and the destination at the time that the driver accept the ride, as the destination was just too far out of my way after I arrived and spoke to the rider. Uber is still playing this game with the drivers, by not showing them the pickup point and the destination at the time that the drivers accept the ride, again which is just stupid as it just leads to the drivers canceling the ride when they see the actual pickup point, or when they arrive and they see the actual destination, if it is a place that they don't want to go to, basically this just delays everyone including the Riders and the drivers.
I accepted a ride that took me 23 minutes to get to the passenger because I knew that person had absolutely NO chance of catching another driver. The rider happened to be going to my backyard neighbor's house (about a 40 minute drive away) & tipped me $150 dollars after I dropped him off. Needless to say, after a full day of driving, I was happy to call it quits for the night. BTW, that was just pure luck for me, as I was not running my destination filter at the time. Sometimes, just being nice to people who are in a bad situation really pays off.
Uber and lyft should charge tha passengers for the miles to pick them up, if they are more than a mile away.

My answer to the titled question: If it's not my very first ride then absolutely "No." There are rare occasions when I will accept a ride more than 10 mins away during my work day and that's when it's really slow AND the ride is on my way back to a metro area OR I have both the Uber & Lyft app on (and sometimes I'll accept a closer ride from the competing app (cancel the current ride) if I'm en route and still too far from the first request. When I stick to my guns and don't accept the longer rides at all, I do better financially for the week as a whole. I've learned after a year of driving full-time when you allow desperation to overcome your discipline in your strategies, you'll lose more than you gain.
I drive in the S.F. bay area. I drive early in the morning and after work. When I get a request early in the morning and it is 12 to 15 mins. away, I don't take it, because I know it is a long way to the pick up. Happened to me the other morning....accepted the ride before I realized it was 16 mins. away and he only went 8 miles....but it took me 45 mins. to get back because of traffic. So, from now on, nothing more than 10 mins. away in the morning.
I receive request which was 25 minutes away I did not accept it. the reason I didn't accept it was because one the person probably give you a lower rating because there is no uber in their area so they are already mad and upset.
as a frequent rider I get annoyed when a far away driver accepts my request, especially if I can see others who are closer by on the gps. Part of the perk of ride sharing apps is being picked up within 3-5 min.
You should be annoyed at fucking Uber NOT the driver. Idiot. Drivers have to keep a certain acceptance rate.

On the app Uber/Lyft should have circles...10 min...15 min...20 min...
Outside those circles, the fare is higher to cover fuel and labor...
Or the customer pays an extra $3, $5, $7...something like that...
And the cancellation fee is higher...$10...plus the extra...

Here in Atlanta you can have a 10-15 min request that is 2 miles away (traffic can get that bad and worse!). There are several things I account for when choosing whether to pick someone up or not.
1) Distance in miles (I try to drive the least amount of dead miles as possible)
2) Distance in time (traffic can be really bad but sometimes you might as well since it will take you that long to get anywhere else)
3) Surge (I'll definitely drive 10-15 minutes for a 2.0x or more surge request)
4) uberPool (I don't drive more than 10 mins or 5 miles for these guys)
5) Time of day (if it's early chances are it could be an airport run, middle of the day probably a short ride, etc.)
6) Area of the request [ties in a lot with #5 (if it's at a hotel chances are they are going to the airport or if it's near a large corporate office that usually has consultants)
7) Pax score (if you're a 4.5 or lower I won't pick you up)
8) My acceptance & cancellation rate (sometimes you gotta bite the bullet to raise those numbers)
9) My energy level (sometimes it will be towards the end and I'll just say the hell with it)

Hi Harry! Well, you know ETA is really a business decision based on each driver's profitability profile based on cost justification. For me, I drive a Minivan that get's about 17-19/gallon, so (assuming the pax will ONLY be taken a minimum fare drive), my longest ETA is 6 minutes. It used to be 8 minutes, but *since UBER has increased their commission "scalp" to 28% in the Detroit Area*, I've lowered my ETA max to 6 minutes, meaning, if a pax is MORE THAN 6 minutes away, I ignore the ping request. Otherwise, I'm losing money on the trip due to gas mileage and time compensation. *WHAT IRRITATES ME TO NO END IS THIS:* I'm sitting at the Airport waiting in queue for an Airport "Arrival" trip and UBER pings me to drive 12 min, 15 min, 18 min, or as high as 20-22 min away from my location to pick someone up!! Wow, are they kidding!?? LOL! - JD

Very, very disheartening, I am in queue sitting and waiting to pick up a ride at the airport for about 35 to 45 minutes and when your time comes Lyft send you a request outside the airport in the nearby city of East Boston to pick up a Line for 2 passangers away of 11 minutes for a ride of less than 5 minutes (who they kidding?)

How are people getting away with the decision to deny? I'm new, driving for Lyft, and they're sending me messages saying that I'm not accepting rides as much as other people. I don't know what the penalty is if I keep doing that, but I thought we get to make the choice to accept or not. What's the penalty if I keep ignoring a request? I don't know what to do
Uber sent me for a 10 min premium pickup and paid me a 0.08 never again do I accept premium pickups!

honestly it's a dice game. I'm in Philadelphia and it's 50 50 on rides over 10 minutes some have been great and some have been 3 blocks away. most request that are more than 10 or 15 minutes away usually cancel but not always. uber should just pay you for the travel to the rider when they are far away and going a short distance. if they split it with the rider 50/50 I think it would work.
rate the 3 block rides 1 star until such riders get weeded out

Thomas I am in the city of Milwaukee but, will work the surrounding 3 county's. my car just got knocked off uberselect after doing it since >2 yrs. avg 36 to 60 trips per week on x= 1.10 mile.
Uber should start charging the customer as soon as the ping is accepted. Then unprofitable rides would disappear.

Ive had so many requests that are 20 plus mins away to have them go one mile and i get 2.25 on lyft its bs so when i see the pickup is over 15 mins away i decline it till lyft pays us extra for it. Everyone needs to do this

I have accepted rides more than 10 minutes away when things are slow - and Every Time, the ride gets cancelled when I am less than 2 minutes away! So, I pass on them now.
You could also power down your phone immediately to cancel out the request, and it will not hurt your acceptance rating at all. Some people also try putting their phone in airplane mode, but I like to turn it off completely with a restart when I don't want the ride request. I made a video on this one!
8 minutes is my limit.... I won't drive more than that to pickup.
Sometimes, 8 minutes can be 2 miles also. Depends on where and at what time. I'll accept up to 15 minutes as long as it is 3 miles or less away, plus or neg 1 or 2 miles. More if it is a surge ride 2.0x and higher.

If the distance between pax/driver is more than 5 miles or 5 minutes, a surcharge should be applied or surge should be applied.

I drive in a rural area. Most trips are 10 to 15 minutes away to pick up a rider. Yes, you do get some short trips, but many are longer. A trip to the airport is an easy $35. Many of the shorter trips, the riders are grateful that you came that they do tip well. The new in app tipping feature has given me a few tips, but has increased my cash tips as well.
good tips. I hate the minimum fare rides during bar hopping. I keep to the outer city limits between 9p-midnight to avoid this is possible.

I think both Uber and Lyft need to start taking into account total distance travelled on a trip and paying accordingly. I picked up a guy Saturday night who had two prior drivers cancel on him after they accepted because they saw where he was. This is a TERRIBLE customer experience. He was very grateful to me and tipped me well but I think if they had shown the other drivers where he was before they accepted it could have avoided this. I think they should be showing the distance to pick up and projected realistic fare so people can make an informed decision before accepting.
I just got burnt last night. Repeatedly I went downtown where it was hopping only to get a request in the suburbs for a short ride. I was so frustrated that I was just ready to call it quits for the night. Would waste over a half hour for crap fares.

In my area, it's very common to have rides 10-15 minutes away. My limit is 20 mins. The other day I had two Lyft requests 29 minutes away. Needless to say I ignored them both.
I do not accept anything more than 9 minutes away, last saturday I started working and my first call was 12 minutes away, I figured since it's my first I accepted, as soon the navigation started it was 16 minutes, I cancled the trip and kept on going and got a request with lyft 3 minutes away and enedup with $5 tip as well.

Here in Cleveland, OH, I'll do a 15 or even 20 minutes trip to pick up a rider depending on the time of day.
On a related topic, it seems Lyft is working to balance the distance traveled to the passenger to the distance of the ride itself. I no longer get Lyft requests to drive 29 minutes to take someone for a ride that pays me $3!
MediaProsper Youre lucky. I was in Brook Park recently, when I got a request that was 20 some minutes away. Without thinking I accepted the ride which then took me down to Eliria to pick up someone to take them home from their work which is like 2 miles away from there. So a 20-minute trip to get there for a 3-mile ride after I got there. That is not exactly a profitable trip. Oh and I forgot a deadhead ride back to Cleveland.
I'm in the cleveland area too. But more suburb/rural. I tested the app with Lyft last night, and got a couple of ride requests that were all 20 minutes away or more. I don't have hardly any dependency on lyft for income, and I'm only doing this for a specific type of passenger clientele that would be worth driving for, but it makes me wonder, if I end up having

It depends on where the ride originates. If the pickup is in a more remote area the chance good that the ride will be a long one.
I emailed both platforms tell them about giving us a "distance guarantee" meaning that the ride should equal the time and distance of the us getting to them. Also, have rider locked in with 5 minutes of our travel time to them to where they can't cancel without a fee. Yesterday I had a guy 12 minute away and he canceled as entered the parking lot of where he was at. I found him and gave him a stern lecture.
I took a call that was 13 mins away was a 25 min ride only made 18 bucks got a premium pick up fee but it was only buck and half

The problem I've been having is I'll accept what it says to be an 8 min ride. I'll start following the Nav headed toward the pick up and I will see the ETA increase from 8 to 11 then 13. I've seen it hit as high as 17 min after accepting a ride that was under 10 min when I accepted
Uber isn't too bad... usually 15 minute radius. Lyft on the other hand... has a bigger reach. I had requests on Lyft that are 30...45... minutes away. Once had a request for someone 72 minutes away. I don't cancel. I just stay where I'm at until they cancel or I'll text them to let them know I'm far. Because 9 out 10 no one pays attention to the wait time. Then within 5 minutes they see that far away, they will cancel or contact me.
Excellent idea. It would have taken me a long time to figure that 1 out. But if you're not going to get paid by deadheading that long and only losing money you gotta do what you gotta do
Should limit your pick-up to 10 +/- minutes unless you are in the boondocks where the passenger would most probably has no choice but to wait. However, I would call the passenger and confirm that he is willing to wait.
my advice will be never pick up a rider with a lower rate they will give you a low rate.

Nice video. I'm new to driving n drive LYFT. So Sunday's is a big day where people are going back to the airport here. So I try to stay in an area that I know is going to get me those long rides. Once in awhile I take someone locally. Anyway I have gotten a message from Luke saying I'm not accepting as many rides as most people. Well that frustrates me because one I'm trying to use some strategy, into if I don't accept why should that be held against me isn't that the point of showing me and giving me the option to choose as a driver what rides I want? If not they might as well just take that away and just automatically give me rides. Not sure what to do about this
I factor “Total” distance to pickup and drop-off b/4 accepting. For me, at least a dollar a mile. Some of you may want more depending on your income situation. I only get about 5 seconds to decide in my area so you gotta add up the miles quickly and decide either way.
No way !!. We need to get paid for pickups. Traffic getting there 1. We are already driving around waiting for a ride for nothing so once you accept it we are now contracted to go pick up we should be getting paid once we accept......! Our time rates are terrible 👎 Nj. .12c a minute.
15-20 minutes usually equates to 15-20 miles away. Then a 1 mile ride equates to losing money. Especially if you don't get a ride back into town.

I go by distance mostly and don't pay to cross a bridge for a pickup if it's a paid toll direction. Your not reimbursed unless the passenger is already in the car. I don't need another expense deducted OFF the earnings.
I drove 14 minutes for an XL on Friday night....pull down the block and rider cancelled. Drive back up into town and they requested another xl same address. But only 5 minutes away, went back and it was a minimum fare ride.
Uber uses this ridiculous tease on these long pickups - "Pickup premium likely." Likely? Guarantee it and I "might" go. I've done some of the long pickups and then checked the ride payout breakdown, and the pickup premium is not impressive.
With Lyft, your accept rate will drop if you don't accept. The worst is when a long arrival then cancels.
I like 30 mins south of Salt Lake City, my first ride logging on today was to slc from provo (hour south) I declined.
If you're not going to accept a call/ride 10-15 minutes away for good reasons then it's safe to say that if a passenger who gets any given driver when they log into the system for a ride and it says 10-15 minutes away, the chances of that driver going to them is probably 50-50. I've had that happen to me and instinctively, I knew, based on my Lyft riding history, that the farther away the driver is, the likely chances they will cancel on you and another closer driver will need to get that ride.

I usually like to take rides within a 3 mile radius and sometimes a 6 miles like if I’m on the freeway and I know the area where the pick up is. Sometimes the time is due to bad traffic. I’m also based in Los Angeles.

I Drive Uber in New York, a 10-minute trip may only be two miles away because of the traffic, I would have to turn down half of my trips. I go by mileage, if a fair is more than 5 miles away i will not go. When I first started driving for Uber I took everything but I come to realize Uber don't give a crap about me sending me 10 miles away to drive somebody 2 miles

No way. I accepted one the other day and I made $3.75. Then I sat there for 30 minutes and not one ping. So drove back to busy area
In the DC area, my experience is 7 or 8 minutes away is considered long, and I am very reluctant to accept anything 10 minutes away or above. It sucks to drive that far only to have the passenger going a couple of blocks and you make the minimum. I prefer not to even chance it, and with me being in a busy area, the away times are not usually that far so it's not a real concern.
I LOve it when I am in Alexandria and they send me a Ride P/U request to MGM> been stuck over there too many times, unless i am a mile away I don't take anything at MGM..
I do pickup at 10 min out when not at surge times, but 15 min and beyond is very hairy at times. Uber and Lyft need to go away with acceptance rates and charge passengers for distance to pickup beyond a 8 min pickup. Charging $1.00/mile is fair and an additional $0.20/min

When there was a driver shortage, long driving times for a pickup were common.. If you drive in rural places or spread out cities, like Lancaster and Palmdale, long pick up drives are common.. Driving in the city where it takes 10 min to drive 2 blocks are common.. All are a waste of time and part of RideShare driving..
Some comments are great. A lot of them would be more helpful for new and experienced drivers if the commentator included where he/she was located so an association could be made for particular markets. Thanks.
With the new Uber Pro, having a Gold status give you a ride length along with the notification of the ride. It comes in real handy when you get a ride notification, you can look at the ride length and direction. It makes it simple to decide to accept the ride.
Usually the further away they are, the shorter distance they go. Like to the corner store for cigs. or a block away to McDonalds ewww

Does the boost go towards the cancellation if the ride cancels?
My acceptance rate in both Lyft and Uber are so low.....Lyft keeps giving me requests 20 25 minutes away ...Uber eats and Uber same thing I sit here in a busy market area and get pinged 16 miles away...thinking of quitting over this it never used to be this bad... Round lake illinois...so last night my acceptance rate was real low so I took one 18 minutes away...guess what restaurant was closed....I'm ripping my hair out ....
Dear Harry, this is an other great topic and interesting subject to be analyzed by rideshare drivers so since I can't talk for anyone else but myself, here is what I do and I believe. As a resident who lives in the state which honers the second Amendment and as someone who has a CHL permit (Carry concelled firearms), I don't see any contradiction with having it with me during the work at all even with all Uber and Lyft policies and regulations but why did they come up with such a policy and restriction, it has a complicated and long story which I can translate it to a simpler words and expressions such as, "Uber/Lyft can not rely on any individual gun holders justification when there is a potential dangerous situation and obvious self defense" so they will come up with a general rule which includes every one. Yes, that is right. Using the handguns even for legally license holders are not without negative consequences so it will get processed and judged by authorities based upon the gun holders justifications and what he/she has to support his act. Now if you are one of those who respect the second amendment and legally have permission to carry handguns and you can accept your justification consequences as well as you know this is just for self defense when accessing the police isn't even an option then you definitely know what you are doing and most likely nothing bad even happen to you but at the present time a vast group of drivers don't even need to bother themselves to think about these options such as drivers who live in the state of CA like yourself. There is no way you can get such a permission through taking legal steps because there isn't such an opportunity or advantage for that state.
I got deactivated by Lyft for refusing rides . Sorry not driving 30 minutes for any ride . There is no way a ride over 15 minutes away is going to be worth it . even if the ride ends up being 30 minutes long, you still have way to much time and cost wrapped up in it to be profitable .
Lyft is aware of this issue. I drove a Lyft Management Exec last night from the Airport to Detroit and Lyft's ETA TIME ISSUE is a massive problem for them!! Their solution has been to try to saturate several areas with more Lyft drivers, but that is not working, so they are (apparently) going to be doing a major upgrade to their app with a lot of really cool new features that allow drivers more information when the ETA is longer than 8-10 minutes. *I told the Exec myself that it's not fair to us drivers to be "arm twisted" into accepting rides by threat of deactivation (based on low acceptance % rate) because then Lyft is essentially controlling our time and treating us like "employees", which is why UBER changed their "acceptance rate" policy to never deactivate a driver based on low acceptance ratings but only on high cancellation rates.* He seemed to agree, so I hope Lyft "get's this" issue and makes the necessary changes so that both parties (Driver and Pax) are getting the most benefit and profitability from the Ride-Sharing Industry. Johnny, that's great but in my mind Lyft is doing to little to late . Lyfts whole organization just comes across as dishonest. and kinda desperate . They market themselves as your buddy with a car but threaten and harass drivers with constant emails and texts . I could go on but we all know the drill . I can't say Uber is perfect, but I can say they have worked better for me and have never harassed me . With over 4000 rides I prefer Uber .

Another great option I use .. and that I'm gonna share here is .. check their star rating. As an 2+ yrs. Experienced Uber Driver (now a Comfort driver). I WON'T pickup a Rider, who has a Rating lower than 4.80 - - -
This could tell you, if they "value" Rideshare drivers 🤔. Just some FYI that could help drivers. And determine if is worth you picking them up or not.
I was at the RedHawk Indian Casino in El Dorado Hills last night...its a huge casino. and I ended up being there because a ride wanted to go there....only issue is its way out in the middle of nowhere. as it turned out I was ready to just sit there and wait for anyone leaving that casino, but I ended up getting a call from Roseville Ca (over 30min away) that customer called to verify my distance and cancelled...my next call was only 17min away...needless to say I would rather uber implement a wait for a call from this location feature in the app...because there truly are places just like this casino that WILL pay off good if u get that option...it should be noted that I got a 35bux fare taking a ride to the casino...i coulda got a similar fare leaving because it's truly that far away from civilization..
I've stopped accepting rides over 10 miles away...the reason being if we assume that you need to return the distance you drive to accept the trip that means 20miles of driving just so you can possibly get a 1.5 mile trip. that s 21.5 miles of driving....close to a gallon of gas....so it's simply not worth it to accept the trip expense.
I really don't mind the bar hopping requests cos they usually pay a median of $4 and change and I could do 7-8 short trips an hour which keep me in the surge area I usually make 130-150 in less than 5hrs. Loved the vid though I subscribed after watching it.
Where I live there are almost no rides very often. I will take one that is 10-15 for my first ride because I figure they are moving me to a busy spot. It often works out for me. Sometimes I get a request as soon as I go on my app. I never know.
Keep it under 10 min. Sit still so your rating doesn't drop if you don't want the ride. Never cancel if you can keep from it. Sit and they will cancel
Do I just literally sit, also, do you go wherever the app takes you, or, are you selective
I usually text or call them and tell them that I will be arriving a bit late, if they don't mind the wait I go for it. Usually if they know that you came to pick them up from afar the tip chances increases greatly and that makes up for the short trip and the likelihood of them canceling goes down to basically 0. I drive in a small city so the further you will go is bout 10-12 depending on the traffic. There is a lot of rural areas around the measure for me is not on block size but miles. Most of the them comes to town and is a 12-15 dollar ride plus a high percentage chance of a tip.
I call people that 10 to 15 minutes away ask them if they are sure they want the car
I tell maybe get a car closer to them....
Hey how’s it going! The other day i got a ride that read 10 min but it also had a note to it that read “Long Trip” So have you heard from other drivers about Uber giving you a heads up when there long trips?
Yes I got a message like that ended up being over an hr ride total. I made like 50 bucks bv which is awesome for where I live and drive. But there are times that I get 15/17/20 mile rides which is again great for here.
I hate that you can’t tell the destination until the person is in the car.
Where I live (Sonoma County, CA) 15 to 20 min drives to pick up passengers are very common and frustrating. I drive a new SELECT, so driving 20 min to get an UberX, which could be a short ride, is not worth it. It is very frustrating when I am in Petaluma on Saturday night when it is surging 2X plus and 80 pct of the pings I get want to send me to Novato or Sonoma, both over 20 min away. If I refuse them then I can be blocked from driving or lose my bonus for a 73 pct acceptance rate.
I have written to Uber saying that if we have to drive 15 min or more to get people in another town, or in the country, there should be an added fee. I rarely drive for Uber now, only when it is convenient for me.
And here we are 2 years later and we have 4$ premium pickup fee to go from SR proper to Kenwood or Glenn Ellen for a $6.38 fare. Sorry NOT gonna work.
This dude is a cool aid drinker. I call every time i accept a request. Why ? Becauss i am entitled to know where the passenger is going.
For example i got a XL request 11 minutes away. After accepting the ride i call the passenger rightaway. Where she was going ? Right accross the street. Moving some stuffs to her new apartment. I told to please rent a van.

Idk if you’re aware, but Lyft might be testing a new destination mode feature that allows you to select an area to stay within! Saw it on my friend’s app, but I don’t have it yet. She also can see this map that gives her an estimated wait time to receive a ride in a given area? Not sure if that’s available to everyone either.
I have acc. 15 minutes away and usually they have been good usually 35 to 40 dollar rides and one time the pax gave me a 40 dollar tip because he said he knew i drove far and he was only going only 5 min. Away
